Chapter 500 Clues, Detective An An

The car drove directly out of the garage, and the surrounding protective circle kept them securely in the middle.

When getting into the car, An An proactively hugged Chen Long's arm and wanted to take Shen Feng with him in the same car.

He had already noticed that his father's expression was not very good, so he decided not to bring Shen Feng to crowd him. He would temporarily give up his mother to his father.

In the car, An An was telling Chen Long about his life planting flowers with his mother in the village. Shen Feng, however, seemed a little restless.

"Shen Feng, what's wrong?" An An asked, looking at Shen Feng, who had suddenly perked up by the window, with a puzzled expression.

Chen Long gently patted Shen Feng's head and instinctively glanced out the window.

An An's little head also poked over. "What's wrong? Are there bad people?"

Chen Long was startled by An An's childish voice. He had just mistaken Shen Feng for Shen Bing. In the past, Shen Bing's unusual restlessness was a sign that something was wrong.

But Shen Feng wasn't Shen Bing.

"It's nothing," he chuckled to himself, missing the past. "Perhaps Shen Feng isn't comfortable in the car."

For safety, he had instructed all drivers not to open their windows before getting in.

Through this window, in a special situation, at least one life could be saved.

An An was very puzzled. Shen Feng had never acted like this in the car before!

He leaned close to Shen Feng's ear. "Shen Feng, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

Shen Feng nudged his small hand with its paw, its eyes anxiously looking out the window.

An An followed its gaze, taking in everything and then quietly asked, "Are there really bad people?"

"Wuuu..." Shen Feng whimpered. This time, its paw didn't just nudge him but firmly patted the back of An An's hand.

Chen Long only heard the sounds of An An and Shen Feng talking, thinking how incredibly human-like Shen Feng was, even able to converse with An An. If it were a police dog like its father, it would likely be in its prime.

Since it appeared beside Huo Rou and An An, it was probably retired.

An An continued to comfort Shen Feng, earnestly assuring it, "Shen Feng, don't worry, I will help you find the bad people!"

Chen Long smiled and squeezed An An's small face.

After that day, Chen Long did not return immediately. He received special permission from his superiors to stay and take a vacation, and also to train soldiers for Chen Guo Chao.

He dismissed the conversation between An An and Shen Feng that day as a child's playful chat and didn't take it to heart.

Who would have thought that two days later, An An would give him such a big surprise?

When An An rushed in breathlessly, Chen Long had just arrived at the ward and was about to discuss the details of that old matter with Old Master Qin. Qin Ningyi had just finished changing the dressing and hastily zipped up his clothes, then gently asked, "What's wrong with An An?"

Huo Rou glanced at Shen Feng, who was anxiously following behind An An, and murmured, "Is there a situation?"

Shen Feng circled An An once.

"Don't rush, Shen Feng, I know."

An An cleared his throat and then spoke with a serious expression, "Mom and Dad, there's something wrong with a car outside!"

He knew he was a child and that adults might not believe him, so he went only to Huo Rou and explained to her in detail the origin of his conclusion. "It was the day we went out to eat, Shen Feng told me there were bad people. I looked outside and there were cars everywhere, and the bad people should be inside them."

Chen Long and Old Master Qin listened to An An's crisp childish voice as he explained how he locked onto the target, how he collaborated with other children in the hospital to verify the target, and finally how he determined the problem. The two men, with a combined age of over a hundred years, were so astonished they didn't know what to say.

Such rigorous thinking and fluent expression, even if he were just playing a game, would be worthy of great praise.

As they were silently thinking of words to praise An An, they hadn't paid too much attention.

An An continued to present his evidence: "There was a buzzing sound inside, and a big brother used his mom's phone to record it and send it to An An. Mom, listen, it's really strange!"

He handed his small phone to Huo Rou.

Huo Rou had listened to him throughout, showing no sign of dismissing his words. She took the phone and exchanged a look with Qin Ningyi. Both of them very seriously opened the recording and listened.

They heard every word An An said.

Influenced by their serious and solemn demeanor, Chen Long and Old Master Qin also held their breath and listened.

Amidst the "buzzing" sound, there were faint human voices, too indistinct to be understood.

It was indeed strange, but based solely on the "buzzing" sound, they couldn't tell what it was, let alone confirm if it was malicious.

Huo Rou frowned as she listened to the sound.

She remembered BDD, who had been closely following Qin Ningyi. It seemed they had placed some eyes on them...

In the documents previously obtained from Kote, the term "collector" had been mentioned.

"An An, you're amazing!" Huo Rou kissed An An's forehead. "You might have helped Mom a great deal."

"Really??" An An's eyes lit up.

Huo Rou nodded heavily. "Really. An An's information is very useful!"
