Chapter 645 Fighting

"No need, you go and wash up quickly. Listen to me, or I'll get high blood pressure from worrying!" Old Yan pushed her towards the washroom, refusing to let her enter the kitchen.

Ye Wan didn't insist further and went to wash up. When she came out, a lavish breakfast was already on the table. Old Yan said with a smile, "Come and eat quickly. After eating, you can go back to sleep. Once you're well-rested, we can talk about me recognizing you as my granddaughter."

Ye Wan didn't know what to say. As she sat down to eat, she felt a bit dazed. She had just lost the parents she had finally recognized, and now an old man insisted on being her grandfather.

She felt life was quite magical.

Ye Wan also liked the elder in front of her and said, "Grandpa, you eat something too."

Old Yan looked at the girl before him, smiled, and nodded, saying repeatedly, "Yes, yes... my granddaughter is so good to me."

Ye Wan felt a little embarrassed. This was clearly something the elder had bought himself.

If the Yan family saw Old Yan's current demeanor, they would all be stunned. Old Yan was known for his eccentric and rigid temper, especially towards his juniors, whom he had always treated with strictness and never with a pleasant expression.

Old Yan was serious about recognizing Ye Wan and had brought many gifts with him this time. After Ye Wan finished her meal, Old Yan had his driver deliver all the gifts.

Ye Wan stared at the piles of gifts, somewhat dumbfounded. The elder had brought far too much; the doorway was completely filled.

"These are not important; they are just my way of expressing my feelings. I will go back now and announce my decision to my family. You just wait with peace of mind," Old Yan said with a smile and then left, reminding Ye Wan to get more rest before departing.

Ye Wan couldn't sleep anymore. She didn't know how to handle all the gifts scattered around. Most of them were luxury items with logos. Some she didn't recognize, but she felt they must be expensive.

...

Ye Wan still hadn't slept enough and was planning to go back for a second nap. Although she wasn't as sleepy as before recently, she would occasionally feel very tired.

Just as she was about to fall asleep, her phone rang. She was startled, picked up her phone, and saw an unknown number. She answered it.

It turned out to be a call from the school's director, stating that Shen Ziche had gotten into a fight at school and had injured someone. The other party's parents insisted on pursuing the matter, and they asked her to see if she could mediate.

Ye Wan initially didn't want to interfere with Shen Ziche's academic matters anymore. Since the money had been given, she didn't want to spend more time on him.

But how could he dare to fight just two days after arriving at school?

Ye Wan found it somewhat unbelievable. She got up, changed her clothes, and took a taxi straight to the school.

When she arrived at the school, she saw Shen Ziche standing outside the office. His hair was messy, his face was bruised and swollen, his hair disheveled, his nose clearly had bled and was now plugged with tissue.

Even though it was spring, the weather wasn't warm yet. Only Shen Ziche was standing outside, freezing. His hands were red from the cold. Ye Wan frowned and asked, "Where are the people you fought with?"

"They're all inside." Shen Ziche felt ashamed when he saw her, but a part of him was also happy that she had come to school for him.

"Come, let's go in!" Ye Wan said, pushing open the office door and walking in.

There were quite a few people in the office. They were initially talking volubly. Ye Wan overheard bits of their conversation, such as how such a black sheep must be expelled and should be sent to jail. It wasn't until she brought Shen Ziche in that they all looked over. Upon seeing Ye Wan, their expressions shifted from surprise to disdain, completely disregarding Ye Wan.
