Chapter 723 She Can't Get Anything Out of Me

Lin Zehan immediately called an ambulance for her, while comforting her not to be afraid, saying he would be there soon.

Ye Wan lay flat on the sofa, trying her best to calm down. She took deep breaths in and out, striving to maintain emotional stability, which would in turn help stabilize her body.

Lin Zehan and the ambulance arrived almost simultaneously. Upon entering, the medical staff immediately examined Ye Wan. Learning she was pregnant, they administered a tocolytic drug and rushed her to the hospital.

After treatment, Ye Wan and the baby were both safe. The doctor mentioned that fortunately, she had been brought in promptly; otherwise, the baby might not have been saved.

Thinking that all of this was the result of Gu Yunting's reckless behavior, Ye Wan wished she could beat him up.

"Doctor, is my baby healthy?" Ye Wan inquired, a little confused as to why Gu Yunting was convinced her baby was unhealthy.

"Don't worry, the little baby is very healthy. It's a strong and robust little fellow," the doctor said with a smile.

"Okay, thank you, doctor. What should I pay attention to recently?" Ye Wan's mood brightened considerably upon hearing that the baby was healthy. She didn't understand Gu Yunting's attitude, especially his insistence that the baby was unhealthy.

Now it was proven that he was wrong; her baby was perfectly healthy.

"You need to rest in bed for at least three days, take the tocolytic medication for a week, and absolutely avoid strenuous exercise. This is a critical period, and you need complete rest," the doctor instructed.

Ye Wan blushed at the doctor's words. She didn't want this either; it was all because of that shameless scoundrel, Gu Yunting.

Lin Zehan returned after paying the fees, and he also bought food for Ye Wan. She was still receiving the tocolytic drip and would be under observation for the night.

"Brother, thank you. I'm fine here now. You should go back," Ye Wan felt it was too much trouble for Lin Zehan and was a bit embarrassed.

After all, he wasn't her biological brother, yet he was so kind to her, which made Ye Wan feel guilty.

"I don't have anything to do tonight. Sleeping anywhere is the same. I'll stay here and keep you company tonight." How could Lin Zehan possibly leave? It was rare for Ye Wan to ask for his help, especially on such an important matter concerning her health. He was certainly going to take care of her.

"Brother, thank you so much." Ye Wan was truly touched, her eyes feeling a little sore and watery. There weren't many people in this world who were genuinely good to her.

"If you thank me again, I'll get angry. Hurry up and eat, and then go to sleep after you're full." Lin Zehan also felt sorry for this sensible and kind young woman.

"How is your internship over there? Are you getting used to it? Is anyone bullying you?" After helping her find an internship, Lin Zehan had only asked about her situation, and she had replied that everything was fine, not saying much more.

"It's very good. My colleagues are all older than me, and they take good care of me and are willing to teach me things. I've really learned a lot." Ye Wan's face lit up with a smile when she talked about work.

"That's good. Is anyone bullying you? If someone bullies you, you must tell me." Lin Zehan was very worried that she wouldn't say anything even if she was bullied.

"There's another intern. She doesn't really like me, but I don't care. I'm not money, am I, that everyone has to like me?" Ye Wan was very open-minded. She had never cared whether others liked her or not. If she cared, it was only about the people she cared about.

Lin Zehan frowned upon hearing this and said, "I'll go and ask who it is. Who dares to bully my sister!"

"Don't bother, Brother. I can handle it myself. She can't take advantage of me," Ye Wan said with a smile.
