Chapter 87 I'll Take One Down With Me Before I Die

"I'm not dawdling!" Ye Wan felt extremely wronged. She had gotten up and come up immediately after the butler called her.

"Tasting the poison." Gu Yunting didn't say any more. He picked up his chopsticks and gestured for her to sit and eat with him.

Ye Wan, "..."

She sat down, picked up her chopsticks, took a bite from each dish, and after swallowing, said, "If you're really afraid of being poisoned to death, you should switch to silver plates, and then you wouldn't have to be so troublesome."

"Do you think everyone is as stupid as you?" Gu Yunting finally started eating. He gestured for her to drink the chicken soup.

Ye Wan was a little angry. Although she wasn't particularly smart, she was definitely not bad. She got into university on her own, and her hacking skills were self-taught. How was she stupid?

She huffily scooped a bowl of soup and drank it all. Chicken soup was very nourishing, and the Gu family liked to add ginseng to it, the kind that was over three hundred years old. Drinking a bowl could restore several days' worth of energy.

"Why do you call me stupid?" Ye Wan asked indignantly.

Gu Yunting looked at the girl puffed up with anger and found it amusing. "Do you think this is ancient times? Modern poisons can no longer be detected with silver. You can only test them on people."

"That means you're stupid too! Modern poisons might not take effect immediately! They might act up an hour later, or even three days later!" Ye Wan said indignantly and picked up her chopsticks to continue eating. She was hungry anyway.

"Well, that's why I'll pull someone down with me before I die," Gu Yunting replied calmly.

Ye Wan, "..."

Perhaps she had vomited too much earlier, but Ye Wan felt incredibly hungry now. She couldn't stop eating. In the end, Gu Yunting simply put down his chopsticks and watched her eat. Ye Wan finished a pot of chicken soup, all the dishes, and a bowl of rice.

"Full?" Gu Yunting truly didn't expect Ye Wan to eat so much. He looked at her stomach, which was indeed bulging.

Would it be bad for her body to exercise after eating so much?

"Not bad." Ye Wan felt very comfortable after this meal. She had felt awful earlier when she had vomited bile.

"Go take a bath." Gu Yunting called to have the dishes cleared away.

"I'm sleepy, I want to sleep." Ye Wan was truly sleepy. After eating and drinking her fill, her eyes were already struggling to stay open.

"Do you want me to help you wash up?" Gu Yunting wanted her tonight, and being gentle for a while was his limit.

"I'll wash myself." Ye Wan absolutely didn't want him to help her wash. Every time he helped her, she couldn't escape his clutches!

After bathing, Gu Yunting carried her to bed. He lowered his head and kissed her forehead, his lips tracing down her nose and lingering on her lips...

"Can you turn off the light?" Ye Wan suggested.

"So many demands!" Gu Yunting said verbally, but he still raised his hand and turned off the light.

The room went dark, and Ye Wan relaxed considerably. She disliked the lights being on; it made her feel unbearably shy.

At the beginning, Gu Yunting could still control himself and was relatively gentle. But not long after, he lost control and let himself go completely.

Ye Wan had to hold back her urge to vomit all over the bed!

...

The next day, Ye Wan woke up at noon. The only feeling she had upon waking was hunger, extreme hunger. She felt like she could eat a cow.

Nanny Sun heard the sound and walked in. Ye Wan sat up and said uncomfortably, "Nanny Sun, I'm hungry. Is there any food?"

"Little Wan, Madam is here. Hurry down." Nanny Sun looked at her nervously.
