Chapter 1067 Why are you driving my mom?

Mianmian reluctantly called Auntie Li. Jiang Mi had initially wanted to send them away, but since they had already sat down, she couldn't bring herself to ask them to leave. She could only sit down first.

Jiang Jingxiu reordered the dishes. He looked at Jiang Mi and his daughter and asked, "Is there anything else you'd like to add?"

Mianmian shook her head unhappily, her mood clearly a bit low.

Even though she knew the auntie her father brought might not have any particular connection to him, she still felt unhappy.

Li Meng was a very talkative person. It was evident that she was well-bred and of high caliber, completely different from the women Jiang Jingxiu had dated before.

A woman like this would be the ideal wife, a true helper for the home.

When the dishes arrived, Jiang Jingxiu focused on helping Mianmian eat. He barely spoke to Jiang Mi, seeming to have his attention completely on Li Meng and his daughter.

Jiang Mi felt a stone lodged in her chest, a suffocating pressure.

"Mr. Jiang, you are so good to your daughter. The father of my future child must be a man like you, so my child can grow up happily," Li Meng said, looking at the man beside her with admiration and yearning.

"Of course, one must be good to his own child. Miss Li, you are so outstanding, you will surely find a suitable gentleman in the future, someone who will do better than I do," Jiang Jingxiu replied politely.

"I think Mr. Jiang is already excellent. There won't be anyone who can do better than Mr. Jiang," Zhao Meng's gaze towards Jiang Jingxiu was filled with infatuation.

"Miss Zhao is too kind," Jiang Jingxiu responded with a smile.

"Auntie Zhao, you definitely won't find someone like my dad to be your child's father, because my dad is one of a kind!" Mianmian said somewhat dejectedly.

"One can never be too sure," Zhao Meng smiled shyly and lowered her head to peel shrimp.

Even though Mianmian was young, she understood the implication behind the woman's words. She glared angrily at her father. Jiang Jingxiu merely smiled at her.

Mianmian was so annoyed that she refused to look at him or the other woman. She only looked at her mother. Jiang Mi peeled a shrimp and gave it to her daughter. Zhao Meng gave the shrimp she had peeled to Jiang Jingxiu.

"Thank you," Jiang Jingxiu politely thanked Zhao Meng.

"You're welcome. You take care of Mianmian, and I'll take care of you," Zhao Meng said, looking at the man beside her with affection.

"You eat too," Jiang Jingxiu offered Zhao Meng some dishes.

Zhao Meng smiled and ate.

Jiang Mianmian felt like overturning the table. What did her father mean? He was the one who asked her to invite her mother over, and now he was flirting with another woman at the table?

Seeing her daughter's unhappiness, Jiang Mi was also quite displeased. She said, "Mianmian, have you finished eating? If so, we'll leave now and won't disturb you and the auntie."

"I'm done, I was full long ago. Let's go," Mianmian said with a cold face, standing up, taking off her gloves, throwing them down, and walking away.

Jiang Mi followed quickly without saying goodbye. Jiang Jingxiu leaned back in his chair and watched the mother and daughter's retreating figures. He said, "The bill."

A waiter immediately came over to settle the bill.

Just as Jiang Mi was about to start the car to leave, Jiang Jingxiu opened the door and got in. He smiled and said, "My car broke down, I need a ride."

"Why didn't you take Auntie Zhao's car? Why are you taking Mom's car?" Mianmian immediately leaned over and asked angrily.

"It must be inconvenient for Auntie Zhao," Jiang Jingxiu explained with a smile, unbothered by his daughter's tone.
