Chapter 130: You Should Come Back!

Chapter 130: Chapter 130: You Should Come Back!

Paris Suburbs.

Lin Yi was chatting happily with the red-haired man.

At least that’s what he thought.

But the red-haired man wasn’t pleased at all: "Getting food is tough, but dealing with endless attacks from bandits and zombies is better."

Lin Yi smirked: "So... my friend, do you need a food supply?"

"Damn! I also wanted to ask you if you want to keep your head?"

The red-haired man was so angry that his face and neck almost matched his hair color. He responded furiously.

"What kind of stupid question is that? Of course we need food. This is the apocalypse! Are we supposed to go to the supermarket? Or go shopping at the grocery store?"

"Haha, I happen to be able to get some for you. As for payment, I prefer the Survivor Coin."

Lin Yi smiled broadly and watched the other’s facial expression change.

"Are you joking with me?"

The red-haired man was too shocked to speak properly, but a trace of hope flashed in his eyes.

He was ready to curse the Oriental guy in front of him, but somehow, subconsciously—

He was startled by the man’s extraordinary presence!

Lin Yi did not rush to reply.

He looked around.

The security personnel at the camp were mostly civilians, about a dozen of them had system equipment.

Some of them were frightened by the sudden appearance of the handsome young man and stared at him carefully.

Wherever he went, their eyes followed.

Lin Yi felt they were appreciating him.

He was considering whether to show them his skills or follow the usual practice of trading in a secluded place within neutral territory.

But he was in a bit of a hurry today...

So, Lin Yi chuckled lightly and waved his hand, a bag of potatoes appeared in the middle of the road.

"Potatoes?!" The red-haired man screamed.

Lin Yi said leisurely, "I also have meat and vegetables. At 2.5 Coins per pound."

"How much do you have?!" The red-haired man shouted, excited as if he was having a heart attack.

Lin Yi remained silent.

With a wave of his hand, everyone present was suddenly surrounded by nearly a hundred soldiers holding submachine guns.

In an instant, the camp guards raised their guns, but quickly lowered their rifles in unison.

A few young people holding bows and arrows had fingers white, and the arrows on the string trembled slightly.

Lin Yi noticed the red-haired man’s Adam’s apple rolling, sweat on his forehead flowing into the collar.

He smiled faintly and waved his hand again, and all soldiers disappeared except for Hubert.

"Is there trouble here, boss?" Hubert asked after assessing the situation.

He was the most intimidating member in the Shelter, besides the enraged Lin Yi.

The appearance of this battle-hardened mercenary left the people in the camp speechless.

Lin Yi smiled broadly and replied, "Just preparing to do some business, and wanted you to make an impression."

Upon hearing this, Hubert nodded and took a few steps back, standing like a bodyguard behind the boss.

"Don’t worry, I’m not here to rob or incite conflict, I’m a genuine businessman."

Lin Yi saw the red-haired man looking pale and scared, almost to the point of peeing his pants, and couldn’t help but find it amusing.

"Just wanted you all to know, attacking me isn’t a wise decision. Now, let’s get back to business, shall we?"

"Alright... how much food can you sell to us?" The red-haired man swallowed hard.

Lin Yi, full of confidence, spoke words that greatly shocked the man who was already so nervous he was almost trembling.

"Enough to feed an entire town."

"Give me five minutes to think. I need to discuss with my people, okay?"

"I’ll be waiting here."

Allowed to leave, the red-haired man hurried off toward the woods, back to his base camp.

During this gap, Lin Yi turned to Hubert: "How’s everything at home?"

"All is normal, there have been a few minor skirmishes, the Beastman Lord seems unwilling to attack the walls again, waiting for us to act impulsively!"

"Let him wait then!"

"That person has returned." Hubert said, then stepped aside to avoid disrupting negotiations.

The red-haired man was panting: "We have 40,000 Gold Coins. Our camp wants to buy one and a half tons of meat, one and a half tons of vegetables, and six tons of potatoes."

"Deal." Lin Yi said, and a huge pile of food appeared behind him.

Bags filled with potatoes and vegetables, and plastic bags containing rabbit carcasses.

"Wow! That’s... so fast! Wait! I’ll go get the Coins."

The red-haired man, seeing the mountain-like heap of food, was overjoyed and lost all previous fierceness.

Other survivors in the camp couldn’t believe their luck either; so much food for just some Coins they once thought useless!

The transaction was completed.

The red-haired man, hands trembling, asked: "Sir, will you come this way again?"

"No, I have some matters to attend to in the south, then I’ll head east."

"You should come back! Before, I was in a large Survivor camp; after the camp fell, people ran off with goods... but they left a lot of Coins."

After speaking, the red-haired man blinked hard, showing a pitiful expression.

Lin Yi pondered for a moment and nodded.

This could be a trap but also a great opportunity to gather Gold Coins.

Since recruiting Hubert and others, along with several victories, he had become more confident.

"Okay, thank you!" The red-haired man called out joyfully.

He waved his hand, and a few people quickly ran toward him with a big bag filled with Coins.

Hubert smiled at them and then taught them how to combine Coins.

Afterward, Lin Yi sent these spoils back to the Shelter and left the place himself.

As soon as he departed,

The camp residents swiftly went into action.

They cooked food methodically and in appropriate portions to avoid binge eating.

Since vegetables don’t keep long, they immediately began cooking the leftover ’vegetables.’

Having been hungry for so long, many could only survive by eating edible herbs and roots, so the food they just bought was a godsend.

After leaving the camp,

Lin Yi rode his motorcycle, put on cool black sunglasses, and watched as the red-haired man’s camp shrank into a red dot in the rearview mirror.

Up ahead, the highway sign leaned toward the sky, with "Thierry Castle" written across it, riddled with bullet holes.

This is an unremarkable small town with a population of about 15,000, now entirely inhabited by zombies.

Straight-line distance-wise, Thierry Castle is about 12 kilometers from the red-haired man’s camp.

Needless to say, the journey would not be easy.

After traveling about five kilometers, he encountered a zombie horde blocking the wide highway.

"Solomon, can you hear me clearly?"

"Boss, I hear you loud and clear, are there any orders you’d like to issue?"

"Those zombie friends blocked the road. About five hundred of them, bring some people over!"

"Yes, boss!"...
