He put down his chopsticks with a sense of lingering dissatisfaction, his heart full of reluctance. Gu Yunting raised his hand and rubbed his slightly throbbing forehead, feeling as if he was about to be driven mad by that little girl!
But he couldn't forgive her so quickly, not because of the gift, but because she had attempted suicide. He had to make her understand the seriousness of the matter.
At eight in the evening, Gu Yunting finished all his work and prepared to leave. The secretaries had already left, and he was almost always the last person to leave the company.
As he walked out, he saw a slender figure lying on the guest sofa in the distance. Gu Yunting frowned. Ye Wan hadn't left yet? She... was waiting for him to get off work?
Gu Yunting walked over and looked down at the girl who had fallen asleep waiting there. The weather was getting a bit cold, and Ye Wan was curled up slightly, her arms wrapped around herself. Gu Yunting slowly squatted down, carefully reached out, and gently pulled open the collar of her sweater. The wound, hidden beneath, was revealed, looking a little frightening with its redness.

Ye Wan opened her eyes and saw two long legs. Looking further up, she saw Gu Yunting's expressionless handsome face. She immediately sat up, awkwardly touching her lips, afraid she had drooled.
"You're off work. I got bored waiting for you and accidentally fell asleep," Ye Wan explained with an awkward blink.
Gu Yunting ignored her and turned to leave. Ye Wan quickly got up and followed him. He walked fast, so she could only jog to keep up. When they reached the elevator, Gu Yunting stopped, and Ye Wan, unable to stop herself, bumped into him.
Ye Wan retreated two steps awkwardly. The elevator door opened, and Gu Yunting, with a dark expression, walked in first. Ye Wan followed, softly saying, "I'm sorry."
Gu Yunting still didn't acknowledge her. Ye Wan could only lower her head and stand to the side, forcing herself to continue. No one knew how much she wanted to turn around and leave, never speaking to this man again.
But thinking of Jin Lan's words, she held back.
The elevator door opened, and Gu Yunting stepped out first. Ye Wan followed him, not daring to get too close this time. The security guard greeted her, "Young lady, you finally waited for Mr. Gu."
Ye Wan smiled and waved at the security guard. Gu Yunting frowned, glanced back at Ye Wan, and got into the car first. Ye Wan also quickly got into the car.
The security guard was stunned. He had never seen a woman ride in the CEO's car before!
Gu Yunting thought about the security guard's words. Had she come to the company to wait for him before?
However, he didn't ask. He closed his eyes to rest. He was tired after a day of work, especially since today, for some reason, his head was throbbing with a dull pain.
Ye Wan noticed his discomfort and said, "Do you have a headache? Shall I give you a massage?"

Ye Wan immediately shook her head. "I don't want anything."
