Chapter 978 How about I let you pull my hair

Yun Buji watched her eagerly insert the straw and start drinking, her pretty little face breaking into a radiant smile. His mood lifted considerably.

"Little greedy cat," Yun Buji said with a laugh.

"I'm not! But what are you worried about for me?" Mianmian looked at him, puzzled. This road was very safe; what was there to worry about?

"Worried you're too stupid to find the station," Yun Buji said deliberately. In truth, he just wanted to spend more time with her, even if it was only for a short while.

"You... do you know what we have in common?" Mianmian asked, her eyes wide.

"What?" Yun Buji looked at her with interest.

"You're the school's bully, and I'm the top student. We have one character in common! So your worry is unnecessary, understand?" Mianmian snorted coldly and turned away, ignoring him, continuing to drink her sweet milk.

Yun Buji smiled silently and said no more, his gaze never leaving her. Mianmian opened the car window a little, and the wind blew in, making her feel particularly comfortable.

When the car reached the station, Yun Buji took Mianmian and they switched to another mode of transport: his heavy motorcycle. This time, the young man, as if by magic, produced a pink helmet and put it on her himself.

Mianmian noticed a small airplane on the helmet, the kind that spins when the wind blows.

She thought it was so cute and reached out to touch it, her face breaking into a smile again.

He settled her on the back of the bike, and Yun Buji rode off. Mianmian quickly reached out and held onto his clothes, lest she fall off.

Yun Buji curved his lips. This time, he drove slowly and steadily.

When they arrived at the night market, it was still early, and people were setting up their stalls. Yun Buji took her to a few stalls to pre-order food, then led her to a quiet spot to sit and wait.

Mianmian asked, "How is your friend's grandfather? Is he better?"

"He's been moved to a general ward. He'll be fine," Yun Buji said, looking at her with a smile. He thought she was perfect in every way, not only beautiful but also kind, caring about a stranger she'd never met.

"That's good. If you need any help, please don't hesitate to ask. I can help find doctors," Mianmian said.

"Got it, young lady," Yun Buji couldn't help but tug at her braid.

"Don't tug my braid, you're annoying!" Mianmian feigned annoyance and pushed him.

"Okay, okay, I won't tug. How about you tug my hair? Pull as much as you want," Yun Buji had short hair. Mianmian reached out and actually tried to pull it, but it was prickly.

Her hand was tender, and it became red from pulling. Yun Buji quickly took her hand and blew on it affectionately.

Mianmian's eyes reddened with anger, and she angrily tried to pull away, wanting to ignore him. Yun Buji held on tightly, refusing to let go.

"Brother Yun?" a disbelieving voice called out. Yun Buji looked over and saw a few friends who had also come to eat. Among them was Zhao Mai, who looked at Mianmian with an almost murderous glare.

Yun Buji's face darkened. "You guys go eat your food. I'm eating with my classmate today."

"Okay, Brother Yun. We'll head off then." The few people were sensible and pulled Zhao Mai along. However, Zhao Mai didn't want to leave. She yelled at the few people angrily, her voice so loud that half the street looked over. In the end, she was pulled away.

Zhao Mai was unwilling and cried, "Did you see? Brother Yun and that little girl are not a good match at all. If Brother Yun doesn't wake up, that girl will kill him! They're not from the same world!"
