Chapter 41: Sacred Dew Drop

Chapter 41: Sacred Dew Drop

Milky gold essence brewed from the depths of the attribute star, flowing with the fluidity of honey and the torrent force of an unstoppable river.

In reality, the once azure-blue ether haze coating Roy as he made impossible movements gradually began morphing, undulating, becoming something more. The milky gold slowly overcame the blue, and the viscous-like force flowed through his body faster, more efficiently, and most of all, the augmentation effects went through the roof.

This was the Mutant Ether Genesis...

Boom!

A fist coated in the flowing Genesis force rammed into the snake head of lightning, instantly shaving off a good chunk of meat, scales, and bone.

Roy’s eyes still remained unfocused, staring into the void like he was in a daze — his soul lost — but his movements and actions said anything but.

Hisssssss!

The battered head writhed, and the last head revealed its ability. Its scales ignited with a verdant green cadence as it breathed an emerald mist from its maw, carrying the scent of lush fauna and fertility. Wherever the mist washed became whole.

The serpent boss heads quickly rearranged in alignment, all twelve slits swerving at sonic speeds, staying in tune with Roy’s movements. Reality dawned on it — this prey wasn’t as easy as it thought.

It was about time it started getting serious. It couldn’t let down its overlord. It couldn’t let down itself!

Tatatatatatata!

Clattering sounds broke out from its figure, as all scales all over the massive behemoth stood on end, revealing the crimson skin beneath, which immediately began writhing.

Its body cramped as it began to morph. Slowly, it became smaller, its scales bulging harder, its heads a lot looser than previously — though the deathly chill of its presence became more fierce.

With a slimmer build and shorter length, all six heads began forcefully intertwining, clamping together as though forcing itself to become one.

Whoosh!

Just at this moment, Roy’s steaming figure flew in from nowhere, his heels raised up high. At this moment, his consciousness was already submerged deep into the star representing Martial Arts (SSS), and his concept of bodily combat was already being pushed beyond barriers.

Deep from his soul, his azure crystal gaze pierced through from the depths of the star to his eyes as they simmered with conviction.

With adept control, he pivoted his hips and used every cell of muscle in his body to channel one devastating kick!

Puchi! Crack!

His attack wasn’t without intention. Even if the boss monster had shrieked, compared to a human it still towered, so his kick could only attack one head of the monster — which was why he chose now as the most suitable time to strike.

His heel dug mercilessly through reinforced scales, meat, and bone, almost reaching the brain matter even before rebound kicked in...

Screeeeeee!

An unnatural brutal roar — like the scratching of glass shards on metal — echoed from all five mouths of the pained monster.

Though Roy’s attack didn’t kill it, it caused pain like never before to the monster. He never planned on killing it — he knew his limits clearer than ever. All he needed was one second of blackout the attack might be able to buy.

And indeed, the attacked head’s pupils faded, dimming out of consciousness — and with it, its hold on the power of Blocking!

With a fervent gaze, Roy’s consciousness surged out of the star with glee as he felt his connection with his inventory once more. And no, he didn’t waste time summoning weapons that would be restricted once the beast regained hold of the power. Instead, a sparkling crystal-clear dew drop appeared mid-air, emitting an intoxicating aroma of richness and ripeness.

Not wasting any time, his mouth opened and clamped it in without waiting for gravity to do its work. And the moment the crystalline dew graced his tongue...

A cool, raging torrent flooded his body as he began feeling bloated all of a sudden. And deep in the soul space, his consciousness wasn’t spared from the evolutionary effects either, as his awareness waned. Thankfully, the damage he had dealt to the boss monster slowed its own transformation too, so he had time to try to regain control of his body while enduring the torrent of essence flooding his soul.

His hair bristled, thick pigmented beads of sweat were secreted from his pores. His eyes unfocused, denying him the chance of seeing the rapid influx of notifications.

A rapid flow of screens popped up, but he remained ignorant of them, as he withstood the seemingly endless torrent of essence energy.

Both man and beast squirmed. Within their systems, something miraculous was taking place. But regardless, they were both in a race to regain combat ability first.

The boss monster ignored the profusely bleeding head with a gaping opening revealing some of its brain, as all heads remained tightly intertwined, compressing together, slowly merging — slowly becoming one.

Faint signs of eye openings could be seen at the two edges of the tightly fusing heads. Its tail writhed as both the pain from reconstructing its being and the pain that came with the fatal damage Roy dealt poured in waves.

Crackle!

A violent bone lock rang out, as the last bone was set in place and the majestic figure of the now-transformed beast came into light.

Flood Dragon! That was the only name that fit the transformed monster. Four small scaled claws newly sprouted from its belly, a furry purple-violet mane bristled furiously in the wind with matching beards and whiskers, its scales now multicolored and with dreamy multicolored eyes.

The monster didn’t waste any time basking in its new divine appearance, as it swirled in the air for a bit before violently lunging for Roy — as though the enhancements weren’t enough, it could also fly!

Thankfully, not only was the beast done — Roy was also.

[Congratulations! Host has converged all physical stats into the Legendary Attribute: Martial Point!]
