Chapter 17 Tony Calls, Be Careful

The two sat listlessly in the coffee shop, waiting for their assistant to bring the night's news materials.

Only Susan and Lin Feng were in the coffee shop.

After such a major disaster, very few people were out on the nearby streets.

Everyone was in a state of panic, staying home with their doors locked.

Only the wailing sirens of ambulances and police cars could be heard.

The television was also broadcasting emergency news reports.

Susan was using her phone, chatting with her best friend about the events of the evening.

Lin Feng, on the other hand, stared out the window, lost in thought.

*Ding~*

A notification sound came, and Lin Feng pulled his phone from his pocket.

It was a message from Tony Stark, who had sent Lin Feng a picture.

Opening it, he saw a picture of Lin Feng delivering the final blow to Abomination in outer space, likely taken by a Stark Industries satellite.

"Huh? That fast?" Lin Feng was bewildered. He had only returned to Earth from space about 10 minutes ago, hadn't he?

Looking at the clear photograph, Lin Feng sighed. In this era of networks and cameras, information spread faster than he could fly.

He had no doubt that this photo and the events of the night would soon be on the desks of major powers.

After all, Tony knew about it within 10 minutes of the incident. Lin Feng even suspected Tony was monitoring him.

His phone rang again; it was Tony calling directly, and he started with his usual sarcastic tone.

"Lin, are you taking your dates to outer space now?"

Heaven knows what kind of expression Tony had when Jarvis sent him the photo.

"Is this a special performance for your little girlfriend? A cosmic battle of supermen?" Tony continued to tease, "I have to say, Lin, you once again make me feel like you're some kind of monster!"

Lin Feng's strength had once again shocked him. He had underestimated Lin Feng's power.

"You already know about this?" Lin Feng chuckled.

"Can't help it, Stark Industries' satellite just happened to be nearby."

"Speaking of which, should I thank you for not blowing up my satellite?" Tony snorted twice.

"Oh! Man, my aim is pretty good!" Lin Feng teased, "After all, I have shares in Stark Industries. Why would I hit my own satellite?"

"But you got one thing right," Lin Feng's expression suddenly turned a little strange.

"Tonight was truly unforgettable!" Lin Feng quipped, "I even thought this big guy was a surprise you prepared for me, Tony!"

Tony, sitting at home, rolled his eyes. "Please, man, you doubt my taste?!"

"The surprise I prepared for you is at your villa! Lin," Tony said. "When you take your little girlfriend home later, you'll thank me."

Tony's words piqued Lin Feng's curiosity. He wondered what surprise Mr. Stark had prepared for them.

"By the way, Lin," Tony's tone suddenly became serious.

"I'm calling to tell you to be careful of those government guys."

"Stark Industries' satellite wasn't the only thing that saw this. Do you understand what I mean?"

Those government types were no pushovers. If Stark Industries could capture it, so could they.

Lin Feng's displayed abilities were completely beyond comprehension, like an alien.

The US government would not allow such uncontrollable power to exist and might take action.

This was why Tony called Lin Feng immediately after finding out.

He wanted to warn Lin Feng to take it seriously and be wary of actions from the shadows.

"Yes, I understand, Tony. I'll be careful," Lin Feng nodded, giving Tony a reassuring reply.

"As long as you're aware! If you need any help, contact me in time..."

The US government. After hanging up, a dangerous glint flashed in Lin Feng's eyes.

Indeed, they were no pushovers, but conventional firearms had no effect on him. Only heavy weaponry might pose a slight threat.

"Dog system, get out here!" Lin Feng called out.

"What is it? Disturbing my rest so late?" The system's impatient voice sounded.

"You sleep?" Lin Feng was surprised. Did systems sleep?

"...What is it, hurry up and say it!" The system seemed reluctant to deal with him.

"Can I withstand a nuclear bomb right now?" Lin Feng asked. He didn't know if the Man of Steel in the original story could withstand a nuclear bomb; it didn't seem to be specified.

If he could withstand it, the threat from the US government would be greatly reduced.

"Hmm? If you're talking about that, then I'm not sleepy anymore!" The system's voice raised a notch.

"As Superman you!" The system stretched out its words, giving Lin Feng the answer he was waiting for.

"You... can't!"

"You can't withstand it, and you're excited?" Lin Feng's face was covered in black lines as he cursed, "System, you're definitely a dog!"

"Ahem, host, don't rush!"

"It's very simple to withstand nuclear bombs."

"Spend prestige points to upgrade to Silver Superman!"

"Silver Superman has super growth potential. Even if you've just upgraded to early-stage Silver Superman,"

"You can walk through a nuclear explosion as if it were nothing!" The system promoted diligently like an insurance salesman.

"So, do you want to redeem it?"

Silver Superman was indeed powerful. A sneeze could send the sun out of the solar system, and he could even break the temporal barrier to return to the past.

However, those were basically abilities developed in the late stages.

In the Marvel universe, he would undoubtedly be at least multiversal level.

Before transmigrating, Lin Feng had some understanding of Superman's abilities at various stages.

It was impossible for him not to be tempted.

"How many prestige points does it cost to redeem?" Lin Feng asked.

"Redeeming early-stage Superman physique requires 200 million prestige points."

"That expensive?" Lin Feng was speechless. Aren't you running a black market?

"It's not expensive," the system explained.

"Redeeming a single early-stage Silver Superman ability costs 10 million prestige points."

"For example, early-stage super hearing costs 10 million prestige points, and it has no growth attributes."

"How many abilities does Superman have? I won't list them one by one!"

"Do you still think it's expensive?" After a serious explanation, the system taunted, "The abilities aren't expensive! You're just poor!"

"Dog host!"

"Damn it!" Lin Feng let out a breath of frustration.

He took a deep breath. He couldn't stoop to the dog system's level; the more upset he got, the happier it became.

"How many prestige points do I have now?"

"Host currently possesses 1.98 million prestige points."

The system displayed a record of the sources of prestige points.

"Points mainly come from the positive impact the host has made by helping citizens during this period."

"The popularity contributed by the fan base has also been converted into prestige points."

"So little?" Lin Feng was too tired to complain. When would he ever save up enough?

"What about the prestige points I earned fighting Abomination tonight? Why aren't they here?" Lin Feng browsed the prestige point records and found that his prestige points had not increased today.

"Did you skim them, you dog system?"

"Host, you just finished the fight. The forum and news heat haven't spread yet," the system couldn't help but roll its eyes and explain.

"Alright..." Lin Feng smacked his lips.

At this rate of accumulation, when would he become Silver Superman?

He needed to find a way to earn prestige!
