Chapter 260: Chapter 141: He Said He Made Pretend Love Real

She didn’t want to ask him for help, but apart from him, no one else could assist her...

Mrs. Geoffrey was Andrew’s grandmother, and even if she reported it to the police, they would likely handle it as a family dispute, ultimately wasting time.

She had already reached an agreement with Howard Geoffrey about the child’s custody, and the agreement was signed, so only Howard could explain clearly to Mrs. Geoffrey, and only then might she return Andrew to her.

Constantly worrying about the child, Rebecca Quentin felt her mind was close to overload. Slowly, she leaned against the sofa and fell into a weary sleep.

Near noon, someone opened the door, and Rebecca was still sleeping soundly.

Howard Geoffrey put down his car keys, intending to head to the room, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw the slender figure on the sofa.

Howard walked quietly towards her, sat on the sofa, and quietly gazed at her sleeping form.

She lay on her side against the sofa, breathing evenly, clearly in a deep sleep.

He closely examined her weary and pale face, slowly reaching out his hand to tenderly stroke her beautiful face.

"Becca?" he gently brushed aside the hair on her cheek and softly called.

"Hmm?" Rebecca murmured in her sleep but didn’t wake up.

Suddenly, Howard lifted Rebecca from the sofa.

She seemed to make a small sound due to the change in position, her body leaning into his embrace for more warmth, snuggling like a kitten.

He easily carried her back to the room and gently laid her on the large bed in his room.

She looked peaceful in her sleep, staying as he had placed her.

He covered her properly with the quilt, his gaze lingering on her serene and ethereal face.

She had a small, oval face, with curled eyelashes like little fans covering her closed beautiful eyes, her skin as pure and delicate as water. If Christine Quinn’s beauty could be described as a quiet orchid from a secluded valley, hers was like a pure and pristine lily.

Every time he saw her after a long while, she always unexpectedly amazed him...

No other woman could make him so deeply concerned, only her.

After a long time, Howard stood up.

A strange restlessness flowed through his body as he loosened his tie.

At that moment, Rebecca, somehow, gradually woke from her sleep.

In a haze, she saw the familiar and proud silhouette standing by the bed. Rebecca suddenly became alert, and watching his actions of loosening his tie, she immediately drew back, towards the bedhead, cautiously asking, "What do you intend to do?"

The sudden voice made Howard turn around. Seeing her wary stance, he lowered his head, loosening the watch on his wrist, and casually said, "What do you think I intend to do to you?"

Rebecca quickly jumped out of bed and asked, "Where is this place?"

Howard placed the watch on the table and casually replied to Rebecca, "It’s obviously my room."

Rebecca slowly recalled the scene of Jason Wood bringing her to this apartment...

She must have fallen asleep on the sofa and vaguely felt someone bringing her into the room, but she was too sleepy to wake up at the time.

"Let’s talk!"

Rebecca said, trying to leave the room.

Just before she could open the door, Howard pulled her back into his arms, "Can’t we talk here?"

Rebecca’s hand pressed against his strong chest, her face inexplicably reddened, "You know I came to New York to take Andrew back."

Howard nodded, a mischievous smile curling at the corner of his mouth, "You need to remember, you are the one needing a favor from me now."

Rebecca glared at him with fiery eyes, "Your mother knows very well there is an agreement between us, yet she insists on doing this. I hope you can explain it to her for me."

Howard squinted playfully, the smile on his lips growing more enchanting, "You have to understand, an elder’s desire to see her grandson..."

"I can’t understand it; she took Andrew without my consent!!"

"Indeed, she was wrong in this matter. I will speak to her for you."

Rebecca shook her head, "I don’t want you to tell her anything; I just want you to return Andrew to me..."

Howard slowly pressed Rebecca against the wall, holding her hands. His magnetic voice huskily murmured, "I will definitely fulfill what I promised you."

It was only at this moment that Rebecca realized she was now trapped between the wall and him, unable to move, a strange tension filling the air.
