Chapter 346: Chapter 346: Summer Missing
Summer Sutton left without saying a word.
She was already at the filming location before calling Adrian Walyon to inform him of this.
Before Adrian could respond, she was cut off due to the remote environment and poor signal.
Adrian listened to the busy tone on the other end, his expression darkened.
Has she now learned to act first and inform later?
...
Summer really had no choice but to act this way.
If she had informed Adrian beforehand, she knew this trip would be impossible.
She was on break, with plenty of time, and wanted to earn enough for her tuition for the next school year.
The scenery at the filming location was as beautiful as the environment was harsh.
A holy land untouched by the mundane, with crystal clear water and majestic mountains—perfect for filming period dramas.
But getting there was a real struggle, involving a plane, a bus, and even a boat ride.
The surroundings had nothing to offer, and the crew had to bring all their food from Northtown.
At night, there were no hotels, just tents set up for accommodations.
Adrian called every day, but due to signal issues, they never managed to have a proper conversation.
He knew nothing about how Summer was doing, whether she was comfortable, or how the conditions were.
On the third day at the filming site, it started raining out of nowhere.
Summer was at a location surrounded by mountains, and the crew was stationed in a valley full of flowers.
The mountain rain was relentless, pouring down non-stop and drumming on the ground all day long.
By evening, because of continuous heavy rains, a mudslide occurred in the surrounding mountains.
After that, Summer completely lost contact with Adrian.
Adrian sat in the living room of the Walyon Family house, dialing Summer’s number for the umpteenth time after returning from work.
Yet, all that greeted him was the sound of the continuous busy signal.
Summer’s phone was never picked up once.
He turned on the TV, switching to the news channel covering the city where the film crew was located, which was broadcasting the mudslide news.
"At around six this evening, a severe mudslide occurred on Garrow Mountain in M County of our city. According to reports, a film crew had previously entered the mountainous area. It is still unknown if the crew evacuated safely during the incident."
On the news, the reporters were seriously covering the story.
Adrian gripped the remote hard, eyes fixed on the screen, his whitening fingers clutching it tightly.
Without even finishing the news report, upon hearing "the crew might not have evacuated," he tossed the remote onto the sofa, grabbed his phone, and rushed out of the Walyon Family mansion.
He ran urgently, it was already past eleven o’clock, without caring about anything.
"Arrange a private jet!" He phoned the butler from the garden, and by the time he reached the mansion’s main entrance, the Walyon Family private jet was ready and waiting.
Gina Sutton stood silently on the stairs, her gaze drifting towards the television, listening quietly to the news report with an icy curve on her lips.
This is fate!
Since entering the Walyon Family, Summer Sutton has never had peace!
The position of the Walyon Family’s Young Madam—how can just anyone sit securely in it?
...
Adrian took the private jet overnight, flying directly to the city where Summer Sutton was located.
The filming place was too remote; after landing in the city, he still needed to find a car to reach the county where she was.
