Chapter 993 He Is Actually a Very Clean Boy

"Let me take you home. You shouldn't go on like this," Yun Bujun said, looking at her frail state. He recalled her mentioning two major surgeries and her poor health, which made him particularly worried.

Mian Mian shook her head. "I have a long-distance run this afternoon. I can't leave. If I do... my class will lose points."

"You're running the long-distance? Weren't you not on the list?" Yun Bujun asked, looking at her in surprise.

Mian Mian glanced at him. "How did you know I wasn't on the list?"

"Uh... didn't you tell me?" Yun Bujun scratched his head awkwardly.

Mian Mian thought for a moment. She couldn't remember if she had told him. But she felt something was off. She said, "I'm running for my deskmate. She... she's not feeling well, so she can't run."

"Are all the people in your class dead!" Yun Bujun really wanted to curse.

"Everyone has an event. Except for those who are particularly unwell, everyone participated. I was just mistakenly left off the report," Mian Mian explained.

"But that's this afternoon too, isn't it? It's only nine in the morning. If you don't want to go home, you can come to my place and sleep for a while." Yun Bujun pulled her up.

"Is it convenient?" Mian Mian hesitated, feeling it wasn't quite right to go to his place like this.

"I live alone. If you don't mind, you can come. Or are you afraid I'll bully you?" Yun Bujun looked at her with a smile.

Mian Mian immediately shook her head. That wasn't what she was thinking at all!

"Then let's go."

As Yun Bujun pulled her, Mian Mian stumbled and almost fell. He quickly asked, "What's wrong?"

"My legs... my legs are still weak and numb," Mian Mian said, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Yun Bujun looked at her wronged, small appearance, finding it incredibly cute. He directly crouched down in front of her and said, "Come on, I'll carry you."

"Uh... won't people see?" Mian Mian nervously looked around.

"Don't worry, there's no one. Not even a ghost. Everyone's having fun on the field. Hurry up and get on." Yun Bujun moved closer behind her.

Seeing this, Mian Mian confidently climbed onto his back. With a strong push, Yun Bujun lifted her and left the warehouse with swift strides.

They still climbed over the wall to get out. Although it wasn't Mian Mian's first time climbing a wall, she still found it quite thrilling. Once outside, Yun Bujun carried her towards home.

His house was very close to the school, in a block of alleyways two streets away. Yun Bujun walked fast, and they arrived in less than ten minutes. He then put Mian Mian down on the bed.

Mian Mian began to carefully examine the room. The renovation was old, but it showed taste, with many antique items. The bed and cabinet were old but not damaged, well-preserved.

"You sleep for a while. I'll go make some congee for you to eat when you wake up," Yun Bujun said, pulling the quilt over and squatting down to take off her shoes.

"Okay," Mian Mian replied, lying down and pulling the quilt over herself.

Seeing her settled, Yun Bujun went to the kitchen.

Lying on the bed, Mian Mian smelled a familiar scent – Yun Bujun's scent. He didn't wear perfume, but he always had a scent of soap, very clean, comforting like sunshine.

His pillow and quilt also carried this scent.

It was clear that he was a very clean young man.

Mian Mian thought she wouldn't be able to sleep, but to her surprise, smelling the scent of a young boy, she quickly fell asleep.
