"I'm sorry." The young man suddenly apologized to her.
Ye Wan was surprised by his sudden apology and looked at him curiously, "Why are you saying sorry to me?"
"I think I've gotten you into trouble. I can't unlock this," the young man said apologetically.
Ye Wan looked at the boy's innocent eyes, and her head ached even more. She wished he were a bad person, so she wouldn't have to struggle with how to treat him.
"It's not your fault. Is what you said true? That you sold yourself because your mother is sick?" Ye Wan asked.
"My mother is still in the hospital waiting for surgery. She needs a heart transplant. The match has been found, and we're just waiting for the transplant," the young man's eyes reddened as he spoke, clearly telling the truth.
"If that's the case, I'll find a way to open this when we get back. You can leave after it's unlocked," Ye Wan wondered if Gu Yunting would be angry when she returned with him.
How was she going to explain this boy to him?
"My name is Shen Ziche," the young man suddenly introduced himself.
"My name is Ye Wan. How old are you?" Ye Wan felt that this boy was probably younger than her, but he seemed quite mature, likely due to shouldering family responsibilities from a young age.
"Eighteen," Shen Ziche intended to say he was older, but ultimately told the truth.
Ye Wan didn't know what to say. He was four years younger than her; she was already twenty-two after the New Year.
"Later, no matter what you see, don't say anything. Leave everything to me. Do you understand?" Ye Wan worried that when they returned to the Gu residence, Gu Yunting would go mad seeing her and Shen Ziche handcuffed together!
Shen Ziche nodded without any objection.
But Ye Wan still felt incredibly distressed, hoping Gu Yunting could calmly listen to her explanation when he saw her handcuffed to Shen Ziche.
This person named Luo Su was clearly targeting Gu Yunting. She didn't know if Gu Yunting knew she had been kidnapped or if he was looking for her.

When the car arrived at the Gu residence, Gu Yunting stumbled out. Seeing Ye Wan get out of the car, he quickened his pace, even regretting that he had fallen asleep on the sofa and couldn't pick her up immediately.
The next second, a man got out of the car with Ye Wan. They seemed quite close, and Gu Yunting's expression changed drastically. A sharp pain shot through his chest, and he rushed forward, punching Shen Ziche in the face.
Ye Wan didn't even have a chance to stop him. Shen Ziche was knocked to the ground. Ye Wan's hand was handcuffed to his, so she was dragged down with him, falling directly onto him.
This scene further enraged Gu Yunting. He immediately went to pull Ye Wan, his eyes bloodshot, "Ye Wan, what are you doing?"
"It hurts... Gu Yunting, look closely! I'm handcuffed to a pervert named Luo Su! Can you help me unlock this damn thing first?" Ye Wan quickly explained the situation, afraid that Gu Yunting, in his rage, would kill both her and Shen Ziche.
Gu Yunting then noticed that Ye Wan's hand was handcuffed to this unknown young man. He tried to help Ye Wan up, but since Shen Ziche couldn't stand, Ye Wan also couldn't. She could only sit on the ground, and thinking about facing Luo Su, the pervert, she couldn't help but cry.
