Chapter 311 A Difficult Wake-Up Call

Nan Ziyun slept soundly, as if once asleep, she wouldn't wake up. Yu Jingchen sat beside her, but Nan Ziyun didn't stir.

"It's already noon, and you're still sleeping," Yu Jingchen said helplessly, reaching out to pinch her cheek.

Seeing that Nan Ziyun still didn't react, Yu Jingchen increased the pressure slightly. Nan Ziyun, perhaps feeling uncomfortable, pushed with her hand. However, Yu Jingchen didn't let up.

"Still not getting up?" Yu Jingchen whispered in Nan Ziyun's ear.

"Mmm~" Nan Ziyun tried to turn over. Yu Jingchen directly took the pillow from her hands.

Suddenly losing the thing she was holding, Nan Ziyun felt unaccustomed and reached out to find it.

Yu Jingchen raised an eyebrow, then took Nan Ziyun's hand. "Xiao Yun'er, aren't you getting up yet? It's time." Yu Jingchen coaxed her.

"Mmm~" Nan Ziyun, half-awake, felt sore and tired. She didn't want to get up.

"Get up quickly." Yu Jingchen pulled her directly into his arms. Nan Ziyun felt boneless, her eyes unwilling to open.

"No~ so tired~ so sleepy~" Nan Ziyun's words trailed off. Yu Jingchen, helpless, clasped Nan Ziyun's waist and pulled her into his embrace.

"Good girl, it's time to get up. I'll take you out of the palace today, okay?" Yu Jingchen was coaxing his little Yun'er again.

Out of the palace? Nan Ziyun suspected she was still dreaming, not fully awake... Yes, she was indeed not awake yet.

"If you don't get up soon, there'll be no more going. I'll go out of the palace by myself later," Yu Jingchen provoked her deliberately.

"Out of the palace..." Nan Ziyun vaguely registered this point.

"Yes, out of the palace. If Xiao Yun'er gets up, I'll take you out of the palace, alright? Do you want to keep sleeping or go out of the palace?" Yu Jingchen tickled Nan Ziyun's nose.

"Out of the palace, Xiao Yun'er wants to go out of the palace..." Although Nan Ziyun said this, her eyes never opened.

Yu Jingchen was amused by her, such a cute little thing.

"Alright, get up quickly." Yu Jingchen lifted Nan Ziyun again. Nan Ziyun grew impatient and fidgeted in Yu Jingchen's arms.

Nan Ziyun stretched lazily. Yu Jingchen held her, wrapping her in the quilt to prevent her from catching a chill.

"Get up, okay? You can go out of the palace after you eat," Yu Jingchen said patiently.

"Okay..." Nan Ziyun's voice was languid. Yu Jingchen had no choice but to put her down again. "Just for the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, at most another cup of tea. If you don't get up by then, I'll leave by myself." Yu Jingchen said deliberately.

"Okay..." Nan Ziyun agreed but didn't move. Yu Jingchen got up to leave; getting her to wake up was truly difficult.

Nan Ziyun was very groggy. When Yu Jingchen returned, he had hot water and a cloth prepared.

"Are you up?" Yu Jingchen asked, looking at the girl curled up in the quilt. Nan Ziyun covered herself with the quilt, then subtly revealed her face and struggled to open her eyes.

Seeing this, Yu Jingchen smiled gently. "Tsk, you finally decided to wake up? Let me see, which little girl is so lazy?" Yu Jingchen sat by the bed.

"Mmm..." Nan Ziyun held out her hand and stretched again.

"Let me see, tsk, she's still mine." Yu Jingchen embraced her again.

Hearing Yu Jingchen's words, Nan Ziyun chuckled foolishly. "Sore..." Nan Ziyun said.

"Good girl, it'll be better in a moment. Let's wash your face first, okay? You'll be more awake after washing your face," Yu Jingchen coaxed.
