Chapter 213: Fish Men?

Chapter 213: Fish Men?

"Seriously, what is wrong with the ocean?! Why does it want to attack us at all times? AND WHY IS IT ALWAYS STORMING!?" Kyana was losing it at this point. She hated being on the water, and she hated the sea monsters as well.

She tried to talk with water spirits, but they got scared when they realized that they were in the open ocean and went away.

"Haha, it’s okay, Kyana. It wont be long until we reach land. Just a few more days." Kai reassured her.

"You said that a few days ago!"

Maybe he didn’t reassure her.

As they all waited for the monsters to attack, something flew out of the water and landed on the deck. It was a spear made out of some underwater material. It looked stone but felt like metal.

Kai had no idea what it was, but he pocketed it in his inventory to study it later.

"This looks really cool, guys. After this is over, wanna-"

"KAI LOOK OUT!"

He reacted quickly, throwing his hand behind his back and blasting whatever creature tried to attack him from behind. He didn’t get a good look at it, but the others did.

"W-Was that a fish?" Gwen was stunned.

"But it had legs."

"Maybe they’re like those sharks?" Sasha was okay now. One of the things Kai added to the ship made it feel as if they were walking on land. Because of that, Sasha wouldn’t get seasick, no matter how much the ship rocked.

They got their answer as hundreds of dark-skinned people leaped out of the water and landed on their ship.

They had thick, dark blue skin with tons of scars and tattoos on their body. Their hands and feet were webbed, which made sense because they were sea creatures, and their bodies were well-defined.

Gills opened and closed around their necks, and they had large yellow eyes to see in the dark. Finally, their head looked exactly like a fish, but more round, compact, and without a tail. On the sides of their head were two holes for ears, and their mouth were full of razor-sharp teeth.

"These creatures remind me of that one movie with the water superhero I once watched." Kai joked.

"Do you think they’re friendly?" Amaya wondered.

"Who knows? But they attacked Kai, so probably not."

The leader of the fish-men, who was wearing what looked to be a cape made out of seaweed and kelp, walked forward.

"Kookah kahcokuh!" It growled

Kai nodded. "Okay, sure, but what about. Kohkoh, klauh kloom kloo kloo."

The leader was shocked. He looked at his men, and they shrugged. Then he turned back to Kai.

"Klup klop, koookoo, klur klum!"

"The fuck?! Hell nah! Klem klem, klum klu, kleck kleck, kluckers!" Kai responded.

"Uhh, Kai." Kyana tapped his shoulder. "Do you understand what they’re saying?"

"Nah, I’m just bullshitting right now. But look, it seems as if I’m actually saying something in their language."

"Filthy human! Mimicking language!" The fish spoke.

Everyone was taken aback. Kyana slowly walked away from Kai, and when he tried to follow her, she pushed him back, shaking her head and pointing toward them as if to say...’You started this mess, so you deal with it.’

’Bitch!’ He cursed.

Kai cleared his throat and approached the Fish-man leader. "Fishy! Good to see you! How are your teeth? I told you to brush them, remember?"

"Human...Never...Met!"

"Come on! Fishy, it’s me, Kai. I was at your wedding."

"Name...Not...Fishy! Ugly...Human! Attack!" All the fish-men charged forward, wielding their spears and showing their teeth.

"Oh shit!" Kai jumped into Gwen’s arms, shivering in fear. "S-Save me!"

"Oh, shut up!" She dropped him on the floor. "Go and kill those ugly bastards."

"Aye Aye Captian!" Kai moved like a snake with how fast he was, flanking the fish-men and appearing behind their ranks.

He grabbed the heads of two of them, then crushed them together.

"I know what I’m having for dinner tonight...Chicken. Ha, you probably thought I was gonna make a fish joke, huh? Whoa!" A beam of light flew past his face, nearly striking him.

"Kill..Ugly...human!"

"Fuck you! I’m the sexiest man alive!" Kai threw his changed blade at the fishmen, cutting through their bodies and slicing them in half.

Gwen fully transformed, blasting their enemies with her breath attack and cutting through their thick skin with ease.

Amaya moved like the wind, slicing off heads, cutting off arms, and blasting fishmen away with her wind.

"I hate fish!" Sasha struck the wet deck with her hammer that was coated in lightning. The current traveled through the water, electrocuting the fish until they died.

When one of them came from behind, Sasha morphed her hammer into an axe and cut off its head.

"Ahhh! I hate this so much!" Arrows were flying everywhere as Kyana pulled back her bowstring. Despite her slight panic, she was getting headshot after headshot after headshot.

Nadya was sick and tired of her rest with Kai being interrupted, so she surrounded a group of fishmen with a barrier, then compressed it until they were squished to death.

"W-What?! Why...humans...strong?! Strange power!" The leader said in fear.

"Heh, that’s right! Now, do you want to follow your people to their graves?" Kai smirked, looking more like a monster than the lipless fishman in front of him.

"Human...Die!" The fishman grew in size, its tattoos glowing as its power increased. He stood at a staggering 15 feet tall, and his muscles were bulging with veins. The fishman swung its arm down, crashing into Kai with such force that the shockwave blew the ship off course.

But Kai, way stronger than the fishman, grabbed his fist, twisted its arm while ripping it off, then blasted him in the head with a beam that vaporized its upper body.

"That was fun. We should do that again sometime."

"Nooooo! I’m sick and tired of this already! I just wanna touch grassss!" Kyana started crying and rolled below deck.

"I feel great! I’m not throwing up anymore! Kai, let’s dive into the ocean and fight some more monsters!"

"Yeah! I like the way you think, Sasha!"

"No, you idiots! Why would you do something like that?" Gwen nearly lost it.

Amaya held her arm out. "Hold on, Gwen, they might be onto something?"

"Ughh! Not you too."

Kai couldn’t help but laugh at Gwen’s outburst. "Calm down, Gwen, I was just joking. No way I’m gonna go into the ocean to fight monsters. The only way I’d willingly go into the ocean is if I’m grabbed by a sea monster and dragged underwater. Heh, at that point, it wouldn’t even be my choice."

A massive fish tail shot out of the water and wrapped around Kai’s body.

"Oh, you’ve got to be KIDDING MEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Kai was pulled underwater.
