As she passed a doorway, a hand reached out and pulled her in. Ye Wan cried out in fright. When she smelled a familiar scent, she looked up and met a pair of icy eyes.
Gu Yunting's hand slid from her back, all the way down to her buttocks.
Ye Wan's cheeks instantly flushed. Angrily, she pushed him, "Get away from me!"
Previously, Ye Wan couldn't move him, but today Gu Yunting was actually pushed away by her. He clutched his chest and coughed, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
Ye Wan was startled, her heart tightening. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Change your clothes." Gu Yunting wiped the blood from his lips nonchalantly and pointed to the clothes nearby.
"What's wrong with my clothes? I think they're perfectly fine!" Ye Wan's heart clenched slightly. She looked at the man opposite her with displeasure.
"Perfectly fine? You didn't want me to touch you just now," Gu Yunting stared at her with a cold face, questioning her.
"You... you... you touched a place you shouldn't have, of course I didn't want you to." Ye Wan wanted to ask if he was injured, but looking at his fierce demeanor, she felt she was meddling.
Even if he was injured, there were plenty of people who cared about him; it wasn't her turn.
"If you don't change, I don't mind helping you." Gu Yunting was clearly impatient. He grabbed Ye Wan and pulled her inside, intending to tear off her eye-catching, lustrous gown.
"I'll do it myself. Don't break it, this dress is very expensive." Ye Wan quickly stopped him.
She was a little angry and helpless. Forget it, why argue with him? She wasn't his match anyway. It was better to avoid immediate trouble.
Ye Wan intended to undress herself. She reached behind and unzipped the dress. Gu Yunting looked at the woman's slender waist, and below it, her round, perky buttocks. Just a glance would incite sinful thoughts. He strode over and with a forceful tug, her expensive gown was torn in half.
Ye Wan was almost brought to tears by anger. She turned back furiously, "Are you sick? Why did you tear it? I told you I would change!"
As she spoke, her hand hit his chest. Gu Yunting grunted, enduring the pain in his chest, and said, "Hurry up and change!"
He turned away, his chest wound almost splitting open from her blow.
Ye Wan: ...
She quickly changed into the long dress Gu Yunting had prepared. Once on, Ye Wan felt utterly defeated. The dress was a dull yellow, paired with a black belt, making it as dowdy as could be. It covered her from neck to ankle, leaving only her head, hands, and feet exposed.
If not for Ye Wan's stunning face, this outfit would have been a disaster on anyone else!
"Satisfied?" Ye Wan glared at him angrily, turned, and left.
As she walked out, she almost bumped into Jin Lan. Jin Lan saw Ye Wan and her eyes widened in surprise. "Why are you here?"
"Why can't I be here? This banquet isn't owned by just your two families," Ye Wan said indignantly and walked away.
Jin Lan hurried inside and said, "It's too dangerous here. I'll have someone escort her away now."
"No, if you let her leave now, she'll only be in more danger." Gu Yunting coughed lightly, and blood flowed from the corner of his mouth again.
"Damn it, why are you coughing blood again? Has your wound split open again! I told you you need to rest and not get angry. Did you forget what you promised me!" Jin Lan was almost driven mad by him. He quickly fumbled in his pocket, took out a small box, and poured two pills for him to take.
