Chapter 183: Chapter 0183 Untitled_1

With a ferocious aura, Zhang Bin pounced onto the bed, flipped Liu Ruomei over, and started spanking her hard.

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

Fuming with rage, he demanded, "Do you dare throw me off the bed again? Do you?"

"I do! I dare you!" Liu Ruomei, mad with anger, screamed back, showing no sign of weakness.

"So, you’re rebelling, are you?" Frustrated and infuriated, Zhang Bin slapped her even harder.

But as he went on, his slaps involuntarily grew lighter.

Liu Ruomei, however, finally erupted. With a sudden burst of strength, she broke free and flipped him over in one motion. To keep him from turning the tables again, she pinned him down, clinging to him like an octopus.

A moment later, they both sensed a change in the atmosphere. Slowly, they pulled each other into a tight embrace.

Finally, Liu Ruomei snapped back to her senses. She pushed away from him, raised her hand, and viciously slapped herself across the face.

SLAP!

The sound was crisp. Five red finger marks immediately bloomed on her cheek.

"What are you doing?" Zhang Bin jumped up, his voice filled with concern.

"I’m punishing this wicked woman," Liu Ruomei said, raising her hand to strike herself again.

But Zhang Bin caught her hand. "Alright, alright," he said with a wry expression. "It wasn’t you seducing me just now; I was bullying you. Stop hitting yourself."

"Brother-in-law, thank you for saving me... I was being so immature," Liu Ruomei said, turning her head to secretly wipe the tears from her face.

"Let me heal that for you," Zhang Bin said. He pulled her into his embrace, placed a hand on her cheek, and released his Longevity Qi to treat the injury.

At that moment, Liu Ruomei became completely docile. She nestled in his arms without moving, her beautiful eyes closed.

A closer look would have revealed tears still streaming down her lovely face, wetting his large hand.

Her tears soon stopped, however, and she once again looked like her usual brazen, fierce self.

The moment Zhang Bin had nearly finished healing her, she shoved him so hard he stumbled back. "If you ever dare do that again," she said threateningly, "I won’t be so nice to you."

Zhang Bin seemed to see through her tough exterior, so he didn’t get angry. Instead, he asked about her cultivation in detail, answered some of her questions, and even taught her a secret technique on how to use Gathering Qi Pills and Spiritual Water with the Pure Heart Mystique to rapidly accumulate True Qi.

Finally, pretending to take them from his backpack, he produced a large bottle of Spiritual Water and a big bag of Gathering Qi Pills.

"Brother-in-law, how does your sect have so much Jade Liquid?" Liu Ruomei exclaimed, her face a mixture of surprise and delight. She had already gotten several bottles of Jade Liquid from him before; they were treasures of inestimable value.

"That’s a sect secret, not something for you to know," Zhang Bin said with a stern expression.

"Oh, come on, tell me!" Liu Ruomei cooed, hugging his arm and shaking it playfully.

"The Taiqing Sect is a Cultivation Sect. Naturally, we have secret techniques to obtain Jade Liquid," Zhang Bin whispered. "You must keep this secret. Don’t let anyone find out."

"Oh my god, a Cultivation Sect that has a continuous supply of Jade Liquid?" A brilliant light shone in Liu Ruomei’s eyes, her excitement palpable. She patted her chest and promised, "Don’t worry, I absolutely won’t tell anyone. And really, you shouldn’t worry too much. Your sect is so powerful that a young disciple like you can kill a top expert at the Liquid Transformation Late Stage. No one would dare try to steal your treasures."

"Still, it’s better to be careful," Zhang Bin said gravely. "Sister Mei, now that you’ve learned our Taiqing Sect’s cultivation method, you can be considered a disciple. You must cultivate diligently to grow stronger quickly, but you must be even more careful about your safety. When you unblock your meridians, you must do it in a secret chamber or have me act as your protector. Understand?"

"I’m a Taiqing Sect disciple too?" Liu Ruomei jumped up in surprise. "You mean I’m on the path of cultivation now? I can eventually reach the Golden Core Path?"

"Yes," Zhang Bin said solemnly. "From now on, we will walk the long path of seeking the Dao together. We will brave every storm and share a single fate, in life and in death."

"Then... what about my sister?" Liu Ruomei’s voice trembled slightly.

"In the future, I’ll find a way to help your sister become a cultivator. Then, we can be together forever, an enviable pair of immortal companions, seeking the Dao and attaining immortality," Zhang Bin said.

A beautiful blush spread across Liu Ruomei’s face, and her eyes gleamed. But just as quickly, the light in them dimmed. She shoved Zhang Bin toward the door. "Get out!" she said fiercely. "I need to sleep."
