Chapter 108: Chapter 107: Not Even Asking for Leave, Seventh Sister Goes Abroad Again

It wasn’t until noon that Claire Green lazily lifted her eyelids, noticing the classroom was empty except for a few people playing games nearby, a slight smile at the corners of her lips.

The laziness in her eyes hadn’t faded, and her voice was slightly hoarse.

"Let’s eat."

The three people gaming together immediately found a grenade and killed themselves upon hearing her voice.

"Claire, you finally woke up. I’m starving."

Sebastian Winn exaggeratedly held his stomach, looking at the girl with a resentful gaze.

"Fatty, if I remember correctly, you’ve been snacking nonstop since morning. How are you starving?"

John Sinclair picked up his half-eaten bag of chips from the table and shook it, unreservedly exposing him.

Claire Green raised an eyebrow, playfully clicking her tongue, "Your stomach seems quite big."

As soon as she finished speaking, John Sinclair and Isabella Xyler couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Sebastian Winn was embarrassed for two seconds before righteously retorting, "Don’t you know that a foodie has two stomachs, one for meals and the other for snacks."

"Fatty, if that’s the case, your stomach should have more than two, since two would be too small for you."

Isabella Xyler, clutching her belly aching from laughter, teased the boy in front of her trying to explain.

Sebastian Winn’s expression stiffened, finally letting out a light hum, "It’s that you don’t understand, aren’t we supposed to be going to eat lunch, why discuss me."

With those words.

John Sinclair and the others laughed even louder, even the corners of Claire Green’s eyes showed a bit of amusement.

"Let’s go."

The group went straight towards the cafeteria, classmates’ gazes unconsciously drifting towards them along the way.

"Claire, do you really not want to consider taking the nine-school joint exam that little Grace mentioned this morning?"

John Sinclair ignored those stares, hands in his pockets looking cocky, he turned his head to the girl, asking without restraint.

Claire Green looked at the message on her phone, pausing briefly, before slowly replying with two words.

Hearing John Sinclair’s question, she acknowledged with a hmm, asking casually, "What, you want to persuade me?"

Seeing through him in a glance, John Sinclair simply stopped holding back, directly saying, "I think you should give it a try, with your talent, the nine-school joint exam would be a piece of cake..."

"Speak plainly," Claire lightly glanced at him.

John Sinclair pursed his lips, "Okay, actually it’s because every time that little flower in class one gets a decent score in the joint exam, she acts all smug.

I heard this time she’s even thinking about getting recommended through the exam, so I thought maybe Claire could go and crush them all."

If Claire doesn’t pull any crazy moves, Olivia Song’s idea will be crushed in the cradle.

As soon as he finished speaking.

Isabella Xyler sneered, "With her grades, she dreams of getting recommended."

"Who knows what tricks the Song Manor might pull," John remarked nonchalantly.

Thinking about recommendations.

Claire Green chuckled, the game was only halfway, ending early wouldn’t do.

"She won’t have the chance."

The three exchanged glances and smiled, anticipating the drama to unfold.

...

"John, where’s your desk mate?"

Grace Carter looked at the empty seat next to him, frowning slightly.

Named by Grace, John made a face that said he expected this, "Claire’s handling some things."

He silently criticized that Claire had indeed told them her schedule this time, but didn’t bother asking Grace for leave, even saying if Grace asked just tell the truth, so bold.

Upon hearing this, Grace couldn’t help but laugh in frustration, "Again with things, now she’s not even asking for leave."

"Claire said if she asks you for leave, she’d end up being asked why, so it’s better to just leave directly," John relayed Claire’s exact words.

After listening, Grace’s lips twitched, she asked why out of concern.

"John, tell your desk mate to explain to me when she gets back."

With that, Grace opened her lesson plan and started today’s session.

John was left stunned, why is it always him.

Meanwhile, Claire Green had already boarded a flight to M Country, lazily tapping a few words on her phone.

[Brother, there’s a bit of business, I’ll be out for a few days.]

The message had barely been sent before a reply came.

[Okay, be careful out there.]

Staring at the words on the screen, Claire Green’s lips couldn’t help but curl up.

...

At the international airport in M Country, Old Cat was holding up a pick-up sign, his eyes constantly scanning everyone coming out of the exit.

Claire Green had just come out when she saw someone holding a sign with the big words ’I’m here to pick you up,’ her footsteps paused, then she lowered her hat brim and walked straight past him.

Passengers who saw the sign were bewildered, who would use such weird words for pick-ups, must be seriously mistaken.

Till all passengers had left, Old Cat hadn’t spotted Claire Green, so he couldn’t help but make a call.

"J, where are you?"

"Turn around, by the main entrance." Claire Green leaned on the side, speaking lazily.

"Why are you at the entrance, I couldn’t see you," Old Cat scratched his head in confusion, talking as he walked forward.

Thank you, didn’t really want you to see.

Claire Green chuckled softly, remaining silent.

Once Old Cat had come out, he saw her still holding onto the sign, coldly instructing, "Throw away what you’re holding."

"No way, I made this specially for you," Old Cat refused, scanning around before focusing.

"How is it, aren’t my words great."

Old Cat held out the sign, seeking praise with a hopeful look at her.

Claire Green responded with a slight eyebrow raise, casually replying, "Looks like you don’t realize how much attention you’re drawing with this thing."

"I thought about it for ages, you see, to avoid getting you spotted, your name is in the tiniest font."

Old Cat pointed at one spot, full of that ’I did it for you’ expression.

Following his hand, Claire Green saw a J slightly larger than an ant in her view, her lips curling.

Is Old Cat doubt her eyesight or questioning his own.

"Alright, tell me about the situation."

Claire Green withdrew her gaze, her tone indifferent.

As they got down to business, Old Cat’s expression turned serious, "According to your directions, the lab proceeded with the experiments, all was fine at the initial stage, but yesterday the tactile impressions kept failing."

Hearing this, Claire Green thought for a few seconds, "Have the values been verified?"

"Verified multiple times, everyone was out of ideas, so I had to bring you over," Old Cat nodded.

"Okay, let’s head directly to the research institute."

After getting in the car, Old Cat intended to ask her where to have lunch, but Claire Green spoke up first.

"No need to rush, you’ve just gotten off the plane, maybe take a rest first."

Old Cat turned to the girl, suggesting.

Suddenly.

Claire Green’s soft laughter echoed in the car, "Seems you’re planning to give me billions for a business trip."

I care for you, yet you’re thinking about taking my money.

Billions as a business trip fee, why don’t you go robbing.

Old Cat’s mouth twitched, he hesitated not a bit and immediately started the car, speeding towards the research institute.

Seeing this, a fleeting smile crossed Claire Green’s eyes, her lips curving subtly.
