Chapter 130 Something Seems to Have Happened

After some inquiries, Ye Wan found the donor, an ordinary college student who looked refined and wore glasses. He was very surprised when he saw the beautiful girl looking for him.

"Classmate, what do you need me for?" the boy asked, pushing up his glasses nervously.

"My name is Ye Wan. Can I talk to you?" Ye Wan introduced herself. This wasn't a place to talk, and she wanted to find somewhere else to discuss donating bone marrow to her brother.

"I don't know you. I have nothing to talk about," the boy turned and walked away.

"It's very important. Please, just the time for a cup of coffee," Ye Wan couldn't let him leave and chased after him, begging.

But no matter how she pleaded, it was useless. The boy walked faster and faster, disappearing into the crowd in no time. Ye Wan, rushing too eagerly, tripped and fell to the ground. Her hand landed on a piece of broken glass, but she felt no pain, her eyes anxiously scanning ahead, still looking for the boy.

"Classmate, are you alright?" Two girls quickly walked over and helped her up. Seeing her bleeding hand, they said, "You're bleeding. You need to go to the hospital to get it treated immediately."

"There might be broken glass in it. It needs to be removed first," the two girls looked at her with concern.

Ye Wan finally noticed her bleeding hand. She glanced at it and continued searching for the boy, but he was long gone. "Thank you, I'm fine."

She turned and walked back, still very anxious. Why had he registered but now refused to donate bone marrow to her brother? No, her brother's blood type was rare, and she had finally found a match. She couldn't give up now.

Ye Wan found a clinic to treat her hand. The doctor picked out the glass shards embedded in her flesh, but her expression didn't change. After it was bandaged, Ye Wan paid and left the clinic. The doctor suspected the girl might have no pain receptors.

Jiang Jingxiu had also given her the boy's phone number. She called him directly. He answered, and Ye Wan quickly explained her purpose.

"Hello, classmate. My brother has leukemia and needs you to save him. You registered as a donor before, so why have you changed your mind? If you have any requests, please tell me. I'll do anything I can to help, as long as it's within my power. Please, can you save my brother?" Ye Wan blurted out everything she needed to say in one breath.

"I can't help you! And don't look for me again. If you bother me again, I'll call the police for harassment," the boy said and hung up.

Ye Wan was utterly confused. Since he had registered, why did he suddenly go back on his word? What was the reason behind this?

Her phone rang. It was Jiang Jingxiu calling. She answered, "Young Master Jiang?"

"Ye Wan, I just found out some information about the boy you were looking for. He had a physical examination recently and was diagnosed with AIDS," Jiang Jingxiu quickly shared the news with her.

Hearing this, Ye Wan felt as if she had been struck by lightning. An AIDS patient cannot donate bone marrow. In that instant, all her strength drained away. She immediately squatted down on the ground. The transition from hope to despair was too overwhelming, and her head began to spin.

"Ye Wan, are you listening? Are you alright?" Jiang Jingxiu asked worriedly when she remained silent.

"I… I'm listening. Young Master Jiang, thank you for telling me this. I… *muffled sound*…"

"Hello? Ye Wan? Hello? Ye Wan?" Seeing that there was no response from the other end, Jiang Jingxiu felt something was wrong. He immediately hung up Ye Wan's call and dialed Gu Yunting. "Gu Yunting, I think something might have happened to Ye Wan."
