Chapter 198: Chapter 0198: Kicked in the Head by a Donkey_1
"Hahaha... Someone’s coming to save you? Are you dreaming? Who dares to stick their nose in my business?" the man with the hook nose sneered, bursting into laughter. "Come with us immediately, or I’ll have to kill the man and take the woman."
"Just stall for a bit longer. I’ve already sent a text to my brother-in-law. He’ll be here soon," Liu Ruomei whispered in Zhang Bin’s ear.
Stall my ass. I AM your brother-in-law. How could he possibly show up?
Zhang Bin inwardly lamented but continued angrily as per his plan, "I refuse to believe that evildoers can just run amok without being punished. I refuse to believe there are no Aotumans in this world."
"I’ll show you what an Aotuman is," the hook-nosed youth said as he suddenly drew his Longsword and viciously stabbed at Zhang Bin’s arm.
But just at that moment, a crisp sound rang out.
SMACK!
The hook-nosed youth was sent flying, crashing hard to the ground with a faint palm print on his face.
Liu Ruomei, the youth, and the burly man were all dumbfounded, their faces etched with disbelief.
What was going on? No one appeared, yet he was slapped?
"Thank you, Senior, for intervening. This junior is eternally grateful," Zhang Bin said with a mixture of surprise and gratitude, bowing respectfully toward the Void.
Could it be that some expert really made a move? Liu Ruomei and the burly man both wondered in astonishment.
"Which bastard dares to oppose my Qingyun Sect?" the hook-nosed youth shouted as he rose to his feet. A formidable aura and oppressive force emanated from him, and his Sword blazed with two feet of Sword Qi.
His gaze swept around as he stepped toward Zhang Bin, each step leaving a deep footprint in the ground.
But after just two steps, he let out a pitiful scream.
He felt as if an invisible fist had materialized out of nowhere and brutally struck him in the eye. Luckily, he was on guard. He closed his eyes in time and rolled quickly to the ground, which saved his eye from being ruptured.
Immediately after, something even stranger occurred. It was as if an invisible man had arrived and was now relentlessly attacking the hook-nosed youth.
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! The sound of fists hitting flesh rained down incessantly, striking the hook-nosed youth’s face, legs, groin, eyes, ears, nose, and other vital areas.
He almost got his balls crushed. Fortunately, the bastard was quick-witted enough to cover his crotch with both hands, otherwise he would have certainly become a modern-day eunuch.
"Ahhh! Stop! Stop hitting me! Mercy, please, have mercy!" the hook-nosed youth let out an utterly miserable cry.
In truth, he was quite strong, having already opened fourteen meridians, but he was defenseless against this formless, invisible assault. Although the opponent’s attacks weren’t overwhelmingly powerful, they precisely targeted his vital spots, and he simply couldn’t withstand them.
I can’t believe my Telekinetic Ability is this powerful! Zhang Bin himself was secretly shocked. I estimate that not even Rushing Pulse Realm Masters could withstand it; perhaps only Qi Sea Realm Masters could defend themselves. After all, Qi Sea Realm Masters can cover their bodies in a dense layer of True Qi, giving them strong Defensive Power. It seems my Special Ability has great potential.
He didn’t pause, continuing to use his ability to attack the opponent until the hook-nosed youth was beaten completely unconscious. Only then did he stop. But he didn’t spare the burly man, who was frozen in fear. Using his ability, he delivered several harsh slaps to the man’s cheeks, knocking him to the ground as several bloody teeth flew from his mouth.
"Thank you, Senior," Zhang Bin feigned gratitude once more.
But to his surprise, Liu Ruomei’s face was ashen. She stormed down the mountain without giving him so much as a word.
"Ruomei, what’s wrong?" Zhang Bin felt a sense of unease and hurried after her.
However, Liu Ruomei continued to walk briskly downhill without even a glance at Zhang Bin, as if he didn’t exist.
What’s going on? Did I slip up somewhere? I don’t think so. I handled that perfectly.
Zhang Bin muttered to himself, pretending to be out of breath as he quickly chased after her. By the time he reached the bottom of the mountain, Liu Ruomei was already in her car and about to drive off. "Ruomei," he said, exasperated, "tell me, what did I do wrong to make you so angry?"
"You overacted," Liu Ruomei said with a cold sneer, rolling down the window. "You hired those six men, didn’t you? A nice trick. I can’t believe I fell for it."
"How could I have hired them?" Zhang Bin’s eyes widened, completely bewildered by what she was thinking. Has her head been kicked by a donkey?
"Those six men beat you so brutally, yet you don’t have a single scratch. It’s obvious you were all acting. I wasn’t suspicious at first, but when that youth appeared, I sensed something was wrong. The plan was for that bastard to haul us both away and lock us up together. Then you could take advantage of me, maybe even do something that can’t be undone..."
"’Do something that can’t be undone?’ My ass!" Zhang Bin laughed in exasperation. "Then what about what happened next? Did you call in an expert to teach that bastard a lesson so my ’plan’ couldn’t succeed?"
"Afterward, you heard me say I had notified my brother-in-law to come rescue us, and you got scared he would arrive at any moment and expose your scheme. You had no choice but to change your plan immediately. You conjured up an ’expert’ out of thin air to attack the youth and the big man, making them look miserable, but it was all just part of the act. Do you think I’m a fool? I never want to see you again. Goodbye," Liu Ruomei finished furiously. She stomped on the accelerator, and the Ferrari shot out like a Fierce Tiger, disappearing at the end of the road in the blink of an eye.
What the hell? She just abandoned me?
Zhang Bin was so angry he almost spat blood as a myriad of curses raced through his mind.
I was planning on buying a house to live with my sister-in-law, but who knew it would all be for nothing? A complete misunderstanding.
What should I do?
Zhang Bin plopped down on the grass, gritting his teeth in frustration at Liu Ruomei. This sister-in-law was truly a piece of work, tormenting him to no end.
His response had been quite clever. He hadn’t revealed any of his own strength or abilities and had successfully resolved the crisis with the hook-nosed youth.
But he couldn’t account for Liu Ruomei’s bizarre imagination. She loved to jump to conclusions and had immediately decided that Chen Junheng had orchestrated the entire thing, even imagining a scenario where he would force himself on her. No wonder she was a police officer.
Sigh... It seems her real brother-in-law will have to step in and save the day.
Zhang Bin sighed, found a secluded spot to change back into his own clothes and equipment, and then took out his phone to call Liu Ruomei.
