"I understand, I'll work hard recently," Qian Xiaoguo said, her head drooping. All thoughts of CP were tossed aside; studies were more important.
The two returned to the classroom. The sports representative was holding the sign-up sheet for the autumn sports meet, allowing everyone to register. There were many events organized by the school, and nearly all of the over thirty students in the class were signing up.
"Jiang Mianmian, Qian Xiaoguo, you two are back just in time. I've signed you up for the 5000-meter race," the sports representative said, writing down their names.
"No, I don't want to participate in the long-distance race, I can't run that far! Mianmian can't either. I want to do short sprints," Qian Xiaoguo immediately refused.
Everyone knew that the event no one wanted to participate in was the long-distance race. It was too exhausting, enough to kill a person. Anyone who participated was an idiot!
"All other events are full. It's first come, first served because you two came back late. You can't break the rules. Now only the long-distance race and swimming are left. Two events per person, so you two have to participate in these," the sports representative explained.
"Impossible, let me see!" Qian Xiaoguo rushed forward to snatch the list. When she saw the sheet already filled with names, she felt her vision darken and nearly fainted.
She didn't want to run the long-distance race, nor did she want to swim. Participating in these two events was worse than annihilation.
Qian Xiaoguo was so angry her chest ached. Her lips pouted high, showing her displeasure. Mianmian also wasn't keen on running or swimming, as swimming required wearing a swimsuit in front of many classmates, which she wasn't comfortable with.
But there was nothing they could do to change it now.
After the sports representative finalized the list, he submitted it.
Yun Buji watched the class sports representative hopping around at the front. His eyes narrowed. He asked the student next to him, "Does everyone in this class have to participate?"
Suddenly singled out by the school's top bully, the student was flattered and quickly nodded, "Technically, yes... Uh, you don't have to participate, it's okay."
Yun Buji narrowed his eyes, lowered his head, and picked up his phone to message Li Xiang. He asked, "Even if your leg is broken, do you need three years to recover? When are you coming back to school!"
Li Xiang was Yun Buji's best friend and right-hand man. The last time they had a fight, before jumping over the wall, his leg was broken first, forcing Yun Buji to stop and carry him to the hospital. The guy had been confined to bed for a month and still claimed he wasn't recovered.
"Brother, it takes a hundred days for bones to heal. How can it be so quick? You need some common sense," Li Xiang said, lounging at home, eating fruit and living a life of luxury. He didn't want to go to college anyway, and he wouldn't get in. He planned to get a diploma and start his own business.
"Help me out," Yun Buji didn't waste time and got straight to the point.
"Brother, go ahead," Li Xiang immediately straightened up. What kind of person was Yun Buji? For him to ask for help, it must be a huge matter. Was he going to get into another fight? He couldn't miss out on that!
Even if he had to limp, he would go! The opponent must be tough, or Yun Ge wouldn't be so serious.
"Later, get me a list of names registered for the school sports meet. It needs to be for the first year students," Yun Buji messaged him.
"Uh... Brother, what are you doing? Why are you suddenly interested in the first year?" Li Xiang didn't know what was going on.
"Less nonsense. Send it to me tonight," Yun Buji knew that Li Xiang's relatives were in charge of sports at the school, so he could accomplish this.
