Chapter 289: Chapter 289: Sending You Into Eternal Slumber (Part 1)
Vincent Hawthorne’s gaze grew sharper, as if he desperately wanted to tear Casper North to pieces.
"Someone! Someone!" After shouting a few times, and realizing no one was paying attention, Vincent raised his voice again, "Colin! Colin! Why are you just standing there? Arrest these two little brats for me! I want to see what other tricks he can pull off!"
But Colin didn’t dare to move.
Vincent was so furious he was nearly exploding, roaring louder and louder.
"Shut your mouth! If you dare to howl one more time, I’ll stuff this bead into your mouth and send you into eternal sleep." With these words, he shook the light grey bead in his hand, the size of a quail egg,
Vincent immediately went silent, like a rooster with its neck snapped.
Shea watching the commotion wasn’t worried at all, tilting her head and saying regretfully, "Brother, he stopped howling, I told you, you shouldn’t have reminded him."
"You’re right." Casper North found his sister’s words very reasonable, squatting before Vincent with a negotiating tone, said, "Why don’t you howl once more? That way I have a reason to let you eat this bead, and you can perform eternal sleep for us siblings, what do you think!"
"..." He didn’t think it was a good idea!
Vincent, enraged, glared, his eyes bulging like a goldfish’s.
Casper North sighed with regret, "Sister, I think there’s no hope for you to see a new performance this time. This old geezer has surprisingly become so compliant."
"Brother, you don’t need to blame yourself too much, if the old geezer is compliant, we still have our aunt. Raina has a grudge with aunt, so we don’t need to speak of morals with enemies."
Casper North agreed, "Sister, you are truly clever. Come on, let’s have aunt put on a show."
Saying this, he pulled Shea over to Claire North.
"No! Get away! Get away from me!" Claire North struggled desperately to leave, but in reality, she couldn’t even lift a finger.
She was terrified.
Shea was immediately displeased, "Brother, she told us to get lost."
Casper North quickly comforted, "Don’t be angry, aunt has contracted another case of jealousy, you tell me when have you seen someone eternally asleep roll around."
Shea smiled again, "Makes sense, you have a point. Now hurry up, brother."
"Alright, alright." Casper said, reaching out to pinch Claire North’s chin, holding the grey bead in the other hand, "Aunt, sleep well on your journey."
Saying this, he forcefully stuffed it into Claire North’s mouth.
Claire North screamed in fright, flipped her eyes, and fainted.
Casper North snorted coldly, remembering how Claire bullied his mommy, today was just an advance on collecting interest.
When Casper turned his head, Vincent had already been carried away by Colin.
Mrs. Hawthorne and Rhoda Kensington rushed over upon hearing the commotion, crying and wailing although lacking harsh words, they showed some resentment towards Casper North.
Casper North didn’t care either, pulling Shea to find a clean place to sit down.
Shea rubbed her shriveled stomach, and said aggrievedly, "Brother, I’m hungry."
"Hold on a bit longer, soon someone will take us to feast."
"Little...little ones." Rhoda summoned her courage, walking over.
Casper North glanced sidelong, "What do you want?"
"I’d like to ask you to bring out the antidote." Rhoda hurriedly said upon seeing Casper looking at her, "As long as you save this grandpa, I’ll treat you and your sister to a feast, alright?"
"Miss, you want an antidote from me?"
Rhoda quickly nodded, coaxing, "Whatever you want to eat later is okay."
