As Bai Qi arrived at the territory, other centurions and junior officers quickly assembled, forming a force of about four thousand men.
Bai Qi observed the opposing city walls, which were not very high. However, from the intel provided by Si Teng, he saw that the enemy territory had numerous defense towers.
Therefore, Bai Qi began his arrangements. He dispatched a specialized team for breaching the city gates, instructing them to infiltrate stealthily. Once the gate was breached, they could charge in directly.
To ensure the successful demolition of the enemy's city gate, Bai Qi produced an S-grade bombing scroll and handed it to a soldier. Several soldiers, carrying talismans, secretly infiltrated the city gate. They then unleashed the scroll's power and quickly retreated.
Bai Qi, along with four thousand soldiers, formed a battle formation and, under Bai Qi's command, began their assault on the city walls.
"Charge!"
The ground rumbled as Bai Qi led two thousand cavalry, transforming into a torrent that crashed towards the territory.
With a deafening roar, the enemy's city gate instantly turned into fragments.
Inside the territory, defense towers were immediately activated, commencing their assault on Bai Qi and his forces.
The enemy territory possessed quite a few elemental towers, and even two S-grade defense towers. Unfortunately, the city gate Bai Qi had chosen was not equipped with S-grade defense towers.
This particular location had the fewest defense towers.
Despite this, the defense towers' attacks rained down upon Bai Qi's forces. Bai Qi scoffed, unleashing a surge of bloody energy that coalesced into a sea of blood, surging towards the aerial attacks.
"Boom!" The defense towers' attacks caused no damage whatsoever.
Subsequently, another wave of attacks from the defense towers descended. Bai Qi unleashed the power of the battle formation, which manifested as a massive defensive shield.
"Boom!"
The incoming attacks landed on the formation, only causing the shield's luminescence to dim slightly, failing to breach the formation.
The overall damage to the territory was greatly reduced. These defense towers were utterly incapable of hindering Bai Qi's overwhelming battle formation.
The cavalry led by Bai Qi moved with incredible speed. The defense towers had only fired twice before Bai Qi, with his soldiers, stormed into the territory.
Once inside the city, the defense towers lost their effectiveness, as they were designed to target enemies outside the city walls.
An alarm immediately blared throughout the territory, startling its lord.
"Damn it, how could someone launch an attack on my territory so quickly!" the man exclaimed in bewilderment. However, he remained a competent lord and immediately began to muster his troops to confront the attackers.
Yet, as he gathered only a few hundred soldiers, he saw a group of fast-moving cavalry charging towards him.
"Holy crap, what kind of army is this? How did they break in so fast? Have I encountered a top-tier lord's army?"
The man, unwilling to surrender passively, also summoned a mount and charged towards Bai Qi.
Soldiers on Bai Qi's side unleashed a volley of arrows. The man, possessing some skill, drew his weapon and deflected the arrows. However, his soldiers behind him lacked such ability and were wiped out in a single barrage.
The man rapidly charged at Bai Qi, but after a flash of bloody light, the lord was struck down, vanishing from the territory in a burst of light.
Bai Qi soon located the territory's crystal and began to attack it. As the crystal's defenses dwindled to their lowest point, the entire territory instantly dissolved into a beam of light, disappearing from that location.
Si Teng had witnessed Bai Qi's complete annihilation of the territory from start to finish and immediately praised him, "General Bai Qi, well done! Congratulations on capturing a city. I've found another territory, though it's fifty kilometers from you."
"Location," Bai Qi responded simply.
Upon hearing this, Si Teng quickly sent Bai Qi the coordinates. It seemed she was beginning to understand why the lord had appointed Bai Qi as the supreme commander of the entire army.
Such decisive and unhesitating execution was indeed formidable.
Si Teng planned out the route for Bai Qi and his forces, marking all the monsters along the way to help Bai Qi hunt more soul coins and Mid-Autumn Rabbits.
Bai Qi studied the map, began assigning routes to the various generals, and then, following the map's instructions, they launched another assault towards the territory fifty kilometers away.
Meanwhile, the man defeated by Bai Qi remained utterly bewildered. He reluctantly opened the Lord's Forum and recounted his tragic experience.
The title read: "Do you believe I was wiped out in minutes by a bizarre army?"
He described the general situation of his territory: thirty thousand troops and forty defense towers—a configuration that was by no means low.
Yet, being eliminated in mere minutes was truly abysmal.
Soon, comments began to appear:
"You're really unlucky. You must have encountered a top-tier lord. I estimate their territory is level ninety or higher."
"That army must have been very strong too, probably S-grade troops."
"Those were cavalry, and not even on warhorses. The opponent must be a top-tier expert, possibly with around a century of territory development."
"Losing to such a powerhouse isn't shameful. Cheer up, I couldn't even last thirty minutes after starting."
...
At this time, Zhou Yan also suddenly noticed a large influx of soul coins, and even twenty points in earnings.
"What the heck, why are there so many points and soul coins all of a sudden?" Zhou Yan wondered, but he didn't dwell on it, completely unaware that Bai Qi had already led his forces in destroying a territory.
He now had several hundred points and assumed others had discovered numerous Mid-Autumn Rabbits and happened to kill them, or perhaps found a very high-level Mid-Autumn Rabbit, thus earning more points.
After all, a Bronze-grade Mid-Autumn Rabbit yielded ten points, and higher-quality ones would undoubtedly grant more.
As he moved further away from the territory, Zhou Yan also received news from Yin Lihua that an army of about five hundred men was approaching their direction.
"Oh, five hundred men? Not enough to worry about," Zhou Yan stated nonchalantly. "Ignore them. We'll continue hunting our monsters. If they dare to attack, hmph!"
He had no time to waste on them. His goal was points and monsters.
While defeating other territories' soldiers could yield more soul coins, one never knew the enemy's territory level. If one were unlucky enough to encounter a level ninety or higher territory and proactively attack, they would likely face severe retaliation. Thus, it was better to leave them alone.
