Chapter 225: Let Bella Green Terminate the Contract

Chapter 225: Chapter 225: Let Bella Green Terminate the Contract

The notification sound couldn’t be turned off in time, and suddenly a series of beeping tones filled the car compartment.

Bella Green looked frustrated, staring at the phone frozen, unable to operate.

The phone had only a bit of life left, now completely ruined by these social media notifications...

"What’s up, young master Bella?" Elliot Morris, who was driving, asked.

"Nothing." Bella Green tossed the phone aside, planning to log into the social media on a computer later.

The car drove all the way to the underground garage of the Nathan Bennett Group.

The two of them went straight up to the top-floor CEO’s office.

Elliot Morris snuck away after dropping Bella Green off at the door.

Lost in thought, Bella Green didn’t even knock before walking in.

Upon entering, she saw Mason Bennett sitting behind the desk, staring at her intensely.

Bella Green’s steps faltered slightly, feeling a bit uneasy under his gaze.

"Why did you have Elliot pick me up?" she asked.

Leaning forward from the chair, Mason Bennett pushed a pile of documents across the desk with his fingertips.

"Sign it."

Bella Green glanced at the stack of documents and Mason’s stern expression, feeling a sense of foreboding.

She walked over, picked up the papers, and as she read the content, her almond eyes instantly blazed with anger, forcefully slamming the documents back onto the desk.

"What do you mean by this, Mason Bennett?" she demanded angrily.

Mason Bennett looked at her, his expression cold, his voice even colder: "Terminate the contract with the Boundless crew, I’ll cover the penalty."

Bella Green laughed in exasperation, looking at the man before her, feeling strangely aggrieved.

In her past life, Mason Bennett treated her words as law, wanting to give her the stars and even the moon.

But now, for the sake of Fiona Grantham, he’s asking her to leave this industry?

"Mason Bennett, do you know how the internet will depict me if I terminate the contract with the crew now?"

Bella Green felt a chill from head to toe, with her heart as the coldest part.

Perhaps now she could clearly understand how Mason Bennett felt when she had eyes only for Vivian Thornecroft...

The man’s brows twitched slightly, then he continued, "Don’t worry, I’ll handle it. There won’t be any news about you online in the future."

Bella Green looked at him, not speaking further, her eyes losing their warmth, not even anger remained, only endless hollowness and dimness.

"Ha, I get it." Bella Green laughed lightly, then tore the document in half and placed it back on the desk.

As Mason Bennett watched the boy whose eyes no longer held any trace of anger, his brows furrowed, and as he saw her turning to leave, his heart tightened. He stood up with large strides, quickly blocking her path.

"Where are you going?" the man asked in a deep voice.

Bella Green looked up at him with a sly smile, "Obviously to get the hell out, or should I stay here to annoy you?"

Her words were like a heavy blow pounding on Mason Bennett’s heart, causing a dull ache.

"What nonsense are you saying?" he shouted sternly, "I’m making you terminate the contract for your own good."

"For my good, or for Fiona Grantham’s?"

She tilted her head, smiling sweetly with words that were annoyingly provoking.

"Seems like I need to make it clear to you who I’m really doing this for..."

The ominous words confused Bella Green a bit, her question unspoken when her shoulder was pushed backward by the man.

The sudden sensation of weightlessness almost made Bella Green cry out, but as she was about to fall, a strong arm wrapped tightly around her waist.

Next thing she knew, Bella Green’s vision blurred, and she found herself pressed against the cold, hard desk by the man.

Bella Green was startled, feeling her heartbeat erratically as she looked at the familiar face so close to hers.

"Mason... mm!"

The unspoken name was completely swallowed by the man...
