Chapter 45 I Did Not Push Anyone

As the two returned, Lin Feiwei walked ahead and Ye Wan followed. When they were still five steps from the ground, Lin Feiwei suddenly seemed to be pushed by someone. She screamed and fell down the stairs.

Ye Wan was startled and watched Lin Feiwei fall down the stairs. She quickly went down to help her up.

"Ye Wan, how dare you push Miss Lin!" The butler immediately rushed over and shoved Ye Wan aside.

Ye Wan was suddenly pushed to the ground. The injured arm supporting her on the ground felt a tearing pain. The wound she had just had stitched up yesterday tore open again, and blood flowed down her sleeve.

Lin Feiwei had already been helped up by several people and returned to the living room to sit down. Only Sun Ma ran over to help Ye Wan up.

Everyone in the living room glared at Ye Wan hatefully, as if looking at an unforgivable sinner.

"Ye Wan, kneel down for me!" Madam Gu angrily slammed her hand on the armrest of her wheelchair.

"Auntie, I was careless. It has nothing to do with Ye Wan. Don't blame her." Lin Feiwei rubbed her sprained ankle and quickly pleaded for leniency.

"Who else could it be? I saw it clearly, Ye Wan pushed Miss Lin."

"Yes, I saw it too. Miss Lin, you are too kind. She is just jealous of you."

"I saw it too."

"..."

The maids chimed in with their testimonies, as if they had actually seen Ye Wan push someone.

Ye Wan didn't let Sun Ma help her. Sun Ma standing on her side now would only cause her trouble. She walked over and said calmly, "I didn't push anyone."

"You still dare to quibble!" Madam Gu angrily raised her hand and threw the teacup in front of her. The scorching hot tea splashed onto Ye Wan's head, scalding her pale face red and leaving tea leaves stuck to her hair, looking quite comical.

Ye Wan closed her eyes and insisted, "I didn't push her! I won't admit to anything I didn't do!"

If she didn't do it, she didn't do it. No matter what, she wouldn't admit it.

"Your mother killed my daughter and crippled me. You are even more venomous than her and want to harm my daughter-in-law! I will teach you a good lesson today!" Madam Gu finished speaking and immediately ordered someone to fetch a rattan stick.

"You two, hold her down and make her kneel. If she doesn't admit it, beat her until she does!" A malicious glint flashed in Madam Gu's eyes.

The two maids immediately stepped forward and roughly grabbed Ye Wan's arms. The butler kicked her behind the knees, forcing her to her knees. The thin and tough rattan whip fiercely lashed her back, tearing her clothes with the first strike and leaving a long bloodstain.

Ye Wan gritted her teeth and persisted, "I didn't push anyone!"

The two maids deliberately pinched the bloody wounds on her arms, causing her so much pain that she almost fainted, but she would not confess.

Sun Ma watched, extremely worried. She didn't dare to plead for her, so she quickly ran back to her room to call Gu Yunting.

"Young master, please come back quickly and save Ye Wan! Madam is beating her to death!"

...

Ye Wan didn't know how many times she had been beaten. Her consciousness was already blurred. She still insisted, "I didn't push anyone, I'm not a bad person."

In a daze, she seemed to be back ten years ago that night, when Madam jumped off the building with a baby in her arms. Everyone said she was a jinx, but she wasn't, she really wasn't...

Lin Feiwei watched Ye Wan's miserable state, a smug look flashing in her eyes. Whip her, whip her to death!
