Chapter 5: Chapter 5: She Is Your Young Madam
"Mm."
Serena Yeats asked weakly, "But I still have to go to school!"
Elias Lancaster said, "I’ll be responsible for taking you to and from school."
Serena was stunned for a moment, did he mean... he would drive her himself?
Could she say no?
Serena tried to speak in a negotiable tone, "It’s more convenient for me to live at school."
Elias had an uncompromising attitude, "This is not up for discussion. Regardless of your final decision, it’s about your safety."
Hmph! What a domineering old man!
Serena complained in her heart.
Driving back and forth every day is such a hassle, and who knows how much it’ll cost in fuel. If she really gives birth, he’d have to raise two kids!
She wondered if he could afford it, after all, raising children is expensive, especially two.
"Then can I sleep at your place in the evening? And stay at the school dorm during midday classes, since it’s too troublesome to go back and forth in the afternoon when I have classes."
"Alright!"
So that’s it.
Serena moved into Elias’s home that day. Once there, she realized it was only a ten-minute distance from the school, very close.
Since she hadn’t decided whether to keep the two children yet, she only brought a couple of basic change of clothes to Elias’s place.
No one was in the dorm today; they had all gone out to play, so no one saw Serena being picked up.
On the way back to Elias’s home, Serena was racking her brain on how to explain to her counselor that she was staying out overnight.
She agonized over it for a long time and still didn’t know the best way to explain.
In the end, she received approval for her off-campus accommodation application from the counselor.
Serena cautiously glanced at the man driving beside her, filled with disbelief.
Did he just make a call and solve it all?
She didn’t expect that with just one call, the man resolved everything! She couldn’t help but have some doubts about this man’s identity.
Theodore Lynch always called him Master Lancaster, and even people in the hospital were very respectful to him.
Could he be some big shot?
With this thought, Serena took out her phone and opened a browser to search for Elias Lancaster’s name.
Theodore Lynch said his name is Elias Lancaster, and there were many search results.
She casually clicked on one, and what she saw scared her to the point of wanting to cry.
Aethelgard’s Crown Prince, the eldest son of The Lancaster Family, CEO of The Lancaster Corporation, the famous Master Lancaster...
These titles alone weren’t simple at all.
Serena swallowed nervously, turned off her phone, and looked at the man beside her, his exquisite profile.
She thought she had managed to sneak a peek without being noticed.
In reality, Elias had long noticed her little actions.
Just like a frightened little kitten.
The understated luxury car drove into the villa district and stopped in front of the villa’s main gate.
Serena had heard from classmates that this was a place she couldn’t afford even if she worked several lifetimes.
Among her classmates, it seemed none lived here either.
It’s said that wanting to buy here requires not just money but also power.
How rich and powerful must Elias be to live here?
Serena wondered in her heart.
The villa was too large!
Before Serena could process things, Elias helped her unbuckle the seatbelt.
Only then did she get out of the car.
Upon entering, servants immediately approached; Serena nervously changed her shoes and walked in slowly.
As she walked, she grew more and more astonished.
She cautiously followed behind Elias, afraid to step on tiles she shouldn’t.
Elias sat on the sofa and looked at the little woman, seeing the tension on her face.
He took her hand, "Serena, sit here."
Serena gently sat on the sofa.
She looked around, everything here seemed incredibly valuable.
She couldn’t help but feel inferior, that her status was unfitting for this place.
Elias sensed her emotions, aware of her inner anxiety and unease, he scooped her up in a princess carry and sat her properly on the sofa.
Before Serena could react, she was seated, and Elias was calmly beside her.
She looked at the man next to her, opened her mouth but said nothing.
At that moment, Nanny Livingston came over with a group of servants, bringing all the dishes to the table.
Then, Nanny Livingston smiled and said, "Young Master is back. Who is this young lady?"
"She is your Young Madam," Elias said, curling his lips.
Nanny Livingston nodded, glanced at everyone, and they all greeted in unison, "Hello, Young Madam!"
Serena was startled and quickly waved her hands, "No, I’m not."
Elias looked at her, "Serena, you are."
He turned to the others, "From now on, her words are my words."
"Yes."
Once the servants recognized her, Nanny Livingston directed them to their respective tasks.
Nanny Livingston approached, "Young Master, would you like to dine now?"
"Mm." Elias said, "Bring in two nutritionists to plan a pregnancy diet for the Young Madam."
Nanny Livingston looked at Serena incredulously, then happily replied, "Yes! I’ll find them right away, the Young Madam is too thin, she needs to eat more."
Her latter words were directed at Serena.
Serena felt overwhelmed by the sudden change, unsure of what to do.
The lunch was lavish, and Serena ate her fill; she’d never had such delicious food.
After lunch, Serena didn’t know what she should do, with people cleaning the table and washing dishes, she felt there was nothing she could help with.
If she were at home, she would handle all the household tasks. If she didn’t do them, she’d face verbal abuse and beatings.
At home, she felt she had no right to exist.
Elias called Nanny Livingston over, "Take the Young Madam to rest."
"Alright." Nanny Livingston said gently, "Young Madam, please follow me."
Elias stroked her head, softly saying, "Get some rest, you’ll slowly get used to it."
She softly acknowledged, following Nanny Livingston upstairs to a room.
Nanny Livingston opened the door and walked in, "Young Madam, this will be your room from now on. If there’s anything you need, just tell me and I’ll have it arranged."
Serena glanced at the room, her first thought was, ’It’s so big!’
She was quite satisfied, feeling like she was dreaming.
Could she really live here?
Serena politely smiled at Nanny Livingston. "This is great, I love it. Thank you, Nanny Livingston!"
Nanny Livingston smiled back, "If you want to thank someone, thank the Young Master. It was his instruction."
Serena lowered her head and mumbled in acknowledgment.
"Young Madam, rest well first. I won’t disturb you any further. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to call me or the staff."
"Okay!"
After Nanny Livingston left, Serena thoroughly inspected every corner of the room.
In no time, she fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Elias, occupied with work, was approached by Nanny Livingston who said his mother had arrived.
