Chapter 91: A witch’s obssestion.
"I’ve found you..."
The woman had gotten half of her body through the ground, her arms wrapped around Dorian’s waist as though trying to crush him with brute force.
"I’ve found you. I’ve found you. I’ve found you."
Dorian could only look down with a face filled with fear. His body was paralyzed; not a single muscle was obeying his commands.
Not to mention, the fact the system had chosen to go offline was yet another thing to panic about. This was the first time Dorian had seen the system go radio silent.
’Dammit, what the hell is happening? Chill, calm down. I am sure I have seen her somewhere before, I just can’t remember. Fuck, the longer she holds on to me, the more I feel like I’m going to fall unconscious.’
Dorian gritted his teeth.
’I can’t risk that. Not yet, not until I have taken care of that damn dragon.’
Before Dorian knew it, the woman had fully emerged from the ground and was now standing in front of him, her arms wrapped around his shoulders.
Even though her face was close to him, he could see nothing but deep darkness.
However, her small, pink lips were still visible, which explained what was going to happen next.
She pulled in for a kiss. He couldn’t fight back, nor could he resist it. It felt familiar, almost comforting. But at the same time, he could feel a new wave of energy pour into his body; his cells, his blood, and even his veins were all soaked in this new energy.
They kissed for a while, all while the God of Gamble sat there, watching with an angered look on his face.
Slowly, the woman pulled away, her saliva lingering in a trail as she gave out a small gasp.
Then, looking directly at Dorian, who was staring back at her in shock, she spoke.
"Cheater," her voice was chilling. "You’re mine and no one else’s. All mine. Mine, mine, mine."
’Mine? What the hell is she talking about? Wait.. is she...’
Smack!
The woman suddenly smacked him on the back of his neck, causing him to fall unconscious, resting on her shoulders. She quickly wrapped her arms around him, embracing him while occasionally sniffing his neck.
"I miss this. Just wait a while, darling. Not too long now, I promise."
Pa! Pa! Pa!
The God of Gamble clapped, an amused look on his face as he remained seated on the pillow.
"Interesting. Very interesting. I am entertained." The God of Gamble laughed. "A god capable of penetrating my judgment—how interesting. Say, you realize the consequences of what you’ve done, correct?"
He soon carried a grave look on his face while pointing at the woman who was already glancing at his position.
"Not only did you enter my territory forcefully, but you also stole my child and claimed him as your own. Are you aware of what this entails?"
The woman sighed.
"I don’t care," she fully turned to him. "For starters, how dare you try to take what is mine? Jacob doesn’t belong to any of you homewreckers, but to me. Stay away."
"Oh? Don’t tell me, you are the one who engraved your insignia on him the first time? Ahaha, the God of Witches, interested in a human? That is not something you see every day," the God of Gamble laughed. "I wonder, how were you able to keep this a secret for so long?"
"..."
"Could it be, you have been traveling to dimen—"
Peeck!
The God of Gamble found his chest pierced by a long black spike, networking all the way from the ground close to the God of Witches.
Blood spewed from his mouth, his face wretched with pain as he tried to grab the spike, when yet another one shot out, stabbing him in the other half of his chest. He tried to react fast, but instead, found himself getting stabbed all over, including on his forehead.
The dark energy from the spikes slipped into his body, causing his skin to dry off, invertedly killing him in the process.
As the God of Gamble lay on the ground, he looked towards the wall with the last of his strength, and then chuckled quickly.
"You blocked off other gods from viewing what is happening? Heh, the rumors are true, your powers are unreal." He looked at her, noticing that she had completely ignored his existence and was instead focused on hugging Dorian.
"Who would have ever thought a woman who ended humanity twice would be this intrigued by a man. Haaa, I find this rather vexing though. I wanted him for—"
The God of Gamble fell silent as his head fell from his shoulder. Another flexible spike had shot out of the God of Witches’s hand and sliced his head off in the blink of an eye.
"Your voice is annoying. I’m trying to have a special moment here."
Giving the dead god a disgusted look, she turned back to Dorian, whose body was already slowly fading.
"Jacob. Jacob~ "
She kept calling his name while rubbing her hands all over his body, her head on his neck, smelling and licking him.
"I am sorry. Give me a little more time, my love. Just a little more time, and we will be together. Just the two of us against the world, my love. Yes, just the two of us, and no one else."
Her eyes glowed a purple hue.
"No one is allowed to kill you. Not while I watch over you. Your enemies are mine as well."
....
Gasp!
Dorian found himself waking up to the sound of constant banging echoing all around him.
The first thing he did was look around, and all he could see was fire burning and the ground burnt to a crisp.
’Am I back?’
He jerked up, his eyes falling on his shirtless body.
There was a sudden flashback of the scary woman who had kissed him, but Dorian knew not to focus on that when there was another matter on the ground.
’Where the hell is that damn dragon?’
"Are you looking for me?"
