Chapter 130 - 106: Monastery Ghost Stories (Part 4)

Facing this sudden anomaly, Sosia knew she had definitely provoked something extremely dangerous.

If she had followed Sun Yan's instructions, doing nothing in this monastery for 24 hours, perhaps there wouldn't have been much danger.

But now that she broke in here, everything started to spin out of control.

"You shouldn't have come here, child."

A voice suddenly rang out behind Sosia. She turned around quickly to be on guard and saw an old nun in a nun's attire.

She clasped her hands at her chest, expressing a very sad and regretful look.

However, what was horrifying was that the old nun's eyes were pitch-black, like two hollows.

Her eyes were unknown as to why someone had gouged them out.

"Who are you?" Sosia frowned and asked.

"I'm already dead, my name doesn't matter. What matters is that you shouldn't have come here. This place was meant to be buried in the past forever until everyone forgets what happened in this monastery. Only then will 'He' be forgotten, and the disaster won't happen again."

"Who is he?"

"Don't try to learn his name, let alone mention it. He will sense your presence and eternally haunt you in the void, driving you to madness until you willingly become His most loyal believer."

The old nun waved her hand, "Go now, quickly, while He hasn't fully discovered you. You still have a chance to escape alive."

But before Sosia could respond, just as the old nun's voice faded.

The whole chapel suddenly surged with an inexplicable chill, and droplets started seeping from the floor, raindrops falling from the ceiling onto Sosia.

"Hmm?" Sosia instinctively looked up.

She saw that the colorful murals on the chapel's dome had inexplicably started to melt, the painted men and women fading and turning into colorful rain falling from the sky.

The stones of the dome squirmed and transformed into writhing tentacles, twisting and intertwining at the dome.

In the gaps between the tangled tentacles, pupil-like eyes opened one after another, cold and ruthless, staring down at Sosia as if she were an ant.

"It's too late, He has found you..." the old nun sighed, her figure slowly disappearing into the dark.

At this time, under the gaze of those pupil-like eyes, Sosia inexplicably felt a strange sensation in her heart, and immediately transformed into her werewolf state.

Uneasy, she bared her sharp fangs at the pupil-like eyes and tentacles above.

But this act of intimidation brought her no sense of security. The longer she stared into the pupil-like eyes, the more irritated Sosia felt.

Her sanity seemed to be continuously waning, causing her to want to destroy everything around her in irritation.

She didn't know where this feeling came from, and more importantly, she couldn't control her emotions to calm herself down.

After twisting and intertwining for a while, the tentacles began to slowly droop downward.

They crept down the walls, sealing all of Sosia's escape routes.

Chaos, pollution, filth... all the unpleasant words appeared at this moment.

Before her eyes, Sosia seemed to see classical oil paintings made of paint and ink, showcasing various landscapes.

Stars at night twisted and rotated, and the castles and lands were filled with swirling vortices, spinning continually.

A man standing on a bridge silently screamed, clutching his face, his body and the bridge beneath him twisting against the backdrop of the twilight sunset.

The many whirlpools that appeared devoured everything.

Sosia's eyes turned blood red as she knelt to the ground, gasping for air, struggling to resist but unable to muster any strength.

Her mind became increasingly chaotic, so twisted that Sosia felt the entire chapel was spinning, and every moment around her the scene was changing.

And the reason those scenes changed was because of the writhing tentacles.

This was the most incomprehensible hallucination.

"Woof! Woof! Woof!"

Seeing Sosia in this state, Dahuang barked anxiously from the side.

But it was also powerless. With the tentacles approaching, Dahuang started showing symptoms similar to Sosia's.

It stuck out its tongue and collapsed on the ground, dizzy to the point of vomiting, scared shitless.

Just as the approaching tentacles were about to completely encase Sosia, her backpack suddenly emitted two beams of red and blue light.

Which repelled all the nearing tentacles, as two General Enhancing Puppets crawled out from Sosia's backpack.

Holding the Fire Talisman and Tiger Token, they stood on Sosia and Dahuang, silently resisting the approach of those eerie tentacles.

Sosia, with her blurred consciousness, looked at the two self-moving puppets, finally unable to hold on and instantly fainted.

...

"Wake up, hey, wake up, you muscle-brained werewolf."

Feeling her cheek being patted, Sosia slowly opened her eyes, and when she recognized the person in front of her.

She immediately reacted, springing agilely from the ground, cautiously surveying her surroundings.

Sosia hurriedly rummaged through her backpack, searching every pouch but failing to find the two General Enhancing Puppets.

This reminded Sosia of those two self-moving puppets which had protected both her and Dahuang before she lost consciousness.

"Could it be that thanks to the two General Zeng, Dahuang and I survived? But where have they gone?"

Gazing at the vortex-patterned ground, Sosia felt a growing sense of unease.

The missing two General Enhancing Puppets... she feared they might never be found again.

Sosia quickly took out her phone from her pocket, only to find the livestream had automatically ended due to the network disconnection.

The GPS indicated her current location was precisely where the abandoned monastery should be.

"Gone, the whole monastery vanished. What on earth was that creature?"

Sosia muttered to herself in fright, her mind haunted by the scenes she saw before passing out.

If she hadn't carried the General Enhancing Puppets given by Sun Yan, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Both she and Dahuang might not have survived unscathed like this.

Sosia plopped to the ground, overwhelmed by the shock.

No matter what, she had to fulfill what Sun Yan had entrusted to her, staying for a full 24 hours before returning.

"Are you coming? If not, I'll head back alone."

Elise, already seated on the motorcycle, asked loudly.

"I would never ride with you, filthy Blood Race."

Sosia lay on the ground, her eyes staring into the dark night sky, responding weakly.

"Tch~ Then I'll take Dahuang with me first."

Elise put on her helmet, immediately riding off on the motorcycle.

A few seconds later.

"Eh? Where did that woman's motorcycle come from?"

Sosia muttered skeptically.

...

A few kilometers away, two bruised bikers limped along the road, noses bleeding.

"I told you not to mess with that woman, didn't I? A woman who dares to walk alone in a place like this at night isn't someone to mess with. Now our motorcycles got stolen by her."

"How was I supposed to know, Shit."
