Chapter 17 The Eyeless Boy

As he passed the strange little boy, Shen Wei suddenly stopped.

"Here are the two marbles back. I found them for you! Just so you know, I didn't cheat!..."

The strange little boy standing in the darkness clearly hadn't expected Shen Wei to do this. He paused, slowly reached out to take them, and said softly, "Thank you, gege!"

"Don't be naughty next time! Got it?"

Shen Wei was about to leave when, catching a glimpse in the beam of his flashlight, he saw that the pale-faced boy had no eyes. Where his eyes should have been were two black, gaping holes, from which black blood constantly flowed, making him look terrifying.

"What happened to your eyes?"

By the time Shen Wei turned back around, the eyeless strange little boy had disappeared.

"Something terrible is coming! Go to the break room quickly, your flashlight won't last much longer..."

The Evil God's right hand urged the dazed Shen Wei.

Shen Wei snapped out of his reverie and hurried towards the break room ahead. He sped up, and the thing chasing him also sped up, its hurried footsteps following close behind. It felt as if it would catch him at any moment and slash him with its blade.

At that moment, the hairs on the back of Shen Wei's neck stood on end, and he was running at his limit. The break room wasn't far away. Finally, at the last possible moment, he rushed into the break room, which glowed with a yellow light, and slammed the door shut behind him.

"That was close! I almost kicked the bucket!"

Shen Wei thought to himself.

"Don't waste your energy, that door isn't locked. But the harmful ghosts can't come in because of the light, so don't worry..."

A slightly hoarse voice suddenly sounded behind Shen Wei.

"Damn, there's someone else in this break room. I let my guard down! I can't be so careless next time. If it was an enemy ambushing me, I would have died without knowing why..."

The man in front of him was wearing a white turban and dressed in a style similar to that of the country on Blue Star known for producing wealthy people. What was alarming was that his face was pale, and his eyes were wrapped in bloodstained white bandages. It seemed as if his eyes had suffered extremely serious injuries.

"You didn't run into that strange little boy, did you?"
