"After I got Erza to safety, I went with Wendy," Finn explained.

Finn nodded. "Don’t worry, let’s go check. We might find him."

Finn suddenly stopped.

"What is it?" Nancy, flying ahead, also stopped.

"Familiar magic! Over there, in the forest," Finn said, gazing towards the right side of the woods. "It feels like... the presence of death. And it’s very close."

Finn’s expression was grave.

"The presence of death? Could it be Zeref?!" Nancy exclaimed in surprise.

Finn nodded.

"Grimoire Heart’s goal is Zeref, who’s still on the island!"

Remembering information from his fight with Hades, Finn made a decision.

"Nancy, take me there. Let’s see what’s happening!"

"Right!" Nancy replied. She grabbed Finn’s back and flew towards the direction Finn indicated.

Meanwhile, Erza, clad in Black Feather Armor, moved with incredible speed, dodging leaves imbued with blade-like sharpness by Azuma, one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory.

Erza quickly closed the distance to Azuma, bringing her blade down without hesitation. Azuma reacted swiftly, his magic animating the surrounding trees, their branches extending to shield him.

"Steam Explosion!" Azuma seized the opportunity, exploiting Erza’s momentary vulnerability in mid-air. He unleashed a powerful blast, targeting the tree branches Erza had just severed.

The instant the explosion erupted, Erza switched to her Flame Empress Armor, deflecting the brunt of the blast. As the explosion subsided, golden light enveloped Erza as she landed on the ground. Her appearance shifted once more: her crimson hair transformed into intricate braids, her fiery red armor changed to gleaming silver, and a long spear materialized in her hand.

"Thunder Empress Armor!"

She aimed the spear at Azuma, a surge of lightning gathering at its tip before unleashing a devastating attack. The lightning instantly enveloped Azuma.

"Aaaaaah!!" Azuma screamed in agony, his body crashing into a nearby tree.

Slowly rising to his feet, Azuma fixed his gaze upon Erza, a wistful smile gracing his lips.

"While I’d love to have a good, clean fight with a strong opponent like you, time is running out..." he said, his voice laced with regret.

"What do you mean by that?" Erza questioned, her brow furrowed in confusion.

Ignoring Erza’s question, Azuma silently merged with the nearby tree.

"Trying to escape?!" Erza shouted, her voice ringing out through the forest.

But there was no response.

"Damn it!" Erza clenched the Thunder Empress spear tightly, her eyes narrowed in determination. Closing her eyes, she focused her senses, detecting Azuma’s magical energy moving towards a specific location.

"Not so fast!"

Golden light flared once more, and Erza’s armor transformed into the Flight Armor, its leopard-print design gleaming. With a slight bend of her knees, she launched herself into a rapid pursuit of Azuma.

At the same time, Natsu, Lucy, and the others were resting in a cave. They had recently encountered Lucy and Gray, and just moments ago, Loki had arrived through a Celestial Spirit World Gate, bringing news of his victory. He explained the situation:

About twenty years ago, Lucy’s mother, Layla, retired from her work as a mage due to health issues. She entrusted the three Celestial Spirits, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Cancer, to her three servants.

Capricorn’s successor was a man named Sorano. However, Capricorn and Layla had a separate contract: if Layla’s descendant ever pursued the dark arts, Capricorn would aid them.

Later, Sorano violated magical taboos, and to avoid annihilation, he was forced to merge with Capricorn. He gained Capricorn’s abilities and lived on through Capricorn’s body. Upon discovering that Lucy was Layla’s daughter, Sorano, inhabiting Capricorn’s body, developed murderous intentions.

Loki intervened, ensuring Lucy’s safety by keeping her away from the Sorano-possessed Capricorn. In the ensuing battle, Loki, together with the original Capricorn, managed to force Sorano out. Sorano, having already violated magical taboos, vanished after losing Capricorn’s body.

Capricorn, finally freed, returned to Lucy, becoming a source of power for her.

"So, that makes at least three of the Seven Kin defeated," Natsu commented after Loki finished his explanation.

"Three?" Lucy exclaimed, surprised.

Natsu nodded. "And Finn’s currently hunting down the remaining Kin on Tenrou Island."

"I see..." Lucy hugged her knees, gazing out at the rainy sky. "I wonder where Cana is... I’m a little worried."

Lucy and Gray had become separated from Cana earlier in the forest.

The relentless rain outside seemed to mirror Lucy’s growing anxiety.

"Anyway, we should head back to camp first. Cana might be there," Wendy suggested softly.

As they were talking, Happy and Charle, who had been scouting the area, flew back.

"We have some bad news. While scouting, we saw Gajeel and Levy surrounded by enemies. Gajeel’s fighting right now," Happy reported anxiously.

"We should go support them! Lily’s already there to help," Charle added.

The group nodded in agreement, rising to their feet to provide assistance to Gajeel.

"Oh, and we noticed something strange. This rain is only falling around us; it’s not raining anywhere else," Charle added, a thoughtful expression on her face.

"Whatever, let’s just go," Natsu said, dismissing the peculiar weather phenomenon with a shrug.

Using large leaves as makeshift umbrellas, the group ventured out into the rain.

————

Ultear felt a cold sweat trickle down her spine as she watched the giant rock behind her completely annihilated by a dark orb.

"Erased... if this continues, I’ll be erased too," she muttered, her voice laced with growing apprehension.

Her gaze shifted towards Zeref, who was calmly creating another dark orb in his hand, preparing to launch it at her.

"Time Arc!"

Upon uttering the incantation, Ultear activated her magic, summoning countless crystal orbs to materialize before her, forming a protective barrier against the incoming dark orb.

However, the magical expenditure was immense. Even Ultear, the leader of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, found herself gasping for breath after the intense magical exertion.

Seeing Zeref calmly forming another dark orb, Ultear raised her hand, her expression resolute.

"Time Arc, to the future!"

As Ultear’s words echoed through the air, several tiny saplings sprouted from beneath Zeref’s feet. Under the influence of Time Arc, the saplings rapidly aged, transforming into colossal trees in the blink of an eye.

..... ...... ....

The giant trees completely encircled Zeref, effectively trapping him within their massive trunks.

A triumphant smile spread across Ultear’s face. "He’s trapped now," she declared, her voice filled with a mixture of relief and anticipation.
