Chapter 236 This Will Truly Be a Good Show

"Ye Wan, you should go back and rest. I'll handle these things," Sun Ma urged, pushing her gently.

Ye Wan first returned to her room to put her things away, then came back out to help Sun Ma with the tasks. No matter how much Sun Ma told her to leave, she refused, and eventually, they both went out to pull weeds together.

Sun Ma felt heartbroken, but Ye Wan felt even more distressed for Sun Ma, who had lost her position as housekeeper because of her.

When it was time for lunch, Ling Fei Fei still wouldn't let Ye Wan and Sun Ma eat. Ye Wan pulled Sun Ma back to her room, telling her to wash her face and rest. She then took out two bowls of instant noodles from the cupboard. Since they weren't allowed to eat properly, they would have to make do with instant noodles for now.

"Ye Wan, you should quickly apply some aloe vera gel too. It helps with sunburns," Sun Ma said, applying it to herself and then offering it to Ye Wan. She knew Ye Wan's skin was even more delicate and would likely burn more easily.

Ye Wan's face was indeed red from the sun. After applying a layer, she rummaged through a cupboard and found a mobile phone. Sun Ma, curious, asked what she was doing. Ye Wan handed her two sausages and told her to go and prepare the noodles.

Sun Ma took the items and obediently went to make the noodles, muttering something under her breath.

Ye Wan opened her phone and performed several operations. She extracted several intimate videos of Gu Yun Ting and Lin Fei Wei from the Gu residence's surveillance system and sent them to Lin Fei Wei's phone. After she finished, she immediately removed the SIM card and turned off the phone.

Sun Ma returned with two bowls of instant noodles and placed them on the table. Ye Wan then pulled Sun Ma over to examine her face. Sun Ma's sunburn was quite severe, and simply applying aloe vera gel wouldn't be enough. It could at best alleviate the burning pain; for a sunburn of her severity, professional medication was required.

"I'm fine, you don't need to worry about me. If the young master is still infatuated with that vixen, I can just quit," Sun Ma said, wanting to ease Ye Wan's concerns. She held Ye Wan's hand, adding, "I'm just worried about you, I can't rest easy about you."

Ye Wan clasped Sun Ma's hand back. "Why would you quit? You've been here for over twenty years, and you've always done a good job. You're a very competent housekeeper, you can't just leave like this."

"You're right, I won't leave." Sun Ma had been contemplating resignation recently, but she couldn't bring herself to do it because she was worried about Ye Wan. If she left, Ye Wan would be even more isolated and helpless in the Gu residence.

"Eat your noodles. We'll find a way," Ye Wan said, handing a bowl of noodles to Sun Ma.

"Are you sure you can eat this? Will it be okay for your throat?" Sun Ma asked worriedly.

"My throat is fine," Ye Wan replied. In reality, the wound on her throat was starting to feel a bit itchy, likely from sweat dripping onto it. She couldn't let Sun Ma worry.

Sun Ma sighed helplessly, finished her noodles, and after tidying up, she mentioned wanting to go back to her room to rest for a while. However, Ling Fei Fei wouldn't let them off the hook, ordering them to continue weeding.

While weeding, Ye Wan sent a message to Lin Ze Han, asking him to help buy a tube of medication and deliver it. Lin Ze Han was out of town at the moment, but upon receiving Ye Wan's text, he immediately arranged for someone to handle it.

Less than an hour later, the ointment arrived.

Along with it came someone else – Lin Fei Wei.

As Lin Fei Wei entered the villa, Ye Wan took Sun Ma and secretly returned to her room. She applied the medication to Sun Ma's face, and Sun Ma felt a cool, soothing sensation.

Ye Wan also applied a layer herself, then pulled Sun Ma out of the room. They hid in a spot where they wouldn't be easily discovered but could still observe the living room, preparing to watch the drama unfold.

Sun Ma was utterly astonished when she saw Lin Fei Wei. Then it dawned on her: Lin Fei Wei was now the rightful fiancée of the Gu family, and Ling Fei Fei was currently favored. A clash between these two titans was bound to be an interesting spectacle.

But how did Ye Wan seem to know everything?
