Chapter 4 Bought Mad

"No problem, three days, delivered to the designated location for sure!"

The entire market was going crazy.

They didn't have such large quantities in their warehouses and immediately called all their contacts to source more goods.

After An Nuan finished with the staples and dried goods, she headed to the condiment market and spotted a friendly-looking middle-aged female stall owner.

She walked in and saw that the stall had quite a complete selection.

"Boss, peanut oil, rapeseed oil, camellia oil, olive oil, 10 tons of each. Granulated sugar, white rock sugar, yellow rock sugar, 500 catties each. And then 1000 catties of brown sugar, my best friend needs it every month."

For all the remaining condiments and dried goods, An Nuan ordered by the case, 500 cases of each type.

But for edible salt, she ordered 50,000 cases!

Salt and apples were treasures in the apocalypse.

One was a necessity, the other a luxury.

They were more valuable than currency then, not only able to make others fight to the death but also to drive people mad.

The iodized salt An Nuan prepared was for herself and Luoluo, while the rest was for social interactions.

The female stall owner was stunned.

She frantically called her husband, and after they both reviewed the list, two more bewildered faces appeared.

The male stall owner kindly reminded her, "Miss, with so many goods, you could open a supermarket!"

"Yes, I am thinking of opening a supermarket!"

An Nuan casually brushed it off.

She looked at the prices on the list and transferred half the money to the owner's account, asking them to deliver the goods to her home within the specified time.

The couple didn't stop her.

After all, who would refuse money?

This order alone would allow them to buy a house in the city center next month.

An Nuan paid and was about to move on when she happened to see pickled vegetables.

In the apocalypse, pickled vegetables were also treasures.

A stale, stinky steamed bun with a bite of pickled vegetables was heavenly.

Although she didn't want to eat stinky buns, An Nuan cherished days with pickled vegetables.

Driven by her fondness for pickled vegetables, An Nuan rushed in and started ordering.

Fermented bean curd, preserved mustard, pickled string beans, pickled radishes – these were all An Nuan's favorites, 1000 cases of each.

500 cases of soybean paste, 1000 cases of cooking sauce, 1000 cases of sauce for mixing with rice.

An Nuan calculated, "Enough for cooking and eating with rice. If I can't cook... Boss, where do you sell instant noodles?"

The owner got his electric tricycle and invited An Nuan to sit on it.

It took five minutes to take her to the snack section.

Various kinds of instant noodles were displayed on the shelves. Except for the pickled cabbage flavor, she took all other flavors and brands.

Spicy strips, chocolate, potato chips, sunflower seeds, fruit candies...

She ordered all the snacks she could see, but conspicuously excluded compressed biscuits.

In her past life, she was given half a compressed biscuit every two days, and the taste still lingered in her mind. She would never touch them again!

Then she bought out all the ice cream.

She loved the classic flavor of Chocollazy, ordering 200 boxes, and 300 boxes of old ice pops.

An Nuan had died during the initial stage of the apocalypse before. She didn't know if these things would last until the end.

Luoluo ate so many snacks; she couldn't possibly buy too few!

An Nuan thought, "Boss, add another three hundred boxes of each item."

The owners blinked, almost biting their tongues!

"God, we've met a god today!"

An Nuan paid and glanced at her account balance, frowning slightly.

"Why is there still so much!"

9.8 billion, how long would it take to spend all this!

An Nuan was unhappy, very unhappy.

Her face was long and drawn when she was buying fruit. Seeing the apples, her face almost turned black.

Apples were luxury items in the apocalypse; they had to be stocked up!

But seeing them reminded An Nuan of fighting with others for half a rotten apple and having her cheekbone broken.

The past was unbearable to recall.

This time, she wanted 1000 tons, and whoever she didn't like, she would hit them with an apple!

An Nuan called the owner, "1000 tons of apples."

"Pears, bananas, grapes, cantaloupe, oranges, Chinese dates, cherries, 1000 catties each. Yellow peaches 2000 catties, nectarines 3000 catties. Watermelons, 5 tons, make sure they're sweet! Once the durians are weighed, take them out of their shells and give me only the flesh, 1000 catties. Name your price for the labor fee, and I'll pay you."

The shells were too troublesome. She would have to deal with them herself after taking them back. It was better to have them processed and delivered.

After all, she had nothing but money!

It was a shame there were no sugarcane this season, otherwise, she would have bought a thousand tons.

An Nuan was lamenting internally when the owner approached her with a dumbfounded expression, "Miss, what do you need so much for? You can't possibly eat it all."

"I'm fertilizing my fields."

"Ah?"

The fruit shop owner also looked at her blankly.

An Nuan didn't have time to explain to the owners; no one would believe her anyway.

It was almost noon, and An Nuan was tired and hungry.

It was also hot inside the market.

Sweat dripped down her head, soaking her front and back.

"Meow~~"

Juanzi let out an unhappy meow.

"Okay, no more market browsing. We'll go to the mall! It'll be expensive, but we have plenty of money!"

An Nuan drove to the mall.

She first ordered three portions of beef rice, almost making herself sick, and then, with her stomach about to burst, she went to the tobacco and alcohol counter.

In the apocalypse, salt and apples were hard currency, while tobacco and alcohol were soft currency.

Sometimes, a carton of cigarettes could hire a squad of mercenaries.

She didn't buy the cheapest, only the most expensive. 32 million bought out all the tobacco and alcohol in the mall, immediately upgrading her to SSSS VIP status.

The mall CEO personally attended to her.

"Ms. An, we'll arrange for the tobacco and alcohol to be delivered to your residence immediately. Do you need to browse further?"

"Yes, I need to buy clothes. Take me to the sports and outdoor equipment section first."

An Nuan didn't want skirts, as they were inconvenient to move in.

Nor did she want jeans, as they were too tight and restrictive.

She first bought 1000 pairs of athletic pants and 1000 pairs of cargo pants, which were comfortable and durable.

1000 outdoor jackets, 500 backpacks, 200 climbing ropes, 100 pieces of various outdoor equipment, 20 inflatable boats, and five boxes of lithium batteries.

In the apocalypse, quick action was crucial, and shoes were also vital.

High heels were useless decorations, while sneakers were the way to go!

Luoluo's feet were the same size as hers, both size 38.

An Nuan first bought 100 pairs of air-cushioned shoes, then 100 pairs of UGG boots, and 100 pairs of waterproof outdoor high-top hiking boots. Finally, she took two pairs each of men's size 42 in every style.

The two girls at home were vulnerable to unwanted attention, so having some men's items would be safer.

Short down jackets, long down jackets, thermal underwear, wool pants, cashmere pants, padded cotton pants, various sizes and styles, regardless of gender, 1000 pieces of each.

Winter hand warmers, summer cooling pads, and sun protection items, 1000 pieces of each.

They had clothes to wear, and they needed bedding too.

Summer bamboo mats were easy to come by, but for winter, silk quilts, down quilts, and mink blankets were essential. She bought 50 sets of each.
