Screeeeech—!!
A harsh screech rang out as sparks flew from the Titan Giant Ape’s chest.
Lin Fan felt a jolt in his arm—his grip on the blade trembled. The edge of his razor-sharp long blade had struck the ape’s chest, but it couldn’t go any deeper.
“ROAR!!!”
The Titan Giant Ape was startled. It quickly pulled its arm back and swung fiercely at Lin Fan.
Seeing this, Lin Fan spun the blade into a flourish and retreated swiftly.
His expression turned cautious, eyes narrowing slightly as he stared at the beast.
After all, this was a 200,000-year-level soul beast. Compared to the average 100,000-year one, the power difference was immense.
One could say the Titan Giant Ape could walk unchallenged across the Star Dou Great Forest—a true apex predator.
Only Title Douluo above Rank 95 might stand a chance against it. The average Title Douluo would flee without hesitation upon encountering this beast.
The Titan Giant Ape clearly sensed the danger just now. It looked down at its chest with a hint of apprehension in its eyes.
It had felt that stabbing pain—if not for its magma armor activating just in time, Lin Fan’s blade would have pierced through its chest, leaving it either critically wounded… or dead.
Furious, the Titan Giant Ape let out a primal roar, and its deep brown magma armor surged to cover its entire body. Even its head was now encased beneath a thick, helmet-like plate.
Its massive copper bell–like eyes blazed with bloodlust as it glared at Lin Fan, full of confidence and provocation.
“Human! I admit you’re strong… but I am no longer the same Titan Giant Ape from back then!”
It roared and charged forward, each step cracking the ground beneath it. Its entire presence exuded unstoppable force.
Lin Fan only smiled. Behind him, his soul rings rose one by one.
“I thought I wouldn't need to use this… Looks like I underestimated you.”
He raised his hand—and the seventh soul ring lit up!
“Martial Soul True Form—Dominion Form!”
A dark, starless void unfolded behind Lin Fan, stretching into the distance like the depths of space itself.
From that abyss, a pair of enormous compound eyes slowly opened—glimmering faintly with ancient wisdom and abyssal cruelty.
Anyone who looked into them would feel as though they were sinking into an endless chasm.
These eyes… could see through the passage of time itself. Their gaze was both ancient and all-seeing.
The Titan Giant Ape trembled. Its massive charge faltered for a heartbeat.
From the darkness, a massive, grotesque insectoid figure slowly emerged—its form wreathed in cold, starlike specks of light, as if the very cosmos revolved around it.
This was no ordinary creature.
It exuded a Titanic presence, and an aura of bloodshed and slaughter that spanned eras.
“Slaughter…
Brutality…”
“It is a witness to the ages…”
These thoughts surfaced uncontrollably in the Titan Giant Ape’s mind. For the first time in its life, it felt… fear. A flicker of retreat sparked in its heart.
No!
The Titan Giant Ape shook its head violently, trying to banish the fear clawing at its spirit.
“What kind of martial soul is this…?!”
Even just looking at it made the Titan Giant Ape shudder involuntarily. And within the scarlet eyes of that towering insect behind Lin Fan, it saw something horrifying—
Greed.
Cruelty.
Hunger.
It was like… it was the prey now—and that thing behind Lin Fan, the true apex predator.
“Impossible!
How can a martial soul have such influence over me?!”
Lin Fan slowly closed his eyes. His black Zerg armor receded slightly, merging entirely with the projection of his martial soul.
At the same time, countless black lines appeared across his skin, crawling and writhing like parasitic veins. They stained his body with a faint inky luster.
And yet—his aura began to soar.
At that moment, Lin Fan’s strength was approaching the level of a Title Douluo.
The Titan Giant Ape steadied its breathing. Bloodthirst returned to its gaze, and with a roar, it lunged at Lin Fan once more.
“Even a Title Douluo wouldn’t scare me—so what if you’re close? You’re still not one!”
Without the strange swarm of alien creatures from earlier, the Titan Giant Ape’s confidence surged. It charged recklessly, roaring madly.
“Hmph. Stubborn beast.”
Lin Fan’s eyes flashed scarlet as his sixth soul ring lit up.
“Dominion Amplification—Attack Boost!”
“Dominion Amplification—Defense Boost!”
Two red soul techniques activated simultaneously—both from 100,000-year-old soul rings. At the same time, two blood-red rings of light—one black, one crimson—flashed beneath his feet.
Lin Fan’s aura surged again!
WUMMMM—!
His fifth soul ring shone.
“Feel Pain!”
“Rend!!”
The dark longblade in his hands became enveloped in black, soul-powered energy—dim and cold, like it could devour all light.
Both hands on the hilt, Lin Fan raised the blade high above his head and slashed downward!
The Titan Giant Ape roared and launched a crushing punch to intercept.
CLASH—!!
Splat!
Lin Fan’s blade sliced smoothly through the Titan Giant Ape’s massive fists. A shockwave passed through the beast—and the ground quaked.
A severed, bloodied fist thudded onto the forest floor.
The Titan Giant Ape stared blankly at its dismembered arm.
Frozen in terror and disbelief… it didn’t even cry out in pain.
“ROAAAAARRR!!!
NO!!
IMPOSSIBLE! I’LL KILL YOU!!”
Its eyes went bloodshot. Its roar thundered across the forest like a storm of rage.
BOOM!
A ring of deep brown energy erupted from its body, covering everything within several hundred meters.
An overwhelming pressure crashed down on Lin Fan—it was as if gravity itself had turned against him.
“Heh… interesting.”
Lin Fan chuckled softly, his movements noticeably slowed as the pressure weighed him down.
This was the Gravity Domain—the Titan Giant Ape’s innate domain ability.
Within it, enemies would feel crushing weight pressing down on their bodies, weakening attacks and restricting movement.
But to Lin Fan?
It only felt like a mild hindrance.
His body had undergone three Zerg-based evolutions. Physically, he was already comparable to a ten-thousand-year soul beast—or more.
And with the protection of his martial soul… his raw physical strength rivaled that of a 100,000-year soul beast.
“If that’s all you’ve got…
Then I’ll be taking your soul bone.”
Scarlet light flashed in Lin Fan’s eyes. In the blink of an eye—his figure vanished!
“What?!”
The Titan Giant Ape’s heart clenched. It spun around wildly, searching for Lin Fan’s presence.
SLASH!
A jolt of pain tore through its back—it roared and swung blindly behind it.
But hit nothing.
SLICE!
Another wave of searing pain tore through its leg—but there was nothing there.
Lin Fan had completely disappeared.
And yet—he struck again and again, from the shadows, like a phantom of death.
Each slash brought more agony. Each cut, more fear.
The Titan Giant Ape, the forest’s strongest beast—was now bleeding from unseen wounds…
…as the Zerg Overlord hunted it down.
