Chapter 507 Defense, Prevention

The head of the security center pondered for a long time. After Luo Chen left with excitement, he couldn't help but inquire about Huo Rou under the guise of reporting work.

"President Qin, is God Huo... oh, Miss Huo, is she done being busy?"

Qin Ningyi glanced out the window and saw Huo Rou's car parked at the entrance. The smile on his face instantly bloomed. "Mm."

The director became somewhat incoherent, still talking about how Huo Rou had helped them reinforce the system and complete the defense mechanisms.

Huo Rou had called him earlier, telling him not to worry, so he knew the matter was resolved. Therefore, he wasn't surprised to hear the security center director's increasingly worshipful tone.

However, the hint of trepidation and respect mixed with this worship felt strange to him.

"Does Miss Huo still... still accept people?" After a long preamble, the head of the security center still hesitantly asked about this.

If he could go through a back door, perhaps it would work?

"Accept people?" Qin Ningyi repeated the sentence, feeling a strange dullness in his heart. "Are you planning to switch jobs?"

The head of the security center dared not breathe, as that was truly not his intention.

Huo Rou happened to walk upstairs and, seeing Qin Ningyi's strange expression, couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"

Hearing the director's excited trailing voice on the phone, Qin Ningyi frowned and handed the phone to her. "My employee."

Upon hearing Huo Rou's voice, the director found himself unable to ask his question. He stammered out his greetings and began talking about the public opinion incident that morning, praising Yuda Security for their significant help in preventing more serious consequences.

Huo Rou, however, suddenly turned serious. "There are more dangers online. It's best not to expose your critical information to other applications. Try to use the company's system."

"Yes! God Huo, thank you for the reminder. I'll get right on it." The security center director's years of work experience led him to prioritize this issue highly.

After the call ended, Huo Rou, thinking about Duan Rui's situation, couldn't help but remind Qin Ningyi as well.

In the face of profit, many people are just ordinary people.

After the head of the security center communicated his thoughts to Xiao Konglin, Xiao Konglin decisively convened an all-hands meeting.

As everyone rushed to the conference room, they couldn't help but speculate.

"Didn't Vice President Qin go to the hospital? Why are we still having a meeting? A review?"

"No way, I heard the security center is hosting it."

"The security center almost lost their own territory, and now they're hosting a meeting?" said an old company employee with curly hair.

Hearing her complaint, others chuckled. "Sister Hua, why don't you go tell them? We all want to go home."

The nail that sticks out gets hammered, but if the one sticking out is an old bird, that might not be the case.

Sister Hua, even more annoyed by the young people's words, said, "Right? Which department wasn't busy today? Only the security center people were sitting pretty."

Someone who had passed by the security center spoke up in their defense. "Sister Hua, you're wrong about that. The security center people have been working overtime since midnight. They're even more tired than us!"

"What are they tired about? They can just find Yuda Security if something happens. You can work overtime, but my old bones can't."

After a day of chaos, she really didn't want to sit and listen to lectures anymore at her age.

Entering the conference room, the head of the security center was already waiting, his face serious and earnest. The PPT on the large screen was paused on "The Importance of Security Awareness."

Sister Hua slipped into a seat at the back and started chatting with the person next to her as soon as she glanced at the screen.

"I've called everyone for an emergency meeting today to emphasize information security issues," the director cleared his throat and began the meeting.

"Our company has suffered a severe cyberattack. With the cooperation of the security center and Yuda Security, we managed to avoid disaster. However, we still faced a crisis today. Network security is not just a matter for our department, but rather..."

The director spoke with great passion, starting with the crisis the company faced and giving numerous examples. Most people listened attentively.

"Therefore, everyone must be careful when browsing the internet from now on. Sensitive company information should preferably be transmitted through our own system. The chat tools you normally use are not safe places, so please do not discuss sensitive information on them."

"Do not click on unfamiliar links casually. Everyone, look at this case..."

While the precautions were being discussed, Sister Hua was bored to death listening below.

"Sister Hua, can you remember any of this?" A young person beside her leaned over and saw the Candy Crush game on her phone screen, teasingly asking.

Sister Hua successfully cleared a line and then looked up at the PPT. "I don't understand these things. Making us use the company system just means more overtime for me..."

"What you said makes some sense!"

"Right?" Sister Hua tidied her curly hair. "Besides, isn't this something their security center should be worrying about? How would I, someone in sales, know about information security matters?"

While Sister Hua was chatting animatedly, Xiao Konglin saw everything clearly from above. He gestured to Sister Hua's direct supervisor, and after some intervention, the people around Sister Hua sat up straight.

"Sigh!" Sister Hua, however, was bored. She tapped into the next level of Candy Crush, her fingers sliding. "They won't even let me talk."

She was an old employee of the company and her sales performance was good, so when she spoke, she was unrestrained.

"Why is the internet so dangerous?" she grumbled incessantly, having used up her moves in Candy Crush and now clicking on an advertisement to gain more. "It's even ruined my Candy Crush game."
