Chapter 224: Chapter 224: Attacked with Sulfuric Acid
After scrolling through her phone for a while, Bella Green tossed it aside, leaned against the bed, and frowned in deep thought.
The situation had already escalated to a severe level, yet she didn’t have a contract with any company or a manager to handle the PR crisis for her.
Bella Green rubbed her temples.
"Fiona Grantham..."
Did she offend her somehow? To the point where she wants to ruin her without holding back?
Just as she was pondering, the phone beside her rang again. Without even looking, Bella Green answered it, her voice still hoarse and irritable from waking up.
"Hello?"
The other end was silent for a second, then a low, slow voice sounded.
"Where are you?"
The sound of this voice instantly made Bella Green more alert: "Mason Bennett?"
The person didn’t respond, clearly unwilling to answer her trivial question.
"I’m at home."
"Get ready to go out. Elliot Morris is coming to pick you up."
Bella Green was slightly stunned, then quickly spoke up, "Wait, pick me up? Where to?"
"Elliot Morris should be arriving soon. Be downstairs in ten minutes."
The man’s tone was uncompromising as he said this and then, he hung up the phone.
Staring at the phone, Bella Green looked bewildered. He’s almost here?
So he knew she was home, yet he still asked where she was?
Bella Green pouted, then threw off the covers and got out of bed, heading into the bathroom.
...
After washing up and getting dressed, Bella Green grabbed her phone and walked toward the door. As soon as she opened it, she saw a young man at the door with his hand raised, about to knock.
Daniel Green looked at Bella Green, who was dressed in men’s clothing, with a slight frown.
"So the person online really is you!"
Bella Green didn’t have any surprised expression. After all, the matter had blown up so much that it was normal for Daniel Green to see it.
"Yeah." She responded lightly, closed the door behind her, and was about to leave.
Seeing this, Daniel Green hurriedly took a few steps to block her path.
"Where are you going? Do you even know who you’ve offended? If you go out like this and Fiona Grantham’s crazy fans see you, do you know what consequences could follow?"
The young man’s voice carried urgency and anger.
Bella Green paused, raised her eyes, and gave him a calm look: "None of your business."
Daniel Green was caught off guard by the rebuke, hesitated, opened his mouth, but didn’t know what to say.
He could only watch helplessly as Bella Green coldly walked past him.
Daniel Green’s hand at his side clenched tightly, his face taut as inexplicable irritation surged in his chest.
"Bella Green!" he shouted lowly.
Bella Green’s steps halted, but she did not turn around.
The young man stepped quickly beside her, pressing his lips together, his expression stubborn. After a while, he finally spoke in a muffled voice, "Wherever you’re going, I’ll take you."
Bella Green’s eyes flickered slightly, then she frowned, looking at him warily.
"What are you looking at? I just don’t want you getting acid thrown at you in the middle of the street." Daniel Green felt uneasy under her gaze and glared at her menacingly.
"No need, someone is coming to pick me up." Bella Green looked at him with a baffled expression, said indifferently, then headed downstairs in large strides.
Leaving Daniel Green caught in a state of dazed disappointment, standing there for a long time without moving...
...
Along the way, Bella Green received several messages, from Bryce Xavier, April Scott, and Dylan Xavren, who somehow got her number.
Joanna Ramsey also gave her a call.
She hadn’t told her about taking on the role of Gabriel Blake. The little girl asked a barrage of questions over the phone.
Bella Green explained helplessly for quite a while before it ended.
After hanging up, Bella Green thought for a moment and took out her phone to register a Weibo account.
Her account hadn’t been registered for even ten minutes before it completely blew up...
