Chapter 128: Chapter 0128 Scared to Death_1

In the open space before Zhang Bin’s Villa, thirty tables were set for a banquet. Numerous guests sat around the tables, drinking rice wine, feasting on mountain delicacies, and offering words of congratulations. The scene was bustling with excitement.

Two members of the Diao Clan were still handcuffed to a tree trunk. They were hungry and furious, their faces etched with resentment. However, they were completely helpless, as even the powerful Diao Clan could not influence the Special Action Team. Consequently, no one came to their rescue. They could only watch the others feast while they starved.

What made them so angry they could spit blood were Zhang Bin’s two dogs, Big Fatty and Second Fatty. The shameless mutts would occasionally run up to them and urinate, soaking their shoes and pant legs with an unbearable stench. Furthermore, the dogs would often bare their teeth at the two men, looking as if they wanted to take a bite.

Big Fatty and Second Fatty often breathed in spiritual energy and had grown rapidly. They were much larger than common mongrels, and their sharp teeth looked truly terrifying when they snarled. The two men were scared out of their wits, letting out cries of terror from time to time.

As if that wasn’t enough, Big Fatty and Second Fatty started barking loudly.

"WOOF, WOOF, WOOF..."

Their barks carried far and wide.

"ROAR..."

Soon, a tiger’s roar echoed. Da Huang leaped down from Mantou Ridge, radiating a ferocious and intimidating aura. It bounded over and quickly arrived beneath the large tree in front of Zhang Bin’s Villa, assuming a pouncing stance as if about to devour the two Diao Clan members.

Da Huang was not a cat, a dog, or a wolf, but a genuine, bona fide tiger. Initially, Zhang Bin hadn’t recognized it as a tiger, thinking it was just a sick cat with a congenital heart defect. But after a period of rapid development, it had transformed into a fearsome tiger. Even the villagers were afraid of it; after all, it was the king of beasts.

Of course, Da Huang was very different from a normal tiger. Zhang Bin had developed its mind, making it super-intelligent. Aside from being unable to speak, it was nearly human in every other way. With additional guidance from Little Fox, Da Huang would never attack humans. It only hunted wild beasts within Great Green Mountain, though it also ate the raw meat Zhang Bin prepared for it.

Da Huang usually didn’t come into the village, as it stayed on Mantou Ridge to guard the medicinal herbs Zhang Bin had planted. Its presence now was, of course, due to Big Fatty and Second Fatty’s summons. Animals have their own language, and they are fiercely loyal to their masters. The two dogs knew full well that these men were Zhang Bin’s enemies, so they were tormenting them in every way possible. Summoning Da Huang served the same purpose: to frighten the Diao Clan members until they were scared out of their wits.

"Help!" the Diao Clan men screamed frantically, terrified out of their minds. They were handcuffed to the tree trunk with no way to escape. Now, with an incredibly fierce tiger treating them like its next meal, how could they not be frightened? Tigers were man-eaters, after all.

"ROAR..."

Da Huang roared again, its cry seeming to shake heaven and earth as a murderous aura surged skyward. Then, it leaped high into the air and pounced, its gaping maw revealing gleaming white fangs that could chill one to the bone.

"Momma..."

The two men’s eyes rolled back in their heads as they fainted dead away. A yellow liquid trickled from their trousers, releasing a foul stench.

"Hahaha..."

All the villagers burst into uncontrollable laughter, some laughing so hard they nearly dislocated their jaws.

"Well done, Da Huang!" Ma Rufei stood up and gave the tiger a thumbs-up.

Da Huang ignored him and rushed to Zhang Bin’s side, wagging its flagpole-like tail rapidly.

"You’ll get a reward tonight. Go on now," Zhang Bin said, patting Da Huang’s head.

Da Huang beamed with joy, then dashed away like a gust of wind, returning to Mantou Ridge to continue guarding the medicinal herbs.

"Zhang Bin, you actually have a tiger for a pet?" Zhao Dawei finally snapped back to reality, his face full of envy and jealousy. "That is ridiculously cool, way cooler than raising a Tibetan Mastiff."

"Zhang Bin, how did you turn a tiger into a pet? Doesn’t it hurt people?" Qian Bing asked in amazement.

"Actually, in the beginning, I didn’t know it was a tiger. I thought it was a cat, a sick one with a congenital heart problem. So I cured it and raised it as a pet cat. This is the result. It’s very smart and never harms people," Zhang Bin said half-truthfully.

"Don’t lie to us. You clearly understand the language of beasts and have mastered the amazing skill of taming them," Sun Tie said seriously, putting down his glass.

"Tie, don’t be so serious, you’re scaring me," Zhang Bin replied.

"Hahaha..."

Everyone at the table burst into laughter.

Ma Rufei added with a sly grin, "My master really does understand the language of beasts. He also has an unbelievably smart fox and a pair of chimpanzees that are always working hard moving bricks."

"Using chimpanzees to move bricks?"

Zhao Dawei and the others stared, their eyes wide with disbelief.

But they immediately believed it, because Big Black and Second Black returned, each carrying a bundle of firewood as large as a small hill. The two of them tossed the firewood in front of the temporary open-air kitchen and strode over. They began gesturing at Zhang Bin and even tried to snatch the wine cup from his hand, clearly wanting a drink. They were already dressed in large shorts and vests, clothes that Zhang Bin had asked Auntie Zheng, who used to be a tailor, to make for them.

"Big Black, Second Black, offer a toast to each of our guests!" Zhang Bin had Xiao Fang bring over two cups, and Ma Rufei quickly filled them with wine.

Big Black and Second Black grinned from ear to ear. Each grabbed a cup and grunted at Zhao Dawei while raising their cups in a toasting gesture.

"You want to have a drink with me?" Zhao Dawei asked in astonishment.

Big Black and Second Black nodded repeatedly, then raised their cups and downed the wine in one gulp. They even turned the cups upside down to show that not a single drop remained.

"Impressive!" Zhao Dawei exclaimed, and without hesitation, he also drank his full cup of wine.

The two large apes then continued toasting the guests one by one, making everyone roar with laughter. They finally understood: these two apes were incredibly smart and could truly understand what they were saying. Therefore, they shouldn’t be seen as just chimpanzees, but as two mute people.

As the cups and plates were passed around, everyone became half-drunk. Ma Rufei lowered his voice and said, "Dawei, this time, can we finally get rid of the Diao Clan? They’re too despicable. They’ve been coveting my master’s medicinal formulas and have done many outrageous things. A family like that... should we really let them continue their evil ways?"

Hearing this, Zhang Bin, Tian Guangjin, Qin Xiaolong, and Yue Xing, who were all at the same table, pricked up their ears.
