Little Orange Seat seemed to be very afraid of Gu Yunting. After being thrown and rolling a few times, it ran away with miserable cries of "ao ao ao".
Ye Wan, "..."
"Then you still gave her such expensive things! Such a waste!" Ye Wan snorted coldly.
"Didn't you snatch it back? She didn't take a single thing with her? So it's not a waste." Gu Yunting reached out and held her hand. Spending that little money to get Ye Wan out of danger, he felt it was worth it.
Ye Wan, "..."
"Go lie down on the bed, I'll apply medicine for you." Ye Wan's mood had improved a little, but thinking that Gu Yunting would leave at any moment because of a phone call from Yan Jiayi, she doubted the sincerity of his words.
Gu Yunting got up, walked to the bedside, took off his shirt, and lay on the bed. Ye Wan came over and cut open the bandage. Seeing that the wound had stopped bleeding, she first wiped the medicine off the wound, reapplied ointment, and then bandaged it for him.
After finishing, Gu Yunting pulled her, and the unprepared Ye Wan fell into his arms. She immediately remembered, and Gu Yunting flipped over, pinning her beneath him.
"Be careful of your wound." Ye Wan was truly resigned to him. He was so seriously injured, yet still so wild.
"Ye Wan, do you like me?" Gu Yunting placed his hands on either side of Ye Wan's body, staring into her eyes and asking.
Hearing the question, a flicker of panic crossed Ye Wan's dark eyes. She quickly lowered her eyelashes, concealing her true emotions, and said, "No."
Gu Yunting did not expect her to answer so frankly. He reached out and pinched her chin, commanding, "Look at me!"
Ye Wan had no choice but to lift her eyelashes to look at him, her lips pressed together.
"You really don't like me?" Gu Yunting didn't believe that Ye Wan didn't like him at all. He thought that at least when she was young, she had liked him, but later events had driven them further apart.
"I don't dare to like you... there's a life between us. How can I dare to like you?" Ye Wan closed her eyes and spoke the deepest words buried in her heart.
How could she not like him?
She had been abused by her mother since birth, living in a dark and hopeless life every day. Until he appeared, he was a light in her dark world, illuminating her entire life.
Hearing her words, Gu Yunting's heart ached slightly. He lowered his head, kissed her lips, and murmured in a low voice, "That wasn't your fault. Don't carry it anymore."
Ye Wan was stunned. Feeling his kiss deepen, tears rolled down from the corners of her eyes. She closed her eyes and, for the first time, reached out to hug him.
After a night of intimacy, the heavy stone in Ye Wan's heart seemed to have been lifted by his words last night. She now realized that all she had been waiting for was Gu Yunting's words.
When Ye Wan woke up, Gu Yunting was still asleep. She felt an indescribable sense of relief. She carefully turned over and looked at the sleeping man. She raised her finger and gently traced his eyebrows, his nose, his lips, and his well-defined jawline.
The man suddenly raised his hand and grabbed hers. Ye Wan tried to pull back, but her hand was held tightly. Gu Yunting slowly opened his eyes and asked in a hoarse voice, "Had enough playing?"
"Did I wake you up? Why don't you go back to sleep." Ye Wan blinked her eyes, her voice soft and sweet.
"Get up for breakfast. I have to go out for a while." Gu Yunting released her hand and cupped the back of her head, giving her a good morning kiss.
