Chapter 337 The Only One Who Can Control Me Is My Wife

"Say whatever you want to say. Don't beat around the bush with me," Fu Huaishen said, placing a piece of fish into her bowl.

"Let's eat first, and then we can talk after," Ye Wan used to reject people straightforwardly, but looking at the man in front of her, she suddenly felt that what she was about to say might be cruel. She decided to wait until after the meal.

Fu Huaishen didn't insist and started eating.

After the meal, Ye Wan said, "Fu Huaishen, I'm truly grateful for your help. I won't agree to be with you, so please don't come around anymore."

Fu Huaishen's breath hitched. Even though he had prepared himself for her rejection, his heart still ached uncontrollably.

"You think I'll stop coming just because you tell me to? Wouldn't that make me lose face?" Fu Huaishen endured the pain in his chest, putting on a nonchalant, carefree expression, as if his heart wasn't hurt by her words at all.

"Fu Huaishen!" Ye Wan looked at him with helplessness, her eyes filled with a complaint about his shamelessness.

"You can't control me. If you really want to control me, then marry me. The only one who can control me is my wife!" Fu Huaishen acted unreasonably.

Ye Wan was speechless.

Gu Yunting personally came to pick up Ye Wan. From afar, he saw Fu Huaishen hovering around Ye Wan, and his expression quickly turned cold.

When Ye Wan saw Gu Yunting, she instinctively shifted to the side, moving away from Fu Huaishen, afraid Gu Yunting would misunderstand again.

Fu Huaishen was stunned.

Gu Yunting was pleased by her small action, and his expression softened slightly.

Fu Huaishen found Gu Yunting particularly displeasing at that moment. He said to Ye Wan, "I'll take my leave now. I'll come back to keep you company tomorrow."

"Don't come tomorrow. Be careful on your way back," Ye Wan couldn't help but caution him.

Gu Yunting's expression soured again upon hearing this. As Fu Huaishen passed by Gu Yunting, he deliberately gave him a provocative smile. Gu Yunting ignored him.

Gu Yunting rejected Ye Wan's request to stay overnight with her brother, taking her back to the Gu residence. He arranged for people to guard Ye Cheng.

In the car, Gu Yunting pulled Ye Wan into his embrace. There was a weariness in his eyes and a faint stubble on his chin, indicating he was very tired.

"If you're busy, you don't have to come to the hospital to pick me up. I can go back myself," Ye Wan said, feeling a pang of sympathy seeing his state.

"If I didn't come, would you go back?" Gu Yunting's voice was a little hoarse.

Ye Wan was speechless.

She hadn't planned on going back tonight, especially since her brother had just had surgery.

"Have you fallen for Fu Huaishen?" Gu Yunting gripped her chin and questioned her.

Ye Wan immediately shook her head. "No!"

"You'd better not fall for him, or I won't let him off, nor will I let you off!"

Gu Yunting was feeling quite agitated. As a man, he could see that Fu Huaishen genuinely liked her and had done so much for her. Given Ye Wan's personality, even if she didn't like him now, she would surely feel differently towards him.

Just as Ye Wan was about to say he was being unreasonable, her mouth was sealed by his. He only released her when her eyes were teary from the kiss.

After returning, Ye Wan watched Gu Yunting take his medicine. After taking the medicine, they both fell asleep. Ye Wan was tired from the whole day, and Gu Yunting had been exhausted for two days and a night. They embraced each other and drifted into a deep sleep.

The next day, Ye Wan woke up relatively early. The man holding her was still asleep. Ye Wan turned to look at the man beside her. There were faint dark circles under his eyes, and his breathing was even and deep. He was likely still asleep from exhaustion.
