Chapter 745 So Eager for a Home

Looking at her swollen belly now, he surprisingly had a strong urge to reach out and touch it.

Thinking so, he did just that. He walked over, hugged her from behind, and placed his large palm on her bulging abdomen. At that moment, he felt as if he had been electrocuted. He even felt something bump against his palm, startling him so much that he almost recoiled.

"He's moving?" Gu Yunting asked in surprise.

"I don't know!" Ye Wan's tone was not good, indicating her anger, yet she was still preparing breakfast for him.

Gu Yunting turned to look at her beautiful profile and then lowered his head to kiss her cheek.

"Get me the eggs!" Ye Wan glared at him angrily, but in his eyes, it held no deterrence and was instead incredibly endearing.

Gu Yunting truly felt he would give his life for her.

"You've been gone so long, the little tiger you raised misses you every day." Gu Yunting had originally intended to leave Gu Residence to Ye Wan, but she had left without taking anything.

As if to punish him, she hadn't taken a single thing that belonged to him.

Now, when he returned there and saw everything related to her, his heart felt particularly heavy.

"How is he?" Ye Wan also missed her little Orange, but she didn't want to return to that painful place.

"He eats and sleeps, he just likes to sit idly in your room. How about I send him to you?" Gu Yunting knew she genuinely loved that little tiger.

Ye Wan immediately nodded, "Can that work? Is it okay to keep a tiger in a house like this?"

"What do you think? It needs space to run, and how will you handle its waste disposal?"

Ye Wan found herself worrying about these issues as well.

"You can visit him occasionally," Gu Yunting suggested.

"I don't want to go back," Ye Wan shook her head.

"Sun Ma is gone too? That's quite ruthless?"

"Who told you I haven't seen Sun Ma? I've been in touch with her all along," Ye Wan shot him a glare.

"..."

Breakfast was ready, and the two sat at the dining table. Gu Yunting had lost weight, while Ye Wan had gained a considerable amount. After all, she was a pregnant woman and couldn't help but put on weight, but gaining weight had made her even more beautiful, possessing a gentle beauty that surpassed her thinner days.

"Can you answer me one question?" Ye Wan asked, looking at the man before her.

"Mm," Gu Yunting nodded.

"Are you really going to marry Yan Jiayi?" Ye Wan asked, looking at him very seriously.

"Probably not."

"What do you mean, 'probably'?"

"Then can you stay away from Yan Haojue?"

"He's like an elder to me. It's not what you think!"

"Even if it's not what you think, he's still a man, and he's a married man," Gu Yunting reminded her with a sigh.

He didn't know what the Yan father and son were up to, constantly bothering her. He couldn't afford to fall out with the Yan family yet, so the father and son hadn't done anything detrimental to Ye Wan, and he hadn't intervened.

"I'm his junior. Can you stop thinking those things?" Ye Wan glared at him somewhat angrily.

"It's not that I don't think about it, it's that others might. Even if they know it's not like that, they might still spread rumors. So, you'd better stay away from those who easily attract trouble," Gu Yunting advised patiently.

"I can't. I don't know why, but I have a good impression of Uncle Yan and Grandpa Yan. They are like elders to me, making me feel secure and giving me a sense of home. I am very grateful to them and enjoy spending time with them." Ye Wan knew this was inappropriate, but she craved kinship and a home so desperately.
