Another delicate girl, as beautiful as a flower, arrived.
Ye Wan returned to her rented apartment in a daze. Ye Cheng was overjoyed to see his sister and ran to hug her. Seeing her pale face, he worriedly asked, "Sister, did someone bully you again?"
"No, I bought you a gift. See if you like it," Ye Wan composed herself and brought out the things she bought for her brother.
"Sister, I already have a lot of new clothes. Don't spend more money. Buy something for yourself too," Ye Cheng said unhappily.
"Sister bought a lot for herself. These two bags are mine. You don't have to worry about me neglecting myself," Ye Wan put aside the things she bought for herself.
Ye Cheng looked and saw that they were all things girls liked, which put his mind at ease.
To make his sister happy, Ye Cheng tried on all her new clothes.
Looking at her brother's handsome and adorable face, Ye Wan's heart softened. In fact, nothing had changed; she had become greedy. She used to only wish for her brother's illness to be cured, willing to give her life if necessary. Now that her brother was well and could grow up healthily, she actually wanted Gu Yunting's exclusive love?
No, Ye Wan, you must be clear-headed. This is simply impossible.
Ye Wan tidied up and decided to cook for her brother herself that noon. Aunt Zhang helped her.
Ye Wan's phone rang. She saw it was Gu Yunting calling. She didn't really want to answer, especially since he hadn't answered her calls for several days.
The phone quickly went silent, and he didn't call again.
Ye Wan made hand-pulled noodles. After they were all done, Aunt Zhang helped serve them to the table. Ye Wan took off her apron and came out to eat.
A knock sounded at the door. Aunt Zhang went to open it and saw Gu Yunting. She let him in, as she dared not offend this distinguished guest.
Ye Wan was surprised to see him. Wasn't he supposed to be shopping with his new girlfriend?
Ye Cheng was unhappy to see Gu Yunting. He didn't like this big guy; he felt he would steal his sister.
"Why are you here?" Ye Wan asked, frowning at him.
"I'm hungry, so I came to eat," Gu Yunting said and sat down, acting as if he belonged.
"I didn't make enough for you; it's only for three people," Ye Wan thought, why didn't you go eat a big meal with your girlfriend and come here to intrude?
"I'm not hungry yet. I just remembered I need to buy something. I'll go out for a bit," Aunt Zhang said and quickly left.
Ye Wan couldn't even call her back.
Ye Wan was speechless. She now suspected if this Aunt Zhang was hired by Lin Zehan or Gu Yunting.
"Looks good," Gu Yunting started mixing his noodles.
"Such thick skin!" Ye Cheng glared angrily at Gu Yunting, then sat down and quickly guarded his bowl of noodles, afraid this big guy wouldn't have enough and would steal his food.
These were the noodles his sister made for him; one bowl wasn't even enough.
Ye Wan didn't dwell on why he suddenly came to eat. She also sat down, first helping her brother mix his noodles, then mixing her own.
Gu Yunting really liked Ye Wan's noodles and ate them quickly. He was indeed hungry, having skipped breakfast until now.
"Is there any more?" Gu Yunting asked Ye Wan after finishing his bowl.
"No, if you want more, go buy some," Ye Wan replied indifferently, continuing to eat her noodles.
