Chapter 290: Chapter 290: Sending You Into Eternal Slumber (Part 2)
Casper North laughed, his face full of adorableness: "Big sister, do I really look that dumb?"
Rhoda Kensington was taken aback: "What do you mean by that?"
"Don’t understand? Well, let me put it bluntly, I was the one who drugged him, and here you are asking me for the antidote? If I gave it to you, wouldn’t that make me the fool?"
Rhoda was stunned and said, "But your uncle, he’s your elder."
"An elder who has no kindness or love?" Casper North snorted coldly: "As if giving him the antidote would make him want to be my grand-uncle."
"Dream on!" Vincent Hawthorne, unable to bear it any longer, gritted his teeth and said, "I will never let Raina bring you two little brats into the Hawthorne Family’s house!"
Casper North rolled his eyes: "Old geezer, let me remind you that Raina has already registered for marriage with your son, and she’s walked through that Hawthorne Family door countless times. No one listens to what you say."
Vincent Hawthorne’s fingers trembled with rage: "You you you you..."
"Me me me me..."
Vincent Hawthorne couldn’t catch his breath and fainted as well.
"Vincent!"
"Uncle!"
When Elias Hawthorne and Old Mrs. Hawthorne arrived with a group of people, they saw a scene of utter chaos.
Seeing her unconscious son, Old Mrs. Hawthorne hurriedly asked, "What’s... what happened here?"
"Mom, you have to stand up for Vincent."
Mrs. Hawthorne hesitantly described the events that had transpired.
Upon hearing this, Old Mrs. Hawthorne felt speechless and, unable to suppress her anger, scolded, "What an achievement, bullying two children!"
"Mom..."
Old Mrs. Hawthorne ignored her, waving over Casper North and Shea: "Come here, let Grandma Zane see if you’ve been bullied."
"No, he can’t handle me with his level." Casper North raised his head: "Grandma Zane, are you going to plead for your son?"
Old Mrs. Hawthorne waved her hand: "I won’t plead, there’s nothing to plead for, he brought this on himself."
Anyway, her foolish son was not in any real danger, so this would serve as a lesson for him.
Casper North was momentarily taken aback, then hugged Old Mrs. Hawthorne: "Grandma Zane, I like you."
Shea also jumped into Old Mrs. Hawthorne’s arms: "Shea likes you too."
"Alright, alright." Old Mrs. Hawthorne held one in each arm, grinning from ear to ear.
"Casper, come here."
Hearing Elias Hawthorne’s call, Casper North had no choice but to go over.
He looked at Elias with full alertness: "What do you want! Are you going to plead for that old guy?"
Elias Hawthorne’s face darkened, and he gave Casper North a light smack on the back of the head: "Do I really have no sense of right and wrong?"
"You never know, this is your old man after all."
"Just call me Daddy like Baby does."
"That’s different, you’re a step-daddy." Casper North rubbed his head in protest: "It really hurts."
"Serves you right, for your nonsense." Elias Hawthorne eyed the gray beads in Casper North’s hand: "Hand over what you’re playing with so I can take a look."
"This thing is really expensive, even a glance comes with a fee."
"A fee?" Elias Hawthorne’s eyebrows lifted slightly, his tone somewhat dangerous.
Casper North felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up but persisted: "It’s a matter of principle, I absolutely cannot compromise."
"Whatever it costs, go see your second uncle."
Casper North was overjoyed, his eyes darting about as he considered how much he could get away with asking for.
"You really are in cahoots with The Rakshasa."
