Gu Yunting, disregarding everyone's pleas, insisted on taking Ye Wan back after her IV drip finished.
On the way, Ye Wan gazed out the window in silence. Gu Yunting, with his eyes closed, also rested. They returned to the Gu residence without exchanging a word.
Upon their return, Ye Wan went to her room. After closing the door, she called Fu Huaishen to ask about his condition.

Sun Ma knocked and entered, looking troubled. "Ye Wan, could you ask the young master to come down for dinner? He's chased away everyone who tried to call him and refuses to eat."
"Sun Ma, I'm very tired. I just want to sleep right now." Ye Wan replied indifferently.
Seeing how exhausted she appeared, Sun Ma sighed helplessly. "Then wait for me a moment. I'll fetch you a bowl of porridge. Have it before you sleep."
Ye Wan didn't refuse. With her brother's surgery approaching, she needed to recover her strength quickly to be ready. After a bowl of porridge, Ye Wan washed up briefly and returned to bed. She took out ointment and carefully applied it to the whip marks on her body.

Gu Yunting seemed not to hear. He took a tube of ointment and, lifting her back, began applying medicine to the whip marks on her back.
Ye Wan took a deep breath, trying to suppress her anger, and lowered her head to continue applying ointment to the whip marks on her legs.
Once all the medication was applied, Ye Wan prepared to lie down. Gu Yunting stopped her and handed her a set of silk pajamas. "Wear these."
"No need, this is fine." Ye Wan was wearing a cotton pajama set that she had worn for a long time; it was already pilling in places.
"Do you want me to change you?" Gu Yunting frowned, looking at her.
