Chapter 311 Let You Stab Back Then

"Aren't you worried about what will happen to Ting Ge?" Jin Lan asked, frowning at her.

Ye Wan opened her mouth, but remained silent. Seeing her like this, Jin Lan couldn't bear to torment her any further. He explained, "The wound isn't deep, it's not life-threatening. Ting Ge was lucky this time. If there's a next time, he might not be so fortunate."

Ye Wan breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. She had been so angry then, her mind was completely blank. It wasn't until she saw the blood that she realized what she had done.

After Gu Yun Ting woke up, he immediately looked for Ye Wan. Not finding her, he frowned. He got up, pulled out the needle from his hand, and prepared to get out of bed.

Ye Wan, emerging from the restroom, saw this and rushed over, saying, "Why did you pull out the needle? You have to finish the medication!"

Gu Yun Ting looked at her with a pale face. Ye Wan felt a pang of guilt. She hardened her heart, took out a knife from her clothes, and said, "If you're angry, just stab me back."

Gu Yun Ting reached out and snatched the dagger from Ye Wan's hand. Ye Wan immediately closed her eyes, assuming a look of fearless resignation, awaiting his retaliatory stab.

A sound of something slicing through the air echoed. Ye Wan felt a chill brush past her ear. She abruptly opened her eyes. The dagger in the man's hand was gone. She immediately turned to look and saw that the dagger had been plunged into the wall of the ward.

Ye Wan anxiously looked at Gu Yun Ting.

"We're even," Gu Yun Ting said coldly, looking at her.

Ye Wan: "..."

"Go call Jin Lan over!" Gu Yun Ting said, then turned and lay back on the hospital bed.

Ye Wan took two seconds to react, then immediately turned and ran out to find Jin Lan.

Jin Lan reinserted the needle for Gu Yun Ting, the liquid slowly flowing into his body through the transparent tube.

"Ye Wan, tomorrow is your birthday. Do you have any gifts you want? I'll get them for you. If you don't want a gift, I can give you cash instead." Jin Lan, knowing from their atmosphere that things were probably fine, spoke much more casually.

"No need... I don't want gifts. I'll go back to the Lin family to celebrate my birthday." Ye Wan kept glancing at Gu Yun Ting as she spoke, unsure of his attitude once he knew what she had done.

"Is the Lin family preparing a birthday party for you? Can I attend?" Jin Lan asked Ye Wan, adjusting the speed of the IV drip.

Ye Wan looked at Gu Yun Ting again. Seeing no reaction from him, she nodded, "Of course, that would be great."

"Then tell me, what gift do you want? I can't go empty-handed. If I buy something randomly, you might not use it, so don't be polite with me," Jin Lan asked her earnestly.

"Um, can I have a computer? Not an expensive one, just a cheap one is fine." Ye Wan found it inconvenient for her studies without a computer, making her much slower than others.

"Sure, no problem. Then I'll get you a computer," Jin Lan agreed with a smile. He looked at Gu Yun Ting.

Gu Yun Ting ignored him and closed his eyes to rest. He wasn't made of iron. After suffering internal injuries and being stabbed, he couldn't be as energetic.

As for the birthday gift, he had already prepared it.

Wanted a laptop? Such a simple request, yet so hesitant. It was too embarrassing for him.

In the evening, Gu Yun Ting prepared to return to the Gu residence. Jin Lan, worried about his injury, advised him, "You should stay in the hospital for a few days. Why are you in such a hurry to go back?"

Gu Yun Ting gave him a faint look, then stood up and said, "Let's go, we're going back."
