Chapter 69: Are You Sure You Want to Gang Up on Me?

Chapter 69: Chapter 69: Are You Sure You Want to Gang Up on Me?

"How is this possible!"Victor stared at the crescent blade of light that swallowed everything in front of him, completely stunned.

Even though everything was covered by a screen of light, Victor knew very well that his long-hidden angel familiar, Peggy, had been defeated.

The hit was so heavy he couldn’t react for a moment—until the sound of contracts shattering rang out in his soul ocean. Cold sweat broke out on Victor’s back. "Stop!"

But to Victor’s surprise, Lilith’s slash not only swallowed his angel familiar Peggy, it swallowed his voice too.

In the stands, everyone could only see a blinding scene, but couldn’t hear a thing.

When Lilith’s crescent slash finally faded, everyone was shocked to find that there was no trace of the angel Peggy left in the arena—not even a hair.

Some audience members whispered, "I clearly saw a beautiful angel use a skill just now. How did she vanish in a blink? Was that Holy Light Judgment just an illusion?"

General Philip spoke softly, "Not an illusion. That angel familiar was real. They traded one strike, and the angel was blasted to ashes."

Hearing this, the whole crowd was dumbfounded.

How strong is the succubus familiar Logan summoned? It took out an angel in a single move?

"I remember! Back in Twilight City, Logan beat up an angel familiar too. He’s basically an angel killer!"

"So that’s it. Maybe that succubus was a contract Logan raised just to counter angels. Did he have a grudge with them before?"

The murmurs kept drifting into the ears of Victor and his teammates.

Blair and Klein were stunned beyond words and both stepped back half a step without thinking.

"Crack!"

A burst of cracking stone rang out. The two of them almost stepped into thin air and fell off the arena. They yanked back their right feet and barely kept their balance.

At the center of the arena.

Victor clutched his temples in pain, gasping for breath.

Deep in his Soul Sea, the contract mark for the angel Peggy shattered completely.

That meant he had lost an A-level familiar for good—and it was the one he treated as his trump card.

"Logan!"Victor forced the name out through clenched teeth, full of hate. "I want you dead!"

With his roar, the nine dragon heads launched a wild counterattack.

Lilith gripped her demon blade, a pink-red light flashing in her eyes.

"Weaken Will!"

"Mind Lash!"

"Dream Space!"

She fired off several mental power attack skills in a row, but only three of the nine dragon heads were affected.

Seeing this, Lilith sprang back, blocking the heads with her blade as she shouted, "Master! Each of the nine heads has its own soul!"

Logan heard this and frowned.

By common sense, Victor couldn’t have contracts with nine dragon-type familiars. There had to be something strange about this familiar.

But before Logan could figure it out, Victor’s huge golden form was already lunging at him.

Victor was still in familiar possession, looking like a smaller Golden Behemoth—strong and vicious.

Logan snorted, and his body swelled fast.

"Dual-Beast Possession!"

The Titan Giant Ape and the Abyssal Troll appeared behind Logan, then quickly merged into his body.

Right then, Victor lunged up to him.

Logan bent his left knee a little, drew back his right leg, and kicked off hard.

In a flash, Logan shot forward like an ice-blue rocket and slammed into Victor.

"Agh!"

With a sharp cry of pain, Victor curled up like a shrimp as Logan drove him up into the air.

In midair, Victor felt like he’d slammed into a train that was still speeding up. His guts felt like they were about to spill out.

Helpless, he forced himself to endure the pain and ordered the nine dragon heads to rush back and push Logan away.

By the time Victor landed on the arena again, Logan and Lilith were already standing side by side.

Because Logan’s hit was so strong, Victor couldn’t keep his familiar possession anymore, and his body shrank fast.

When he fully returned to normal size, the hate in his eyes grew even stronger as he looked at Logan. "Impossible! Among A-level familiars, the Golden Behemoth is top-tier in power and defense! There’s no way you can crush me that much in power! What did you do just now?"

Logan shrugged and smiled without answering.

To be honest, compared to the Golden Behemoth, the Titan Giant Ape is weaker in defense, and the Abyssal Troll is also behind in power.

But Logan can possess two familiars at once. Add the Titan Giant Ape’s and Abyssal Troll’s power together, and it’s still stronger than the Golden Behemoth’s power.

Seeing Logan refuse to answer, Victor waved behind him. "The duel is over!"

Blair and Klein, who had been standing at the edge, slowly walked to the center of the arena and took their places to Victor’s left and right.

At the same time, vines spread out around the arena again, wrapping the whole place into a giant birdcage.

Seeing this, Logan sighed. "Victor, you learned nothing. Looks like making you record that kneeling video before wasn’t enough."

"Hmph, Logan, you won’t have time to run your mouth much longer!"Blair drew a short blade, lightly licked the edge, and a strange red flashed in his eyes.

Next, Blair’s familiar space opened behind him.

A huge spider crawled out slowly. Behind it stretched endless white webbing, linking together a row of withered-looking monsters.

These creatures—some beasts, some insects—numbered eight in total, each giving off an Elite 5 stars aura.

Logan looked up and quickly read the spider’s info:

...

"So it’s a puppet-controlling familiar? This is your ace?"Logan said, looking unconcerned.

Blair frowned slightly at Logan’s attitude.

He knew Logan was strong, but didn’t expect him to be this arrogant. "What? Nine Elite 5-star familiars for you, and you’re still not satisfied?"

As he spoke, Blair snapped his fingers. Eight spider-like spikes sprang from his back as he entered familiar possession. "Klein, your turn!"

Beside him, Klein also opened his familiar space. Huge mummies crawled out one after another, giving off a cold, eerie vibe.

Logan looked over and saw that Klein’s familiar space was still open. Mummies kept crawling out like they were free—eighteen in a row.

[Species: Mummy Warrior (Experimental Undead)]

Staring at the swarming monster army, Logan’s lips curled up again. "You sure you want to gang up on me?"

Hearing that, Victor showed a savage grin. "What? Scared? I’ll make you taste every kind of pain—right in your despair!"

The situation on the arena changed in a blink.

The two who were fighting one-on-one just moments ago had completely switched tactics.

This fired up the crowd in the stands. Everyone clenched their fists, waiting to see what would happen next.

Sorenso also gripped the armrest tight, his face twisted and feral. "Losing to the Tattalia family’s genius should be Logan’s honor, and he dares fight back? He deserves to die!"

City Lord Garen of Saint Heart City sat to the side. When he heard this, he just rolled his eyes and ignored the old man Sorenso.

But General Philip didn’t let it slide. He slapped Sorenso across the face. "Which federal law says an arena match is one-sided? I’m slapping you right now—dare to kill me?"

Caught off guard, Sorenso covered his face and glared at General Philip with bloodshot eyes, too angry to say a word.

If it were anyone else, he would’ve hit back already.

But this was General Philip. Sorenso didn’t dare.

Philip was over a hundred. If he went all out and ran wild in the Tattalia family’s territory, killing as he pleased, Sorenso couldn’t do a thing.

In the end, Sorenso just stomped hard and turned his head away, refusing to look at General Philip.

On the other side.

Natalia sat beside Sophia and Lucia, eyes full of warmth as she watched Logan in the arena. "This kid’s progress is way beyond what I expected. Thank you, Sophia."

With that, Natalia tossed Sophia a package.

Sophia opened it. It was stuffed full of spatial fragments.

She put the package away and stared at Natalia in surprise. "Where did you rob so many spatial fragments from?"

"Of course, from the Black Church’s turf."Natalia replied calmly.

"You robbed the Black Church again? Didn’t you just make peace with them?"Lucia frowned. "Was it for Logan?"

Hearing that, Natalia took a sip of red wine, leaned back on the sofa, and answered with a lazy smile, "For [Supernova]."
