Chen Tianlong said ambiguously without confirming whether it was true or not.
The two had been out all day, and now seeing a big bed, they jumped onto it without hesitation; its softness made them instantly want to sleep. However, they were hungry, and it was definitely time to go out and satisfy their hunger.
Very soon, they went downstairs. There were a lot of restaurants nearby, and Chen Tianlong took Wu Mengting on a search, and not far away, they found a bustling street vendor stall.
This place had the grilled fish they liked.
Chen Tianlong looked at the signature dish of the place and was overjoyed; this grilled fish was exactly the kind he liked.
"Mengting, how about we have grilled fish?"
Chen Tianlong suggested to Wu Mengting, even though he knew that Mengting also liked grilled fish. But you never know, she might not be in the mood for it at the moment, and forcing it might make her unhappy.
"Hehe, sure, I really feel like having it." Wu Mengting said with a smile.
"Great, let’s go in then."
Chen Tianlong smiled slightly, still holding Wu Mengting’s hand, and walked straight into the grilled fish shop.
Inside the shop, the first floor was already full, but there seemed to be a second floor. So, Chen Tianlong walked to the front desk and asked, "Excuse me, are there any seats on the second floor?"
"I’m sorry, there are no empty seats on the second floor, but there is a spot by the window on the first floor, although time might be tight since the table has been reserved by another customer and he will arrive in half an hour. If you don’t mind and think you’re quick enough, please have a seat."
The waitress spoke very politely, pointing to a four-person table by the window.
Chen Tianlong thought for a moment and turned to Mengting, asking, "Shall we take it?"
"Waiter, how long until another table is available here?"
Wu Mengting hesitated a little, she really wanted to eat here by looking at the crowd, proving that the food must be good, so she naturally wanted to try the grilled fish here.
However, since it was such a short amount of time, she feared that halfway through their meal someone would come and it would be troublesome.
"I’m sorry, most customers come around this time, other tables will be available in at least an hour." The waitress explained apologetically.
Wu Mengting was a bit disappointed; she had expected this and turned to Chen Tianlong saying, "Chen Tianlong, let’s just settle for this table, we’ll eat quickly."
Chen Tianlong didn’t mind, as long as Wu Mengting was happy, nothing else mattered.
So he nodded, and they walked straight to the four-person table by the window. Although it was a four-person table, since someone had reserved it, they couldn’t just take a seat on the side.
Thinking of this, Chen Tianlong shook his head with a wry smile and sat down with Wu Mengting, facing each other.
Due to the special nature of Chen Tianlong’s table, the owner specifically arranged for a waiter to prepare their order first. Within a few minutes, their grilled fish arrived.
It was a spicy and sour grilled fish, which was Wu Mengting’s favorite. So Chen Tianlong took the menu and ordered it without hesitation.
Additionally, they ordered some side dishes to add as they wished, since even though this was grilled fish, there was broth underneath, kept warm by a small gas stove.
"Mengting, let’s dig in."
Chen Tianlong had been wandering all afternoon, and they only had a bread roll for lunch in the car, so he felt very hungry now.
"Alright." Mengting smiled sweetly, without reservation. Since they were already a couple, there was no need to be overly polite with each other, right?
So, they began to tackle the large grilled fish on the table, taking turns with their chopsticks and eating deliciously, as their expressions revealed the savoriness of the taste.
Before they knew it, they had unwittingly finished more than half.
However, they had forgotten the time, forgotten that someone would come after half an hour, and this person arrived ten minutes earlier.
"Waiter, could you show me the table I reserved?"
A brightly dressed girl stood by the service counter and asked blandly, while handing over her phone number and order number to the receptionist.
"Please hold on a moment, miss!"
The waiter didn’t look at her but took the provided information and began entering it into the computer. The next moment, she paused and signaled to another waiter.
At this point, the other waiter noticed something was amiss, hurried over, and upon seeing the information on the screen, felt a bit awkward.
"I’m very sorry, miss, but there are currently two people seated at your table, but they should be finishing soon, I’ll go hurry them along." The waiter apologized.
"What? What do you mean? Didn’t I reserve that table? How can someone else be sitting there?" Guo Jingjing was a bit angry, having been ditched by Situ Nan today, she was already fuming.
Even with her usually good temper, she felt a bit furious, especially with her reservation and the high price.
"I’m sorry, those two really liked our place and were in a hurry, seeing as you hadn’t arrived, we let them go ahead. If you want, I can go and see if they would agree to leave."

Guo Jingjing wasn’t an unreasonable person; she planned to see the situation for herself. If the couple was polite, she’d wait a bit longer; if not, she’d ask them to leave.

Without waiting for a response, Guo Jingjing walked straight over, the others around being clueless about the situation just kept eating.
"Hello... this table seems to have been reserved by me." Guo Jingjing remained polite. Without seeing their attitude, she wouldn’t lose her temper so easily.
"So you’re the one, sorry, we’ve just eaten halfway, could you let us..."
Hearing Guo Jingjing’s words, Chen Tianlong realized she was the person the waitress mentioned earlier. As he replied, he looked up, and the moment their eyes met, it felt as if time stopped.

It turned out to be that annoying woman.
