Uncle Zhang

Chapter 182 - 0182: Please Forgive Me_1

Chapter 182: Chapter 0182: Please Forgive Me_1

"You were afraid of hurting him, so you threw him on the floor instead?" Liu Ruolan was furious. "Don’t you realize that if he hadn’t saved you, you’d be a corpse right now?"

"Sis, don’t be mad. I saw my blood had stained the bed, and it was too dirty, so I didn’t want him lying on it," Liu Ruomei said, hopping off the bed. "I’ll change the sheets right now and let him lie on my bed."

Liu Ruolan was at a loss for words, but she still shot Liu Ruomei a fierce glare.

The two sisters quickly changed the sheets, after which Liu Ruomei picked up Zhang Bin and laid him down on the bed.

Zhang Bin was still fuming, itching to give her a good spanking, but he simply didn’t have the energy and could only endure it.

"What on earth happened? How could you suffer a cultivation deviation?" Liu Ruolan asked, her face full of lingering fear. "And how could I possibly have heard you talking to me?"

"Today, while I was trying to unblock my meridians, I suddenly noticed a rat had entered my room and even scurried up to my feet. You know how terrified I am of rats, so I was completely startled. My True Qi went astray, and I suffered a cultivation deviation. I was paralyzed and about to pass out, with blood flowing from my mouth. All I could do was call out to you for help. Since we’re twin sisters, I believed you could hear my voice," Liu Ruomei explained.

"That’s incredible. I was still working overtime at the office, so how could I have heard your call for help? Is this the telepathic link between twin sisters?" Liu Ruolan was still in a state of shock.

Zhang Bin, however, was secretly terrified. If he hadn’t taught Liu Ruomei the Pure Heart Mystique, her Special Ability wouldn’t have improved. When she suffered her cultivation deviation today, she wouldn’t have been able to use her Special Ability to contact Liu Ruolan. By the time Liu Ruolan returned, Liu Ruomei would have truly become a corpse. After all, he hadn’t asked Tutu to monitor Liu Ruomei around the clock, so not even Tutu knew about her deviation.

He couldn’t help but say angrily, "How many times have I told you? When you cultivate, especially when you’re unblocking your meridians, you must find the safest possible place. You were cultivating in the villa without a protector, and you didn’t even close the window properly, allowing a rat to get in. You were practically asking for death."

"Brother-in-law, I was wrong. Please forgive me."

Liu Ruomei suddenly became very docile and leaned in to peck Zhang Bin’s cheek.

Zhang Bin was speechless.

Liu Ruolan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Her younger sister was simply lawless and in desperate need of discipline.

"You rat! Get out here! See how I’m going to deal with you!"

Liu Ruomei began chasing the rat around the room.

The rat was surprisingly bold, having not run away until now. It had been hiding under the wardrobe. Startled, it darted out from its hiding spot and shot under the bed.

BANG!

Liu Ruomei threw Zhang Bin off the bed again, then frantically flipped up the bed frame and shook it violently.

Once again, Zhang Bin was thrown to the floor, seeing stars. A towering rage ignited within him. This sister-in-law of his was too audacious! If he didn’t teach her a lesson, she’d be walking all over him in the future!

With Liu Ruolan’s help, he sat up cross-legged and began to diligently practice the Pure Heart Mystique to recover his spiritual power. One couldn’t suffer a cultivation deviation from practicing the Pure Heart Mystique, as it was purely a mental exercise and didn’t involve the circulation of True Qi.

Meanwhile, Liu Ruolan stood guard in front of Zhang Bin. She was preventing the rat from touching him, but more importantly, she was shielding him from Liu Ruomei bumping into him.

"Where do you think you’re going? Ah...!"

Liu Ruomei continued her angry pursuit of the rat, letting out terrified shrieks from time to time. Indeed, the mere sight of the rat made her scream. She didn’t dare to pounce on it, instead using a high-heeled shoe as a projectile, flinging it in the rat’s direction. Of course, this was no way to hit it.

By the time Zhang Bin had practiced the Pure Heart Mystique for half an hour and recovered thirty percent of his spiritual power, Liu Ruomei still hadn’t managed to harm a single hair on the rat.

The rat was still darting frantically around the room, but since Liu Ruomei had shut the window, it couldn’t escape. It was forced to play a game of hide-and-seek with her. All the while, Liu Ruomei’s terrified screams nearly burst Zhang Bin’s eardrums. Liu Ruolan had long since covered her ears, a helpless look on her face.

"Shut up!" Zhang Bin roared, leaping furiously to his feet.

Just then, the rat shot out from under the bed, and Liu Ruomei instinctively let out another bloodcurdling scream, "Ahhh...!"

Zhang Bin gave up. He had no idea how to handle a woman like her.

A Pine Needle suddenly appeared in his hand, and he flicked his wrist.

WHOOSH!

The sound was piercing as the Pine Needle transformed into a streak of green lightning, instantly piercing the rat’s head. The rat let out a final squeak and fell to the floor, motionless.

"Ahhh...!"

Even with the rat dead, Liu Ruomei continued to scream in terror. Clearly, her fear of rats was pathological.

Liu Ruolan, on the other hand, was surprisingly unafraid. She simply watched from the side, a bemused expression on her face.

Zhang Bin desperately wanted to smash the dead rat in Liu Ruomei’s face to vent his frustration, but he held back, worried he might literally scare her to death. He walked over, opened the window, grabbed the rat by its tail, and flung it far out into the park.

He said irritably, "Look closely. I killed the rat and threw it out. Can you please stop screaming now?"

Liu Ruomei, who was still screaming, finally quieted down. She said, still shaken, "Later, you need to go down, find the rat’s body, and throw it in a trash can. Don’t let it scare any passersby."

"Do you think everyone is as afraid of rats as you are?" Zhang Bin retorted. He then turned, pulled Liu Ruolan into his arms, and said gently, "Sister Lan, you should go get some rest. I need to have a serious talk with Sister Mei about cultivation precautions and teach her some Secret Techniques."

"Okay. So, will you be sleeping in my room later? My ’relative’ hasn’t left yet," Liu Ruolan asked shyly.

She had gotten her period the day before, and it hadn’t ended yet. She was simply reminding Zhang Bin to spare him any awkwardness later on.

"I’ll probably head back home later," Zhang Bin said softly, understanding her implication.

As soon as Liu Ruolan left, Zhang Bin locked the door from the inside and advanced on Liu Ruomei. His face was filled with murderous intent and a wicked grin, as if he was about to do something terrible.

"What are you trying to do?" Liu Ruomei panicked, backing away steadily.

"What do you think?" Zhang Bin sneered, closing the distance step by step.

Soon, she had nowhere left to retreat. She tripped and fell back onto the bed, crying out in alarm, "Don’t you dare mess with me!"

But Zhang Bin was in no mood to listen. Like a hungry Fierce Tiger that had spotted its delicious prey, he pounced with a brutal aura.
