Chapter 68: Chapter 68: Lilith — The Demon King Descends!
Feeling the crowd’s gossip buzz, Logan raised his hand, ready to toss his phone into the stands.
"Don’t you dare!" Victor roared. Behind him, the Nine-Headed Dragon had already poked out its heads, ready to intercept Logan’s phone.
Seeing Victor’s rage, a cold, hard look flashed across Logan’s face.
"If you or your teammates dare abuse your opponents again, I guarantee that video will be tomorrow’s headline," Logan’s voice rang around the arena.
The trainees who were about to fight all looked up at him, their eyes full of respect.
Even the audience in the stands was shocked by Logan’s words.
So Logan didn’t barena out Victor’s gossip video for personal gain—he did it to protect the other trainees fighting in the internal matches.
"This Logan is such a real man! I’m kind of into him!"
"Compared to Victor, Logan really feels more like a leader!"
"Everyone, hurry and make a group—I want to be the first admin of Logan’s fan club!"
Meanwhile, Victor and his two teammates were furious.
They hadn’t killed anyone, so why limit how they fought?
But since Logan had them by the throat now, they could only swallow it.
"Logan, I’ll beat you myself in the arena!" Victor snorted and stepped down from the arena.
In the matches that followed, Victor’s team still hit their opponents hard, but they stopped using potions to torture people.
This let the trainees, who had been wrapped in fear, finally breathe a huge sigh of relief.
To force out more of Victor’s skills and trump cards, the others still went all out.
Sadly, Blair and Klein seemed to catch on to their plan and took on most of the fights themselves.
The eight spider legs on Blair’s back lifted, sharp like spears, with jagged edges. Just looking at them made people shiver and keep their distance.
Even when seven or eight familiars ganged up on him, Blair still crushed them all with his second familiar, the [Giant Pincer Scorpion].
By contrast, the opponents Logan faced either forfeited, or just moved around with him a bit and then surrendered.
This obvious match-throwing made Victor grit his teeth in anger.
Even Sorenso in the stands couldn’t help but curse, "Shameless! No shame at all!"
The internal matches soon came to an end.
As expected, the two teams in the final were Victor’s team and Logan’s team.
Victor glared at Logan, itching to tear him apart.
"Logan, if you have any last words, say them now." Victor’s voice was full of killing intent.
Logan had no doubt Victor wanted to kill him in the arena.
But he didn’t care. He just smiled at Victor. "Want to fix your hair? Otherwise you’ll look ugly when you’re kneeling in a minute."
"Arrogant!" Victor roared. His body swelled, and in a blink he turned into a five-meter-tall giant, his skin covered in shining golden fur.
"Familiar possession!"
This time, Victor fused again with the Golden Behemoth’s power. His strength and defense shot up.
At the same time, the familiar space behind him opened, and the Nine-Headed Dragon’s nine necks whipped like tentacles, its eyes on Logan full of murderous intent.
In this state, Victor was full of confidence.
He stared hard at Logan, eyes fixed, and told Klein and Blair, "This is between me and him. Don’t interfere."
The two shrugged and stepped back to the edge of the arena.
At the same time, Sawako and Yelena also left the arena to Logan.
Seeing this, Logan clapped lightly. "Now it’s just you and me. Your build mixes offense and defense, with strong control too. It’s a great way to fight."
Victor was a bit stunned by the praise.
Before he could figure it out, Logan casually summoned Lilith.
"Lilith, finish this fast."
At Logan’s order, Lilith’s eyes turned blood-red, and darkness wrapped around her.
"Infernal Lord Form!"
Her bat wings stretched longer, and her aura and pressure surged.
Before Victor could react, Lilith activated [Spiritlight Mark] and [Demon Eye].
With both talents stacked, her skill boost shot up to 250%.
While in this state, a pink-red light flashed in Lilith’s eyes, and a burst of Mental Power skills fired like a machine gun.
"Weaken Will!"
"Dream space!"
"Enslave Mind!"
Hit by Lilith’s Mental Power combo, Victor’s gaze went vacant and dazed.
In a haze, he struggled and roared, swinging his fists in place and smashing the stone tiles under his feet to pieces.
Then a deep, compelling voice sounded in his ear: "Kneel!"
That voice seemed almost magical. Victor sank into a dream, tears welling up, and his knees bent a little.
Klein, standing at the edge of the arena, frowned hard at the sight. "Victor! Wake up!"
When Victor didn’t respond, Klein’s face darkened. If he helped now, it could count as a foul. But if he didn’t, Victor might get killed.
Blair shot Klein a sharp look and shouted, "Don’t be stupid—move!"
Pushed by Blair, Klein hesitated for just a moment, then threw a puff of powder at Victor’s face.
The powder stuck to Victor’s skin and quickly broke the dream state, pulling him back to reality.
As soon as Victor came to, he checked himself for injuries. Seeing no wounds, he glared at Logan, furious. "Logan! You played dirty!"
In the stands, Sorenso broke into a cold sweat for Victor. If not for Klein, Lilith might have killed him in a second.
For Lilith, making someone in a dream state kill themselves is way too easy.
Seeing that, Sorenso fretted for his grandson and muttered, "Why is Logan’s familiar as sneaky as he is? What an annoying guy!"
General Philip watched the arena with a cold look and suddenly mocked, "This is the ’duel’ your grandson talked about? In a one-on-one, he gets controlled and still gets outside help to break it?"
His voice wasn’t loud, but everyone in the stands could hear it.
Even if many found it hard to accept how easily Logan reached the final, they agreed even less with Victor’s move.
It was supposed to be a duel—so why call for help?
For a while, the chatter in the stands almost disrupted the Arena Match.
Sawako and Yelena stepped onto the arena side by side to support Logan, but he refused them on the spot. "No need. I can handle him myself."
Then Logan looked at Lilith and smiled. "Unseal it. It’s time to show them your new form."
At his words, Lilith spread her wings and rose into the air.
Starlight pierced the Blood Cultivation Realm and sank into her, waking the power hidden inside her in an instant.
Two pure, dark flames lit in her eyes, and blue fire surged all around her.

...
In this new form, six pairs of demon wings spread behind her.
The horns on her head shrank with the level-up until they hid in her hair.
Her long demon tail vanished too, replaced by an even stronger aura.
Feeling Lilith’s change, Victor showed seriousness and fear for the first time. "So what if it’s an A-level familiar? Come out, Angel Peggy!"
Another burst of blinding light flooded the whole arena.
By now, all of Victor’s power was on full display.
He fused his body with the Golden Behemoth, entearena familiar possession to boost survivability.
From his familiar space, the Nine-Headed Dragon’s nine heads emerged, giving mid-range control with both offense and defense.
Right in front of Logan, Victor summoned another angel. With that, the battle setup centered on his body was finally complete.
"Peggy, kill her!" Victor raised his hand and pointed at Lilith, his voice full of killing intent.
He couldn’t let a familiar that could control his soul at any time leave the Blood Cultivation Realm alive.
Angel Peggy received the order, pressed her palms together at her chest, and began to pray in silence.
Soon, a giant sword appeared before her. She gripped it and slashed at Lilith.
"Holy Light Judgment!"
"Disappear, filthy creature of darkness!"
Blinding holy light tore through the air, rushing straight for Lilith’s face.
Lilith frowned and lifted her hands. A pitch-black demon blade appeared in her grip.
Then a silver-gray arc ripped through the space before her. The huge crescent-shaped wave shattered Peggy’s Holy Light Judgment—and swallowed the angel herself whole.
