Given Nancy and Finn’s incredibly close relationship—as close as Natsu and Happy—Finn usually takes Nancy with him whenever he goes out. This time, however, he hadn’t.

Hearing Lucy’s question, Mirajane stroked her chin thoughtfully. "Finn? He’s gone off to train. He hasn’t been at the guild for two days."

Mirajane recalled Finn mentioning his intention to undertake a few days of intense training two days prior.

"Training?" Lucy exclaimed, her voice laced with surprise.

"Finn, that monster, needs more training? How much stronger does he want to become?!"

Upon hearing Mirajane’s explanation, Lucy clasped her hands to her head, unable to fully grasp the concept. After all, Lucy had witnessed Finn’s immense power firsthand, and in her estimation, he hadn’t yet encountered an opponent he couldn’t overcome.

Mirajane chuckled softly. "Finn, you see, he’s always striving to become stronger so that he can protect the people he cares about."

"It’s that unwavering dedication that fuels his strength!" she added, her voice filled with admiration.

Lucy nodded in agreement, her expression thoughtful. Then, a sudden realization struck her, causing her to exclaim with a look of alarm.

"Wait a minute... this intense heatwave started two days ago, the same day Finn started his training."

Lucy’s eyes widened as she stared at Mirajane, her voice laced with suspicion.

"You don’t think... Finn is responsible for this extreme heat in Magnolia, do you?"

Upon hearing Lucy’s theory, Mirajane tilted her head, feigning deep thought. Her mind involuntarily drifted back to Finn’s inherent power—fire, and incredibly high-temperature fire at that. It was entirely within the realm of possibility that he possessed the capability to engulf the entire town in such an intense heatwave.

"Considering what you’ve said," Mirajane responded slowly, her voice laced with a hint of uncertainty, "it’s certainly a possibility."

"What kind of training is he even doing? He’s actually managed to alter the climate of the entire town?!" Lucy exclaimed, her voice filled with a mixture of astonishment and disbelief.

Lucy was left utterly speechless, her mind reeling from Mirajane’s confirmation of the possibility.

In a remote, desolate area on the outskirts of Magnolia, the parched earth was cracked and fissured, revealing countless charred tree roots beneath the surface. The sheer extent of the devastation provided a stark testament to the intense heat that had ravaged the area. It was clear that this once-thriving forest had been completely incinerated.

At the heart of this scorched landscape, a lone figure sat cross-legged, their eyes tightly closed, their body completely still. For anyone familiar with the members of Fairy Tail, it would be immediately apparent that this was Finn, engaged in his intense training regimen.

The warped and distorted space surrounding Finn served as a stark visual representation of the extreme temperatures emanating from his very being. However, a closer inspection revealed that Finn’s brow was deeply furrowed, his facial expression contorted in a grimace, as if he was enduring immense physical or mental strain.

A single drop of sweat stealthily trickled down Finn’s forehead, only to instantly vaporize upon making contact with the scorching-hot ground beneath him. It was almost incomprehensible that even someone as powerful as Finn would succumb to such intense heat, causing him to perspire.

Time flowed silently as Finn remained completely motionless, his body seemingly unyielding. Night fell, only to be gently pushed aside by the rising sun, ushering in a new day. Yet, Finn’s deeply furrowed brow remained unchanged, his expression betraying the immense struggle he was enduring.

The temperature surrounding Finn intensified dramatically. Waves of intense heat emanated from his body, surging outwards towards the distant horizon. The temperature in Magnolia soared even higher, causing widespread discomfort and unrest amongst the town’s inhabitants.

The incessant complaints and grumbling of the townspeople echoed from within the town’s confines, their voices carrying a mixture of frustration and desperation. Countless ordinary citizens had become too afraid to venture out into the streets, seeking refuge within their homes, relying on various cooling magic items to alleviate the oppressive heat.

Inside the Fairy Tail guildhall, the oppressive heat was almost unbearable. Lucy, attempting to find some respite from the sweltering conditions by taking a dip in the guild’s pool, was horrified to discover that even the pool water was beginning to boil and evaporate.

"What in the world is going on?!" Lucy cried out in alarm, her voice laced with a mixture of disbelief and apprehension.

"This temperature... could Finn really be responsible for this?" she questioned herself, her mind struggling to reconcile the possibility.

Shaking her head in disbelief, Lucy made her way into the guildhall, seeking refuge from the oppressive heat.

Makarov, too, was dressed in a short-sleeved shirt, his hand continuously fanning himself with a handheld fan, his expression etched with a mixture of concern and apprehension.

"This extreme heat has persisted for three days now, and the temperature is rising each day. What on earth is going on?" Makarov muttered to himself, his voice laced with worry.

"Could it be that Finn’s gotten himself into some kind of trouble?" he added, his voice barely above a whisper.

Makarov, being the guild master, was well aware of the possibility that Finn might be responsible for the extreme heatwave plaguing Magnolia, a possibility that had also occurred to Lucy.

Gildarts, meanwhile, was unable to remove his cloak due to his injuries, leaving him sweltering in the oppressive heat. His face was flushed, and his throat was parched.

"It’s scorching hot! Absolutely scorching!" Gildarts complained incessantly, his voice filled with exasperation.

Upon hearing Makarov’s expression of concern, Gildarts spoke, his voice laced with a hint of worry. "I don’t know for sure whether Finn’s gotten himself into trouble, but if this intense heat doesn’t subside soon, we’re going to be in serious trouble ourselves."

Gildarts then turned his gaze towards the outside world, his expression darkening considerably.

"Numerous weeds and trees have already caught fire due to the extreme heat. If this continues unchecked..." Gildarts’ voice trailed off, his tone heavy with foreboding.

"We mages might be able to withstand this extreme heat, but the ordinary townspeople... they could be facing a serious crisis," Gildarts added, his voice filled with concern for the well-being of the Magnolia’s inhabitants.

Makarov let out a long, heavy sigh, his gaze fixed upon Gildarts.

"Perhaps you should go and find Finn. See if he’s actually responsible for this," Makarov suggested, his voice laced with a mixture of hope and apprehension.

Upon hearing Makarov’s suggestion, Gildarts nodded in agreement, rising to his feet with the intention of venturing outside to investigate. However, he suddenly paused, a look of surprise dawning upon his face.

"The temperature... it seems to be dropping!" Gildarts exclaimed, his voice laced with a mixture of astonishment and relief.

Gildarts extended his hand, using his skin to gauge the ambient temperature. Indeed, the air felt noticeably cooler than it had been just moments before.

"The temperature is plummeting dramatically!" Makarov confirmed, his voice filled with a mixture of relief and wonder.

For two individuals possessing such immense magical power, it was a relatively simple task to subtly perceive and assess changes in ambient temperature.

"From the looks of it, the temperature increase was indeed artificially induced, and it’s highly likely that Finn is responsible," Makarov concluded, his voice laced with a mixture of relief and a hint of knowing exasperation.

Gildarts nodded in agreement, his expression reflecting a mixture of relief and curiosity.

"Just what kind of training was he undergoing? To cause such a massive disturbance in the environment is truly beyond comprehension," Gildarts muttered, his voice filled with a mixture of awe and bewilderment.

"Regardless, it seems his training is now complete," Makarov stated, his voice laced with a hint of relief.

Makarov raised his glass of alcohol and took a sip. Although the hot alcohol tasted somewhat strange due to the recent heatwave, Makarov’s anxieties had subsided considerably, and he no longer paid much attention to such minor inconveniences.

Meanwhile, in a secluded location, Finn slowly opened his eyes, eyes that had remained tightly shut for the past three days. A flash of fiery red light seemed to flicker within his eyes for a fleeting moment before vanishing as quickly as it had appeared. A subtle smile curved his lips.

"After three grueling days, I’ve finally mastered Bankai!" Finn murmured to himself, his voice filled with uncontainable excitement.

Bankai. The second stage of Zanpakutō release, following Shikai, the initial release. It represented the ultimate, complete release of the Zanpakutō’s power.

To achieve Bankai, one must fully materialize the Zanpakutō and completely subdue its spirit. In simpler terms, it requires the complete conquest of the Zanpakutō, allowing the wielder to harness its full power and unleash its most devastating techniques.

Ever since his previous encounter at the Tower of Heaven, where he had successfully learned to seal his flames within his Zanpakutō and had engaged in a fierce clash with the Spirit of Magic, Finn had felt that he was on the verge of achieving Bankai.

With continuous practice and the steady growth of his magical power, Finn finally met the conditions required to materialize his Zanpakutō. And so, he embarked upon his arduous journey to conquer his Zanpakutō.

To subdue Ryūjin Jakka, however, there was only one way, one single requirement: to defeat it! And there was always the possibility that Finn might be killed by Ryūjin Jakka in the process.

However, to prevent the city from being utterly destroyed as a result of his intense battle with Ryūjin Jakka, Finn had chosen...
