Chapter 522: 522: Hall of Water’s Trial (7)
With how Xing Suiri brought back a dying disciple to his masters and dragged the culprits with him, he had explained everything he knew about the situation. Of course, it wasn’t complete as he didn’t know anything about the relationship and malice between Lan Guye and Lan Yi. As for the other two disciples that were captured, they are that man’s servants, it’s no wonder, he was making things hard for him as he hated himself to his core.
The Starfield Sect’s Supreme Master, Xia Lianyu looked at his granddaughter and said, "Xue’er, I will leave the patient to you. Please save this child."
Shen Jueyang took Lan Guye from Xing Suiri and placed him at the only place where he can lay on. A thick comforter was placed over the wooden bench which Yue Xuexia had arranged.
Yue Xuexia said to Shen Jueyang, "Put him down here and tear his upper robe. I need to see his chest wound."
Shen Jueyang did as he was told to do so while Yue Xuexia is asking the restaurant to boil him some hot water for disinfecting her acupuncture needles and also used warm water to clean her hands. Shen Jueyang helps her roll up her sleeves as she examines Lan Guye’s chest wounds.
Her thoughts are: ’This stab is quite deep. It even passed through to his back. However, the bleeding had stopped at some point and for some reason, Lan Guye’s heartbeat was only slowed but it didn’t stop completely.’
The Moon Goddess asked, "Let me see the sword that was used to stab this disciple."
Her grandmother took Lan Yi’s confiscated sword and gave it to her granddaughter.
Grandma Su asked, "Xue’er, will this child be alright?"
"Don’t worry. He won’t die as long as I don’t allow him to!!" said Yue Xuexia while checking on the sword she felt something and waves the sword once and the simple slash from her left a cut that covers the area with frost.
"This is a frost sword. A magical sword made from Ice ore and ice crystals. Even an ordinary slash will leave the aftereffects of frost," Huashen Roushen said.
Yue Xuexia said, "He didn’t die right away after this sword was used. We should take his carelessness and his little control over the sword. The stab had spread a bit of a frost but didn’t completely freeze Lan Guye’s heart. Instead, it prevents it from bleeding. I can save him."
Everyone felt relief when they heard Yue Xuexia’s words and even Lan Yi who was in dazed all this time suddenly jumped to the direction of the Moon Goddess only to be kicked mercilessly by Shen Jueyang.
Shen Jueyang looked down on him and stared at him coldly, "Do not touch, Xue’er. I will kill you on the spot next time!"
Lan Yi ignored the pain all over his body and his broken bones. He also didn’t hear Shen Jueyang’s words and once again started crawling in the direction where Yue Xuexia is. Shen Jueyang’s face turned colder at this scene and was about to stomp this rude thing to death when he was stopped by Yue Xuexia.
The Moon Goddess said, "Let him come. There is something he wanted to talk about."
Everyone watched as Lan Yi crawled near the bench where Lan Guye was placed and he was staring at him with a dazed look.
"Can he be saved? Do you need another heart for him to wake up? I will give mine to him." Lan Yi said.
Everyone didn’t expect Lan Yi to say these words, especially Xing Suiri who felt this was kind of ridiculous. Why would you kill someone only to give up yours and save him again.
Xing Suiri said, "Is there something wrong with your mind? You had stabbed him with your own hand now you wanted to save him with your life. Why do it in the first place?"
"I... I... don’t know. There is... a sound. A voice talking... in my head. It keeps... on whispering bad things... He wanted to harm the master at first so I stayed away from the master. Then Gugu came over and this time... It wanted to kill him as well."
"This hidden dungeon... I truly thought that it was only an ordinary dungeon for Gugu to play. That’s what that old man told me. I... I.... Agh!"
Lan Yi suddenly grabbed his head and as if he was suffering in intense pain coming from his head he hit it on the ground. Everyone was shocked by the scene but no one stopped him.
Yue Xuexia said, "Don’t let him kill himself. There is something in his head!"
Shen Jueyang used a binding spell that prevented Lan Yi from moving. As for Yue Xuexia, a scalpel appeared in her hand and with a simple slash a wound on Lan Yi’s forehead appeared and this slash even cut through his skull. She pulled out a thin string in her storage and controlled it inside Lan Yi’s head. She was controlling it as if fishing for something inside.
"Caught it!" Yue Xuexia said, "Jueyang, prepare a binding spell. I want to see what it is."
Shen Jueyang made a gesture with his hand while Yue Xuexia pulled out the thing her strings had caught. Once it was pulled out, a thin white long worm that looked like a mini sandworm appeared before their eyes. The binding spell Shen Jueyang had prepared caused it to be still in air and only its head was able to struggle.
Yue Xuexia instantly used Sacred Healing on Lan Yi which eventually saved his life though fainted. The others looked at the white sandworm-like insect that was pulled out of Lan Yi’s head.
"What the hell is this? An insect?" mumbles Grandpa Xia.
The other elders were also guessing about it. Only the Hidden Hermit seems to have recognized it but pretended not to get involved. However, that slight change in his eyes didn’t escape Shen Jueyang’s eyes. He didn’t grab the old man right away as Yue Xuexia wanted to focus on the patient first.
The Divine Doctor said, "Gramps, don’t let the little thing escape. I need to save this guy first."
"Alright. I will not let this weird thing escape," said Xia Lianyu while the other seniors are surrounding it trying to find its identity.
Sect Master Xing Kunlun said, "This thing looks familiar but I don’t remember where I have seen it."
The seniors were all investigating this white worm while Yue Xuexia and the rest were focusing on the moon goddess treatment on Lan Guye. Even Xing Suiri was on this side. After all, Lan Guye wouldn’t have suffered this much if not for protecting him when he is at his weakest.
He stares at the pale face of Lan Guye with closed eyes on the bench and he almost couldn’t control his temper and grip his trembling hand. When his eyes landed on Lan Yi who had fainted and the other two disciples who attacked them, his eyes were cold.
Shen Jueyang noticed Xing Suiri’s mood swing and said, "Calm down. Since the divine doctor said he can be cured then this brat will survive."
"Divine Doctor? She is!?" Xing Suiri asked in disbelief. Now the anxiety in his heart had lessened a lot upon hearing these words.
Yue Xuexia first melted the frost in Lan Guye’s heart before he bleeds a lot; she had blocked the meridians to prevent blood loss. After that she once again controlled surgical strings and used it to stitch up the open wound of the boy’s heart before healing it.
This process needs immense control and concentration. Even cold sweats appeared on her forehead. Before the sweat strolls down, Shen Jueyang has wiped it for her. It took a whole hour for the process to be done. She didn’t use sacred healing directly on Lan Guye’s heart.
Not because this skill is incapable of curing this hole but because it would cause backlashes to his other organs. Using it on patients with more than one internal injuries will not cause much backlash but for a single wounded organ it would. Sacred Healing itself had the effect of returning an organ to its peak state.
Curing more than one organ will cause a full synchronization in the internal body. However, if only one organ had returned to normal, it would overwhelm the others making them cause some organ failure. Lan Guye’s case was this. That’s why Yue Xuexia didn’t cast Sacred healing on his heart to prevent the equilibrium in his body getting wrecked.
Sigh~
"His heart is saved. However, he needs a long term to fully heal his heart. My healing skill is too potent and it might cause some sequela for him. You need to find someone to heal him. What he needs is a slow and gentle kind of healing," said Yue Xuexia.
"When will he be waking up, Princess?" Xing Suiri asked.
Yue Xuexia frowned a bit and said, "Call me Empress."
"Yes, Empress," Xing Suiri said.
Yue Xuexia sat down and used a cleansing spell on herself before drinking to calm her nerves and then answered Xing Suiri.
"He might wake up after the anesthesia I used on him fades. Half a day at least. He can no longer continue the trials for this hall. You should go back and continue yours."
Xing Suiri hesitated and his master approached him.
"Leave him to us and gather more rewards so you can give him his share," Sect Master Xing Kunlun said.
These words had convinced the young man enough and cupped his hands to the seniors before taking his leave.
